Churrascos-Sugar Land Ratings and Reviews
We went for Valentine’s Day dinner. The delay in service and the wait time to receive food are what make me rate the evening lower. It took almost an hour to receive our food. My husband had ordered an item that they ran out of but they didn’t inform us until 15 minutes after we had ordered. The server was knowledgeable but seemed rushed and over worked as if he couldn’t handle the number of tables assigned to him.
The food itself was cooked well and flavorful when it arrived. We expected to be given some type of small desert or compensation for the delay but we were only given an apology and told it would be a better experience next time.
Love the food and atmosphere, but this recent visit was horrible. We got seated right away but the service took forever. We order our food and 30 minutes later it was not ready, according to our waiter the kitchen was backuped. Than 20 minutes pass by and no food or refills. Than we started seeing other people getting their food, who got there after us. When we complained, They told us it was coming. After 10 minutes later we finally got our food but it was burned. I felt the waiter forgot to put our order in and once we complained, they hurry up and burned the food. The manager came over and apologized and said we didn’t have to pay. They bagged another other to go. I really appreciated the manager for making it right. It was the first bad experience we had at churrascos. The previous visit have been great, but I will continue to come back.
Food, service, and atmosphere was great. Only negative is.. I’ve eaten there on 6 different occasions and get seated in the exact same spot. I even made reservations requesting a different and more intimate seat but was still seated by everyone else in the same spot I’m always placed.
My wife and I enjoyed a date night, while grandma and grandpa, in town from Chicago, watched our kids. We had never been there before, but it was recommended by a friend. The experience was wonderful. The service was superb and the food was great. At this time in our life, we aren't able to get away very often, however, I expect Churrascos will be a place we return, knowing the quality of the time we spent there.
We did the wine dinner last week....a bit disappointed...the server brought the wine already poured from the bar for each course. Did not talk about the wine at all or the courses that were being paired. We had to ask to see the bottle if it was one we liked. Not real generous w the pours either. Has not been this way in the past! Food was ok, but not Fabulous!
The Sunday Brunch food quality has greatly gone down. Prime rib carver was absent most of the time, and you had to wait over 5 minutes for him to show up.
I felt that I was at a low cost "America's buffet" type of low quality buffet but for a much higher cost.
Food was pretty good but not hot enough. The service was extremely slow. The family style rice and yucca platter was only enough for two diners and not the four who ordered the Churrasco steak it was meant to accompany. The espresso machine was broken so no after dinner coffee drinks.
We are long time CHurrasco's fans and this was a very good, fun experience and the food was outstanding. We had to change out two chairs due to them not being in good repair. The complimentary Tres Leches for the birthday girl was outstanding and the waiter flambeau experience was a real treat. We all thought it was the best Tres Leches we have ever had. The steaks were excellent and cooked to perfection. Our waiter was good and attentive to the right degree. The restaurant could use some refreshing, but still a fun, dining experience.
