Churrascos - River Oaks
8th Anniversary. Food & Service excellent
Brownie Desert very hard could not eat so they took it off the check. Was looking forward to it.
Overall Excellent Experience
Love their Sunday buffet. Lots of great options!
Great place to get a good meal and enjoy a quite place with a loved one. Happy hour is only at the bar.
The chicken empanadas were great! Service great, as usual.
Great food great service. Coming back!
Food was great, service was great. We live in lake Charles and go to Houston to eat there
Food was good and tasty. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Monthly wine dinner which is always outstanding!! Great food and wines. Try to go every month since it is so good
Great as always! When l asked for a dish they normally only serve for dinner, they made it for me for lunch! Love the place. Cilantro dressing is unlike any other!! The best.
Juan Pablo & Tino are the Best!! So Attentive!
This has been one of my favorite restaurants for a very lo g time however I moved out of state for a while and this was my first trip back in 2 years. I was very disappointed my favorite dish wasnt on the menu any longer but was told if they had the ingredients it could be prepared. That made me happy. When the meal came out it wasnt the same, still very good but not as good. It seems the restuarant has become more casual as well. Didnt love that.
Perfect for a casual with family and friends
Excellent food, larger plates for a lunch menu than most of other places, excellent service.
Both my daughter and I always celebrate our birthdays (one day apart) at Churrascos. Great steaks and desserts.
Food was great. Paid the extra for the 8oz steak, however we received a 6oz steak. Although we questioned it, our waitress continued to claim that it was an 8oz steak and did not want to replace it. Other than that annoyance, the experience was great and food delicious.
Excellent service and food
Brought my mom-in-Law here for Sunday Brunch for her birthday. She is visiting from New Mexico. All the the Brunch offerings we tried were excellent! And she enjoyed her meal!
We have been looking forward to eating here for a long time. The place looked so nice inside! The food unfortunately was very disappointing and overpriced. The Churrasco steak tasted like olive oil with a very fishy after taste and little seasoning. If your going for steak, I'd go elsewhere. If I was forced to go back I would order drinks and a flaming tres leche cake (amazing dessert, that made the check easier to swallow). I'm sure this place was amazing at one time, but quality of food is not their focus at this time.
Our food was delicious (we ate our weight in plantain chips & dip!) and our service was spectacular. Great place for lunch!
Food was average. Compare to Memorial location or Americas. Desert was terribly dry ( brownie) and cold. I do not reccomend it to friends.
Food was really good. I felt portions were small for price. But the food was all really good!
We were underwhelmed with the food at churrascos. The steak was okay at best and the béarnaise sauce was just down right gross. The small potatoes it was served with were hard and under cooked. My mother and wife got the same dish but yet one came with pieces of veggies and the other didn’t. The sauce on the fish lacked flavor. We will not be going back again
Great first time. For sure will be coming back. Only recommendation is more flavor mimosas. Lency was great.
Great. Great food and great server.
Kind of sparse. What is going on here? Great food, but nobody there? Did I mention GREAT FOOD??
The food was amazing! Churrascos truly has an amazing brunch buffet. And our server Isabel was fantastic! We will definitely be going back for brunch.
Great food with great service
Always delicious! Love the chicken encamasado with spicy retried bean purée!
My husband tried the salmon this time and said it was delicious!
Always a great dining experience!
I had been here in almost 15 years! The food was just as delicious as before. Great service as well! A little pricey but the quality of the food makes it worth it!
We had someone in our party that admittedly was wearing a tank top however, AFTER we went for our first round of brunch buffet the waitress came and told us that tank tops were not allowed. First of all if management would have told us at the door when we first got there, we could have gotten him a t-shirt. But the simple fact we were made uncomfortable the whole dining experience. I personally will never go there again and I will definitely tell my friends and loved ones never to go here. Personally I feel as though he was racially profiled to be quite honest. Shame on you Churrascos. You lost a FREQUENT CUSTOMER THAT NEVER SPENDS LESS THAN 200+ DOLLARS EACH VISIT.
Not as many food choices as I expected, considering the price. However, what every item I tried was very tasty.
Took an out-of-town family member for Brunch, which she thoroughly enjoyed! Excellent service and great food options as always. We love bringing family and Luther guests here, especially around 11 am(before it gets too crowded)
Wonderful dining experience...The food and the service were both impeccable! I had not been in years, so I had reservations about going. Everything was perfect and I will definitely visit again.
We came specifically for the wine dinner This was not an average dinner for us. Churrascos wine dinner always make the evening special for us. So does our waiter Isabel for any meal wee come for to Churrascos.
We love Churrascos !!!!! Will recommend anyone in Houston
Food was great, as usual, but service was very slow and restaurant was not full nor did it seem that busy...even on Fathers Day. Not sure if they were understaffed or just had poorly trained waiters. Bathrooms are outdated and smell bad. If you want to enjoy Churrascos choose one of the other locations. I had also put a note when reserving table that we were celebrating birthdays and this was never acknowledged.
It is always sad to see the demise of a once great restaurant, such is the case for Churrascos in River Oaks. Problems began when our ordered meal was inconsistent with the menu description. When we asked about why the difference, the waiter became a tad belligerent stating that what was ordered was delivered. This was clearly wrong. There was no offer to correct the problem or change the order. The next day we spoke with the managers and showed pictures of the disputed dish from their own webpage - they admitted that they really didn't know what the ordered meal should look like. Thus, the arrogance of the waiter coupled with the inexperience and inaction of the managers left us frustrated and annoyed. At the minimum, a PR opportunity was lost but more importantly, our comfort with the restaurant was shattered. This is not a good way to do business, especially in a town where excellent restaurants abound. It is highly unlikely that we will return.
While the Father's Day Brunch was not as good as the New Year's Brunch we have attended in the past, I would still recommend Churrascos. The tenderloin & prime rib were not replenished promptly and boiled shrimp was not available when we arrived. Also, we could not eat any of the prime rib because it was all rare even the end pieces. Even though most people like it somewhat rare, there are those of us who prefer it cooked a bit longer. The cost seemed a bit excessive compared to your usual Sunday brunches. Just suggestions you might want to take into consideration for the next special occasion brunch.
Churrasco's Sunday brunches are always wonderful. Their ceviche is amazing! And their alfajores are melt in your mouth light. Also my favorites -- the salmon, the grilled vegetables, the cold shrimp, the plantain chips with chimichurri sauce, and, of course, the chocolate delirio!!
Servers are very attentive!
