    Great brunch! The restaurant was super busy for a Friday brunch which was great to see! Excellent service and food. The Caesar salad, crab cake, eggs Benedict were all so delicious! Also love the complimentary brunch bread! Definitely have to get a mimosa flight as well!

    Our server was amazing, he was patient and considerate. He made sure our food was right! My friend is going through chemo and he shared with her his regimen while he was going through chemo. He is a beautiful soul.

    Super busy. That was to be expected. The lights were low and romantic. Very jovial atmosphere for thanksgiving. The food was OUTSTANDING. Our waiters were engaging and had very polite conversations. NOT SMALL TALK. We all enjoyed it.

    We decided to come here for Thanksgiving dinner and we’re not disappointed! The decor and ambience were beautiful, maybe a tad loud if you’re sensitive to noise, but we had no trouble hearing each other across the table. We dined upstairs at a booth near the window and it was very cozy and romantic, we took many pictures!!! Now the food… OUT OF THIS WORLD!! As it was Thanksgiving, I was anticipating the food might be sitting under a heat lamp for a while but not a single course appeared to be made or plated ahead of time. Best brussel sprouts i’ve ever had. The service was also wonderful, we saw Marianna and her servers assistant and they were both amazing. This was a top tier experience and I will definitely be returning!

    We went before a show at Blumenthal and the staff was responsive to our time constraints plus they give a discount if you show your ticket. The choices were excellent for the Price fixe menu and the wait staff was knowledgeable about each dish. Overall the best part of our evening.

    Staff was nice, steaks (filet and strip) were overcooked and tough, Moscow mule was super heavy on the lime. Brussel sprouts were delicious! Very loud atmosphere, too dark to see the menu.

    Good was tasty but nothing spectacular. Ordered the tortelloni as an app and it was like 4 nickel sized pastas for $15. The lady who brought it to the table, literally prefaced putting it down by saying “I know it doesn’t really look like much but it’s full of flavor”. Now, my husband is a chef and we frequently enjoy tasting menus, and Michelin star restaurants. I have no qualms with paying $15 for an appetizer if it’s delicious. But this plate of food was certainly not worth its cost. And I think your team knows that when they have to preface, putting down the plate with saying that. Drinks were delicious. Service was good.

    Need a second bartender. The sole one did his best to keep up but it was impossible. The restaurant is too loud(“energetic”) as OpenTable likes to call it. Difficult to have a conversation. Food was excellent.

    It was our first time, bioked a table for our date night. First if all, thus place is way too loud for a restaurant . It sounds more like a cafeteria. Our table was not ready for another 10 minutes, no big deal. It was a busy night and our drinks too very long and then another wait to get our food order taken. The ladies room, only 1 out of 3 stalls were working so there was a long line there as well. Food was not too bad but by 6:30pm the kitchen was out of 4 entree items out of the 8 on the menu. Quite ridiculous. All in all , a so so experience for the price. Not going back.

    I had bday reservations for 11/11 @ 12 noon I arrived on time the host told me that no seating was available then 30 minutes later I received seating I was also told I would get a complimentary glass of champagne & slice of cake that I never received I was very shocked because I heard this was a nice place I won't be back

    We had a party of 11. Our seating was not ideal as it was multiple table placed in a horseshoe format. We couldn’t talk to people across from us. Wait staff however were awesome

    Excellent service. Colleen was able to accommodate our group size increasing from 8 to 14 with very little notice on the day of our dinner. Food was phenomenal. Our clients had an excellent time!

    We live locally and visit here quite a bit, normally to bring friends. C&U never disappoints! I love that they dare to keep the menu fresh; there’s always something new, imaginative and tasty to try. The service is always excellent. Our server Joey was attentive without hovering; a veritable Johnny-on-the-spot and Tina, the manager, always makes any occasion a memorable one just by remembering who we are. We’ll always come back to see what’s new because we know there will be!

    Celebrated 2 of our friends birthdays last night. Nikko was our waiter and he made excellent food recommendations. The handmade braided ravioli was incredible! We also enjoyed the NOLA shrimp, poke bowl, and Taco Rice. Each of them wonderful! We finished the evening with 2 desserts, the creme brûlée and carrot cake, my favorites didn’t disappoint! ! Don’t miss out on Church and Union!

    Their brunch is great, no idea what happens for dinner. Couldn’t cook steak the right temperature, fried chicken had great flavor but they dried it out. Some guest in our party had good cornbread, some burnt. Desserts weren’t good. Not the ideal experience for my husband’s birthday. After a bad night they still wanted us to pay a $25 cake cutting fee. You would think they would have done it for free considering all the missteps. Our waiter was very sweet, the manager did try to make it right, gave us a gift card. Safe to say we will not come back for dinner.

    Celebrated my mother‘s birthday with friends and family upstairs in a semi private area. The main level bought out for a private event. Our service was absolutely phenomenal. The food was marvelous. Definitely returning!

    💯Honest Review: I was there yesterday with a Friend and we were both looking forward to winning the $500 costume contest. As someone that absolutely loves this place and the staff, I must say yesterday was a let down. First, Our dinner and the staff were first class, however, the DJ was SUPER LATE and the place was really empty after the dinner crowd left. We hung around and even walked the block in anticipation that more people would come, but that was not the case. Some time after 11pm we had no choice but to leave and go to Southend where it was crazy crowded and fun. Hopefully this lack of preparation after dinner will change. I love the staff, food, and place, but I had to share this observation. 💯💯

    Had a 5:00pm Oct.27 reservation so atmosphere was quiet due to us being the only patrons. Restaurant was putting up finishing touches for Halloween decorations, nice and not overdone. Ibrahim our server really knocked it out of the park for us, as he offered helpful information about the food/drinks and restaurant history. We had a few drinks, the Ready Orgeat, Ghost, and a Moscow mule. Drinks were good, one liking or disliking the drinks depends on the person. For food we did the Prix Fixe menu. Beef Tartare, F***** O**** Agnolotti, mains Swordfish/Filet Mignon, and Creme Brulee/Flourless cake. Everything was tasty. Only nitpick was wishing the tartare had stronger flavors but that's personal preference. French Onion Agnolotti was delicious, great flavor burst. Swordfish not overcooked and flavorful, filet was good tho not amazing, and dessert was excellent. A final, odd observation but the bathrooms (clean and spacious) had some of the nicest paper towels I've ever seen. Like, seriously plush. I'd come back if I was in Charlotte again and I'd bring friends.
