Churrascos - Westchase
I’ve come for friends and family birthday dinner and they always get a special little treat of dessert. This time I decided to spend my birthday here and I told the host it was my birthday and did not get nothing. Not coming back for any special occasions
Good food and great atmosphere! The price is and food is always fresh!
The food as always was excellent! Had red snapper with shrimp and lump crab. Delicious white wine sauce and avocado.
Always my choice to celebrate a birthday or other celebration. We’ve been repeat customers throughout the years. Love all the menu items, from plantains to desserts.
Prompt seating, attentive service and excellent food. One of our favorite restaurants
Houston restaurtants week is the perfect time to visit Churrasco's. We went at lunchtime and enjoyed food from the $20 HRW menu. Their delicious salad was on the menu as was a filet, which was large enough to split and finish later. The chimichurri filet was available for an extra charge, but we ordered the one with cheese and a red pepper on top. So many great choices for HRW, but we're glad we went to Churrasco's.
Went for a Birthday lunch and tried the buffet for the first time. The food here is always fantastic and the buffet choices did not disappoint!!!! One of my favorite restaurants!!!! Love the plantain chips and dips, plantain crusted chicken, fried plantains, vegetables, and of course their steak is mouth watering delicious 😋!!!
We went for restaurant month and had lunch. Was excellent! Included salad or soup and main course. Had shrimp and is was great. So glad it is on the regular menu!
Excellent service, food quality, hostess experience. Easy lunch parking and getting in / out was convenient.
The food was wonderful. First time at this location. Had 9 for brunch and set us in a smaller room. Time to talk and eat at leisure. I was a little disappointed in our waiter as had to make same requests more than once.
We really enjoyed our meal. Flavors outstanding. It was very nice to be able to have a conversation at our table. If you want load and noisy not your place. If you want intimacy and able to hear your company this is a great place. Great food and service.
This was not our first visit to Currascos - Westchase. We visit this location about twice a year. The food was great, the service was great, and the atmosphere (especially in the atrium-lit dinning room) was great. This is not a cheap place to eat, so I would prepare for a $100+ bill for a couple. If you're looking for an anniversary place without breaking the bank, this is a good option for those of us that live on the west side of town.
Buffet was amazing. Large selection to choose from and plenty of items even the children with us enjoyed. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Really enjoyed every moment !!
Poor seating arrangement no ambience total Saturday night kill no vibe
Great for business lunch with excellent variety and fresh tasting food. Great service and we were able to sit in a quiet area.
Service was slow and the food was not that good.
Had a nice small group table in the main open eating area, table for 6, and ambiance was perfect for a group of that size. Easy to talk at all times over dinner. Food was excellent, and service staff very attentive and friendly.
Staff were attentive without being obtrusive. They guided us to a table in a quite part of the restaurant, service was excellent.
For $39.80 pp (different price on website) it was not worth the money. The food was decent but again not for the price. We got a small carafe of Sangria and it was $30 a carafe. Very noisy and very crowded, difficult getting around the buffet. For $25 pp it would be great.
Great place, love the food. Recommend this place to all my friends and family.
Have been coming here for years and I think, hands down, this was the best dining experience ever. Food was great, Both quality and variety. Crowd flow was excellent with very little wait during the busy holiday brunch.
It’s a nice place overall and there is a ton of food but not everything is seasoned. Dessert that need to be culled is sometimes warm.
Our waiter Paul was nice.
The pasta/omelette station is awesome! Nice cooks over there too.
An absolutely fabulous causal dinner with the family. Had a Syrah wine called The Big Easy I highly recommend. Queso feature was great. My tuna ceviche was the best! But the Churrasco never disappoints. Enjoy!
Always good quality food here. Generally good for a business lunch.
Daniel, our server was Excellent, attention to details and great ambience makes this location a must go!
The restaurant was very professional and food was very good. I recommend any of the desserts. The shrimp entrees were delicious as well outside of the signature steak dishes. Definitely try the Carmel thin cookie like desserts.
Dependably good, and the live music was a plus!
Exceptional service. Daniel was great. Food was delicious, we got stuffed jumbo shrimps and grilled salmon with seafood ceviches for appetizer. We enjoyed all dishes. We got a complimentary dessert for his birthday. Will come back.
Unfortunately, the service was terrible that it ruined Mother’s Day for the family. No refills of water was made or were we even approached to be checked on. I understand the day was expected to be filled with people but you still need control of the people and ambiance.
Made a reservation and still had to wait 45 minutes. Decor reminiscent of an Army Mess Hall only darker. Mediocre food at best. Serving raw beef. $43 per person for the Mother's Day Buffet. Extremely disappointed, I was embarrassed to take my wife and son's mother to such a crappy place to celebrate her. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone ever.
I would say yes and no. There is no point of reserving a table. I Reserved a table for 1:30 and they still told me i had to wait 45 min to an hour.
Years ago i worked at the grotto as the hostess. And if there was a reservation at a certain time we left that table opened for the guest no matter how long people were waiting. Reservations were before any walk in. But in this case they didnt just do it to me, but they did it to tons of people there.
On a very hectic Mother’s Day, we had about a 40 minute wait for our 1:30pm reservation. If you are going for a event day like Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day, I strongly recommend booking a week or two in advance. Walk-ins are not possible on those days.
However, the food, the staff and our server were so wonderful that our experience was still 100% positive.
This place was a fiasco. There was an hour wait for people who had already made reservations. Don't know what they were doing. No manager in sight, just a couple poor hourly workers at the host stand trying to deal with dozens of very angry customers on Mothers day. Many had elderly parents who had to wait either outside or in very crowded/claustrophobic conditions at the front. Once we were seated things were fine -but no manager out front is a serious default of leadership in a crisis. Manager should be fired and there should have been more staff on hand for the crowd they expected.
We had reservation on Mother’s Day and they seriously overbooked. Great food, service was fair but it was brunch buffet and it was way to crowded. Difficult to even make it to the buffet area and waiting for omelets, waffles, crepes all took way to long. We have little kids so someone was at the table for at least ten minutes with the kids while the other was trying to navigate the buffet area with a plate for yourself and one for the kids. Never had a chance to eat together which was a disappointment.
We had a reservation at 1pm on Mother’s Day for brunch. We waited for about 45min-1hr. for our table. We were starving, our moms were a bit upset. I think Churrascos shouldn’t over reserve tables to avoid the problem with the wait. The poor host was getting yelled at and there were a lot of mad customers that I saw just walk out in anger. I usually love the brunch here but they were out of plain rain chips when I went up there and the food quality wasn’t as good as before in the past.
Love the food, however the reservation time was not honored and we had to wait 45min before being sat.
We were there for mother's day brunch, which I realize is one of the busiest restaurant days of the year; however, they could have done a better job of managing tables. Even with a reservation, we waited over 30 min for our table for a party of 4. I believe the number of reservations available should have been reduced. I also had to ask a waitperson for our drink order after waiting 5 min at my table. The food was great but it felt like were cattle trying navigate.
We eat at Churasscos every chance we get and are more than satisfied every time. This time however was extra special, our server made sure of that. The food, although they might invest in something to help keep the food hot, was very good. As mentioned some, the chicken dishes mainly, we're cold and if I based my review on just that it would be 1 star. But everything else made up for it. We'll most assuredly will be back, we love the variety, taste, ambiance and service. Service isn't always this good but our service person was great. I made sure to leave her a healthy tip to show our appreciation.
