The check on experience was disquieting in that we said we had a 3:45 reservation and their response was that they did not take reservations for balloon fiesta week. Nevertheless they found seating for us and the food and service experience was good.

Classic New Mexico cuisine. It's in a great part of old town.

Wonderful atmosphere. Our servers was wonderful when we got to see her, but stretched too thinly and was having to rush around. Food was disappointing, taquitos were way over cooked and taco salad was lackluster. Potatoes in potato salad were very hard.

We reserved for a Sunday am brunch. The mimosa’s are mixed with white wine. (Ewww). The bloody Mary’s were flavorless. It took forever to get our order taken, but they did refill coffee often. 1 hour and 15 minutes to get scrambled eggs, bacon and a tortilla and a breakfast burrito. AND THE PLACE WAS EMPTY. (Should have been our first hint). Stay away. Terrible!!!

You can’t judge this book by its cover. Doesn’t look like much from the outside size wise however it’s pretty big inside with 3 indoor rooms and an outdoor patio in back. Traditional old N M decor.
Where Church st shines is the food.
Excellent chicken enchiladas (red) with an egg on top.
Terrific place to eat especially if your at the ABQ OT Plaza.

Service ranges from Excellent to OK.

Wonderful lunch at Church Street Cafe

We had visited ABQ years ago, and had eaten a fry bread burger at Church Street. It was so good, that we remembered it and the restaurant.

We went again recently (July '19) and ordered the Pueblo Burger (comes with choice of sides - one of us got the french fries, the other the sweet potato fries - they were both great, and the portions of fries were huge!).

Service was great, cafe was as charming as ever. The Pueblo Burger is served on fry bread with Green Chile and cheese///////yum!!!!!

Food and service was great. Ate on the patio, which is lovely with a water feature. There was some work being done that caused the A/C unit for the building that was very near us to cycle on and off and on and off, but that probably couldn't be helped. I would definitely go back and hope the A/C unit was fixed - ha!

I need a walker and the whole of Old Town is not handicapped friendly. I found the walk from parking space to Cafe exhausting. Unfortunately I won't be able to go back. Our server, Ginger was excellent.

While visiting Old Town Albuquerque many people we met recommended the Church Street Cafe. We decided to grab breakfast at the cafe. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the service (Alphonso was our Waiter), and the atmosphere was perfect. Don’t be misled by the storefront, once inside there must be seat for at least 100 diners. This was our first time dining here and did not know of the back patio, outside dining area. If you visit during good weather, dine out on the rear patio. Either way inside or outside, I am sure you’ll have an excellent experience!

The food was delicious but the most enjoyable part was the patio. A gentleman was playing his guitar and the patio is beautiful.

We had reservation for 11:30 and arrived on time. No one was at the front desk to greet us for at least 5 minutes. Though there was a sign at the entrance to wait to be helped, people (without reservations) were grabbing tables on the front patio--where we had wanted to sit--none left. When the hostess finally came, she basically said there was nothing she could do about it if people didn't pay attention to the sign. We went to the back patio--through an almost vacant restaurant--to the back patio. That was the best part of the experience. However, there was a vine over the table and birds would sit above us and their droppings hit the table, along with leaves and other debri. The waiter forgot part of our order and we never got it, in spite of asking. No refill on iced tea, etc. It got fairly busy about15 mins after our arrival, but it was slow when we arrived. The food was probably the worst Mexican food I've had in years. My friend--who is easy to please--agreed. Except for the patio and how pretty and quaint it was, it was NOT a good experience.

Unfortunately we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes before we were given a table. Reservations were poorly managed along with those who did not have reservations. The food is great and we were given 10.00 off for our wait.

Early on Friday, I made a reservation for 2 at 6:45.tru Open Table. Arrived. They didn't have the reservation, had to show them on my phone. Continued to say they couldn't seat me, yet during the next hour 4 couples departed. Ended up being seated at 7:50. Service was abysmal. Food mediocre, overpriced. Cafe needs to up their game. I wont be back. Too bad, because I love to support local businesses.

In town for a week and had to go here twice. The place is much bigger and nicer inside than the front exterior would imply. Came her with a big group and we all loved everything.

We (my wife and I) kind of stumbled on to Church Street Cafe when we stayed one night in Albuquerque on our way back from Sedona to Boulder, CO. We'd tried to book with Antiquity, but it was sold out. So we just wandered around Old Town and came upon Church Street Cafe. It has a charming look to it inside and out. We enjoyed a "typical" Mexican meal: Enchiladas, Fajitas, Nachos, etc., and everything was quite good. We also had a couple Agave Margaritas - made with wine instead of tequila - and they were excellent! My wife finished with flan, which she liked a lot and I had the fried ice cream, which was okay. The only negative we experienced was being seated in the back room, which is attractive, but very cold. (It was a cold night and it's possible that the room just had not warmed up yet, though it was full of other diners.) The rooms closer to the front of the restaurant were equally attractive and much warmer, so I'd advise anyone considering dining here in the winter to ask to be seated in the warmer area.

Always a favorite, however this time, the wait, with our reservation was over 30 minutes. The front staff was having trouble managing their reservations and their walk-ins. Walk-ins were being seated; it seemed chaotic at best.
