Our reservation was for 11am which is when they open. They were a bit frazzled and a little late but we were seated shortly after. Food was good—the scotch egg & banger sausage were my favourites because they reminded me of home. Had a Man U game on TV and music by various British artists playing which was awesome. Overall was good.
Excellent food and cocktails, incredibly friendly and attentive staff.
Very disappointing!! Food had no taste. British fare didn’t taste anything like it tasted in Britain.
The restaurant lost our reservation but they were able to seat us after a 10-15 minute wait. Everyone on the staff was very pleasant. The food was just so-so, but the truffle fries were terrific.
We got in at the end of Happy Hour and wanted our pints of Harp for $3.00 apiece. The crab cakes and shepherds pie were delicious! Our server had a great friendly personality and was the epitome of southern charm. Would definitely go back!
Sadly the food was bland in taste as well as presentation.
I got the steak and chips and it was supposed to be truffle fries, it was just fries. The steak was not worth the $32.00 that was charged. The steak was placed on top of the fries, so they were a lot of them, but most were soggy and not really appetizing. The drink I ordered was great, but small for the 10 dollar price tag.
The service was okay, when it was time to pay, she was there, but never came back. Never understand why when it's time to give the tip so many wait staff decide to disappear.
Great food and very friendly staff! Romantic environment.
It was very loud with the live band and my party was not able to hear one another. Our server also forgot about us and we didn’t order our food for at least 45 minutes after we got there by a different server. They forgot two of our appetizers and gave them to another table. We then waited for our food for another hour and my salmon was very dry and the sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts I ordered were unseasoned. It then took another 30 minutes for us to get checks and leave. Overall a very annoying experience and I will never go back.
Made a reservation, showed up a bit early and then the hostess forget we were there. Stood outside for 20+ minutes until she asked us if we were in line...so we reminded her we had a reservation for 20 minutes ago. She disappeared then ten minutes later showed us to a sticky table and gave us a single menu. Sat for another 20 minutes, ordered everything at once. Eventually our apps and soups showed up, our beers arrived five minutes after that. No spoon with my soup, had to go track down a server to get one myself. The food was fine, when we paid for it the server disappeared with the credit card for 15 minutes. Eventually we got to leave and that was great.
Made reservations for 1130 brunch. We arrived and were seated right away. Our server was very nice and semi attentive. The food was not very good. One person in our party got a burger and it was extra extra done. Also didn’t come with any of the toppings, even though he didn’t make a special order. Another person in our party got a chicken sandwich that was extra extra hard fried, also didn’t come with any of the toppings even though he didn’t make a special order either. Also ordered fries and got fried brussel sprouts. Another ordered fish and chips. Fish was so greasy that there was a puddle of grease when the fish was moved. Best part was that they have Truly on tap which is the drink of choice of the birthday girl.
Full pub menu, great prices, helpful staff and fast service. It's right on the main drag, very easy to walk to.
Poor service, had reservation and waited for an hour to get food. Food and drinks took a long time and then my husbands chicken was raw in the center
The food is terrible. Instant mashed. The fried chicken was one wing and it was so dry. Th Mac and cheese tasted like it had been in a steam table for 12 hours. And the chicken pot pie tasted like it came out of a can.
Well spaced out. Environment was relaxed. Service was grand. Food enjoyable.
Overall we were excited about going and heard about the amazing food. The food is definitely worth it however the service seemed to be lacking. When we were sat it took quite awhile before we even got menus. The waitress was very friendly and apologetic but she seemed swamped and no one would help out. I would go back but probably just for drinks.
The rooftop bar bartender was amazing. If food was served up there, would've stayed the whole time. He was friendly and the drinks were great. Went to sit at inside bar for dinner and waited about 10-15 minutes before that bartender even acknowledged us. Multiple wait staff were behind the bar, none even offered to grab us a menu or anything. Finally got a menu, another 10 minutes before we could order. Ordered filet medium rare, came out well done. Got kitchen to recook and still came out basically well done. Didn't feel like waiting for a 3rd time so we just paid and left. Definitely won't be stopping here again when in town.
Michael was a great waiter. Provided just the right amount of attention when waiting on us.
The food was fine. My sister had the fish sandwich and was not impressed. Just the fish and bread. No lettuce or tomato. Had to ask for tartar sauce. The meatloaf was very good. My other sister loved the bread pudding. I would eat here again when in Savannah.
Beautiful building and car but the food was less than mediocre.
Amazing experience! Food was fantastic and it made me feel like I was back in England! 👍🏽
We had a fantastic time at Churchill’s!
Disappointed ... I paid $10 for a gourmet salad with fruit, berries, candied nuts and feta. Honestly it was really a side salad ... I got one whole strawberry cut into 4 pieces , 3 blueberries, one ... one piece of feta and no nuts. Our waitress did apologize and when I told her we were locals she brought me feta and nuts ... but really - it’s a salad - how hard to make? I know Covid has limited profits ... but really! I could of gone to Wendy’s and got more food then what I got today! Everyone wants to support local, but if this is what they are offering- why?!
Food and service was great! Decor was very nice! Would recommend this restaurant!
The staff and food was very good. We enjoyed our Brunch. I would go again but they could work on the ambience a bit. But the food was very good.
I went to brunch for my birthday on the roof and it was so much fun! The roof was beautiful, the brunch was great and the bottomless mimosas were outstanding! So, I had to go back for Easter brunch of course.
My friend and I enjoyed the ambiance and size of the restaurant. Service was not good; our waiter was unfortunately he was not attentive. He did not appear to enjoy his job at all. The food was very good and t
perfect vibes to match the beautiful city it's in. handicap accessible and great live music.
Churchill’s was out of many items on the menu, including French fries and onion rings! It was a Thursday! Not a day after a busy weekend.
While our server was great, the kitchen was extremely slow with few diners in the restaurant. She-crab Soup was served to three in our our group and sent back because it was cold. One of our group sent it back again. The “chips” were tasteless.
As locals, we looked for a restaurant that took reservations and had good ratings. We won’t be back nor will we encourage our visitors to stop at Churchill’s.
Not great, not bad. Typical Pub atmosphere. Drinks served in small plastic cups and we were given plastic forks to eat with. Overall, an overpriced restaurant with above average food.
Drinks and service on roof top bar were great, but have your food somewhere else.
Our waiter was just not very good. They also ran out of pasta, and once we concluded our meal they never came and cleared our table so we were left to talk with both our appetizer AND main course plates on our table. Finally we stacked them ourselves and asked for them to be moved. The food was pretty good, but not sure I would go back again.
Had the Scotch Eggs for an appetizer and the Lentil and Vegetable Pie for dinner. My husband had Bangers and Mash for dinner. We’ve been to many British type restaurants over the years and enjoy the food! Wish the restaurant management had implemented “social distance” tables since there was no outdoor seating.
Everything was great! Our food was delicious and our server was so sweet and attentative.
We were overnighting in Savannah on a drive from South Florida to Massachusetts, got there late, and could find only two restaurants still serving. This was a good choice, and a fun experience; the food was fine, as well. We were about 50 years older than most of the crowd, and the loud music made conversation difficult -- but if we had had more time, we might have shared in the fun (we could hear a line dance going on in the next room). I had a tasty steak; my wife had the fried chicken, which was overcooked, so avoid that.
The hostess was not welcoming or attentive, completely overlooked my teen daughters to be seated. Then the live music was horrible, off key and extremely loud. Food was ok. Salmon dish and French Onion Soup was great but everything else was just ok.
We are originally from Britain so was looking forward to some real “home cooking”. The scotch egg was the best I’ve ever had and would recommend to anyone. The full English breakfast was close but not 100%. They use American bacon and not English bacon but apart from that it was great. We will definitely be back the next time I’m in town.
I had steak and ale pie, my mother the lamb chops. Both were excellent. Our waiter was attentive and we had very good service. I would recommend and we will eat there again on our next trip.
Our waiter "Shay" was personable, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive, our appetizers of Scotch eggs and the enorous pretzel began a meal of delicious food. Drinks were prepared with precision on the contents making them excellent We never miss dinner @ Churchill's when in Savannah.
Excellent restaurant and service for Sunday brunch!
Good Fish and Chips.
