Churrascos - The Woodlands
The food was amazing. Our server was great but we thought the drinks could have came out a little faster. Seemed the bar was a little slow! We will definitely be back though!
Birthday lunch for my 83 year old mom mom. We had the patio on the beautiful Waterway to ourselves. The mojitos and Churrascos steak was delicious. The sweet and attentive waiters surprised mom with sinfully delicious tres leches cake. Go to Churrascos. Great lunch menu with drink specials
10/10! Everything was AMAZING. I definitely would recommend and will for sure be coming back.
New Year’s Dinner
The food and service were awesome. It wasn't very crowded so was also rather quiet.
Graduation. Master Degree.
I expected more. Arriving at the place it was lunchtime and it was quiet. The table I was assigned was pretty shabby, and so were the seats. Looked like the place had a very worn out feel about it. This was the only opportunity of dining with my colleagues this year. It was the festive season and there was ZERO festive about the establishment. There appeared to be only one member of staff in the entire building, hence he was running about all over the place. The starters ordered were of questionable quality - the only acceptable one was a Ceaser salad! The main courses came and went, and really did not impress; felt like they were reheated from night before. All in all I will have to say it was a very poor experience, and for 200 dollars I could have got an awful lot more elsewhere. I will not be back and will not recommend this place to anyone. Value for money - certainly not; quality of food? Terrible.
The best food and service you will get in Houston. I have been going to Churascos for over 15 years and it’s still my favorite restaurant. I wish I could go there weekly.
Food was a little cold and waiter was very slow. It is usually an enjoyable dinning experience, but not impressed tonight.
We love churrascos!
Be prepared to wait! Recent reviewers had indicated that Churrasco's had slow service. We still decided to dine there because we like the food. Well... 30 minutes before our cocktail order was placed was a bit much! Were it not for the basket of plaintain chips that arrived promptly after we were seated, we probably would have departed before the waitress finally arrived.
Poor staffing (only one bartender on a Saturday night and not enough servers) seems to be the biggest issue.
I hope they get it fixed!
Misunderstanding with my server but didn’t offer to correct it, I was somewhat disappointed but didn’t expect him to correct it as he didn’t seem to have extensive experience serving at very nice restaurants.
Great food - great service . Miguel was our best server yet!
Because we booked through open table, we were seated at a high top table between the bar and host stand. I even selected “standard seating” when booking (not the bar) but when you book on open table it “automatically puts you at that table” restaurant was all but empty when we arrived and left, but hostess couldn’t seat us anywhere else. Apart from that and the ceiling light shining brightly in my husband’s face, the food was fantastic!
Great service and the food was delicious
Loved the food and atmosphere will return. The staff was great.
The seasoning on the grilled shrimp was superb.
Good food. Poor service. This place was probably great 5-7 years ago. Now it’s time for an overhaul. The potential is there!
Churrascos is our go to place for business dinners and special personal occasions. The food is excellent and service is top notch.
Great hang out spot. Nice atmosphere. Excellent service.
First time to visit restaurant, we were very pleased with the food and service. servers were very attentive, food was excellent and portions were large, plantain chips were some of the best I've had (and I lived in Ft Lauderdale at one time). Recommend this restaurant.
Excellent MEAL as in the past with attentive service!! We miss their OPEN Buffet Style Sunday brunch availability due to COVID restrictions ... !! A Great Restsurant !!
Excellent staff and food seating overlooking the waterway. Very relaxing and romantic.
Great selection of food delivered with great service.
We came here for the brunch without realizing it was discontinued. The food and alcohol was overpriced. Considerably overpriced. I have a feeling there would be more customers if the food and alcohol was lowered for the lunch and weekend brunch crowd.
It was a very disappointing experience. The waiter was aloof and did not check on us and never noticed our glasses were empty. The 10oz churrasco steak was the same size as my petite filet. For a $50 meal my husband got a small steak with a couple small chunks of potato and carrots, he went home hungry and had to eat more when we got home. Just not a good value and the food was not as tasty as we have had in the past. We don’t plan on returning.
Food was good but slow to come to the table. Waiter was either very new or inexperienced. Had to ask for EVERYTHING even to get another drink. Kid’s Order was wrong. Disappointing visit.
Fabulous food and service. Bar was backed up on drinks but the waitress explained that ahead of time unlike many places that feign astonishment when drinks don’t appear. Tres leches and empanadas to die for
Birthday lunch! We had a great time
Order 5 meals one came out way after 4 had eaten worst experience in years and manager was terrible about it
Always have a great experience at Churasscos. Service, wine selection, food!!!
First, it’s September in Houston and it was hotter in the restaurant than it was outside. When we walked outside it was actually cooler. No kidding.
The service was very slow even though it wasn’t busy at 6:30pm when we arrived. It remained slow the entire evening. After eating, we waited 20 min to have our plates removed.
My wife ordered the Tres cake and it took another 15 min to get dessert. it was actually sitting in a puddle of milk when it was delivered. Wet and nasty.
The ceviche wasn’t good either. Kinda weird with large pieces of Talapia buried underneath onions and raw hominy. Very strange and not good.
Avoid and go for a sauna and a burger elsewhere. You’ll leave much happier and spend about $100 less too.
Terrible Service, got food an hour in a half of sitting down. After this kind wait, the food did not meet my expectations.Lacked flavor, lacked presentation, and the shrimp was over cooked. The dessert save the day and my 10 wedding anniversary. The plantains and Salsa was great. Manuel could have bought us more if he knew we was going to wait and hour and a half to eat.
Dined here on a Saturday night during Houston Restaurant Weeks 2020. THE GOOD: the fried plantain and sauces, my ceviche appetizer, her chicken empanadas, my Pollo Jalapeña, her Churrasco steak was its usual awesomeness, my Tres leches was excellent as usual, first time I've ever been here where the noise level was reasonable; THE MEDIOCRE: having to wait 10 minutes for our reservation when they weren't busy and had tables available, the waiter would disappear for long periods of time, and her Delirio de Chocolate was too over the top sweet; THE BAD: she only ate half of her Churrasco steak and asked for it to be boxed but they threw it away.
First time diners. Serve gave excellent recommendations. Active manager. Great food. Just would have loved a dollop of Mexican vanilla whipped cream on my flan
Enjoyed the HRW dinner - great food and excellent service!
The service was good and we felt the waitress was pleasant. I think they must have been struggling with the AC because it got very hot and humid about halfway through.
We did the restaurant week menu and the food was good. They were also helpful and let us share plates.
Service was extremely slow and the restaurant was not crowded. Dinner took about 3 hours++. It was absolutely miserable due to the heat. They said that the air was on but not cooling well. We were sweating at 9 pm due to the heat, and it was worse since the service was SO slow.. While the food was good and the value paid was ok, we will not return.
I will say that they did a great job with social distancing and table placement. All servers wore masks and they rated an A+ in this area.
Great server. Enjoyed the HRW menu. Great time with just the girls
Delicious gambas al ajillo, perfect service from Brittany. I look forward to my next visit - thank you!
