Dinner was all that we expected and then some. My beets were out of this world.
The service was impeccable, Carrie was very attentive. I will be back, found a new favorite place!

Service and overall vibe were great! Food was over salted in numerous dishes and not hot but just warm. Would definitely give it another try as they are just starting out, but was not overly impressed.

Dined alone and received terrible service. I was sitting at my table for a little over 10 minutes before I even got water. That’s not an estimation. My table wasn’t ready when I arrived so I ended up waiting for a bit, and I glanced at the time as I was being seated.

I had had time to look at the menu while I was waiting, so when the server finally arrived, I placed my order. The glass of wine didn’t show up until I was mostly done with my first course.

The food was fine. I liked that they allow space on the bill to tip the kitchen. I gave my normal holiday tip because I know it’s unpleasant to work on a major holiday, but I won’t be back.

My wife and I shared our first Thanksgiving without our children. The food and drinks were incredible! I had the “Manhattan Project” drink and my wife had the “Flying High.” Both were delicious. The Flying High is a bit sweet, so stay away from it if that’s not your thing (I prefer drier drinks). We made sure to get different choices for each course so we could each try as much of the menu as possible. Everything we had was very tasty and the food portions were surprisingly generous. I left with a full stomach for sure! We will definitely be back soon to try the regular menu.

Not bad. If you are like me searching for a bar to haunt because they make great mixed drinks, this still isn't it. The food was good though, but I would stick to wine, beer, or neat liquor. Server forgot I existed.

I wish I could give ten stars for this place! Church and Union was absolutely amazing for our Thanksgiving Dinner plans. This time of year, our family has a little more than usual going on and adding a big dinner would have just added strain. Church and Union was an amazing solution. The food was awesome, the service was amazing, and the overall restaurant was top notch! Our server, Alexis (or Alexa, sorry for messing it up), was spot on and phenomenal. My 77 year old mother raves about the experience. Amazing all the way around.

Pretty restaurant, good food, only issue was the server getting our orders wrong and overcharging us by over $100 for drinks and food we didn't have. We had to send the check back twice to get it right. Too bad, it was a good place.

I was here with a colleague the week that they opened and was very impressed. The service was very attentive and the food was superb. With family coming in from California for the holiday, we planned the 1.5 hour drive to Nashville and of all our choices, I decided on Church and Union.

Unfortunately, this experience was just the opposite of the first. The service was slow and the staff spent more time talking to each other at the far end of the bar than they did serving the guests. There was also a general air of pretentiousness; we never felt welcome. The menu seemed much more limited than it was that first night, and everything was expensive for the portion size. The prices were more in line with the SF Bay Area than Nashville. The food only partially redeemed the overall experience, but was the best element of an overall disappointing experience.

We won't be back.

Food was good. The low stars are for poor service. Reserved for a business dinner for 5. The table was bad, not enough room, we ended up seating outside, and the service was slow, not the Nashville quality one is used to. The manager did not care to make up for the bad table or service.

The food was top quality and mostly worth the price. For a starter, we got the shrimp, which had 4 maybe 5 shrimp for almost $20. The sauce with the bread was yummy. They pork chop was cooked perfectly. Our server, Lindsay, was very knowledgeable and passionate about menu items, which helped make our dinner decisions easy. She suggested the banana pudding dessert that was delicious and a fun experience to eat. There was a hard white chocolate shell that had me giddy, feeling like I was cracking into a chocolate Easter bunny.

To be fair, we completely understand that it is still a new space, so we know that there will be some time needed to learn and grow. The Host and our Server (new and still learning the menu) were great.

Service: After ordering a bottle of Sparkling wine for the table and waiting 25 minutes (server had a few tables, but still a very slow night), we were told that our choice was not available. After choosing a different bottle, one of the managers (1 of 2 gentlemen wearing suit jackets) did not seem to know how to properly open a bottle of Sparkling Wine. 1) didn’t have a wine key to cut the foil and used his hands to peel off. 2) pulled off the cage and then threw it on the bar behind him. 3) visibly struggling to uncork the bottle (I was afraid for him because he was pointing it at his face). No one ever came back to refill our glasses, so we did it ourselves. When our meal came out, no one explained any of the dishes. We did order a steak and pork chop, but had to request a steak knife. Again, it was not busy at all, and there was a ton of staff on. Very easy to see bartenders standing and watching the dining room. Also very noticeable was the lack of attention from management, because one was on his phone or talking to the host, while the other did help clear some tables when he was talking to the bartenders. We also noticed a back server clearing tables by clawing dirty glasses (the same hand that used to drop off our food).

Ambiance: Space looked great. Definitely can appreciate the little details and art all around the space. But because of the little details that went in, it made the little things that were out of place very easy to notice. The emergency light wall was interesting, but wasn’t on. So it made no sense. There was a few light bulbs above the booths that were off. Also, my guest mentioned to me that while in the restroom, there was a dirty kitchen towel on the rail and a fork in the toilet paper roll. Bathroom checks didn’t seem like a norm.

Server was great. Food was just okay, and our order came out slightly wrong, but nothing that warranted sending it back. The space is very nice. They do a weird thing where they want you to tip the server and the kitchen staff and I wasn't clear on if they wanted me to split my tip for the server with the kitchen, or if they wanted me to tip an additional 20% to the kitchen, but that piece felt weird.

First and foremost - the service was outstanding! We had multiple servers and staff making sure that our every request was met. My husband and I had eaten at 5Church in Charleston, and this was a sister restaurant to that. Our food and service and experience at 5Church were PHENOMENAL.. so our comparison may have been our downfall.

Unfortunately, the food was less than subpar. We ordered the CU Poke Bowl however, it was EVERYWHERE on the dish. It was mixed in the tuna, carrots and sushi rice - making it a very strong, building heat... to the point of not being able to eat it. As for the Anolini, we were just disappointed all together. For a $29 pasta dish, I received 6-7 pieces of quarter size anoilni pasta.

Overall, the food tasted ok, what was meant to be hot, was; however, you could forego ordering these two dishes unless you have a small appetite and/or love of insanely spicy foods.
