    Not a big fan of being squeezed in at a table. Although the food was pretty good, the presentation of it was diner like. Had to wait for condiments like ketchup, salt and pepper etc while food got cold. Service needs to be worked on and they should pay closer attention to details. Overall just OK

    My fiancé’s filet was overcooked and tough when she had requested it to be cooked medium-rare. Otherwise, everything was great. The service and the drinks were amazing.

    Visiting Church and Union is an absolute must during a trip to Charleston. The atmosphere is captivating and full of intrigue, from the "Art of War" translated on the church ceiling to the stunning stained glass windows. Our visit for breakfast was nothing short of extraordinary, especially when we ordered the 'Holy Shi*t' breakfast – a true showstopper that resembled a breakfast charcuterie board. The combination of flavors and presentation was beyond impressive, making it a memorable culinary experience. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our time at Church and Union and highly recommend it for anyone looking to savor both delicious food and a unique ambiance.

    Taylor was our server and she was very kind. We enjoyed the hummus “bread” service. The food had great flavor. One of the popular meals were the 50 handmade ravioli - It was good but not what I was expecting. The shrimp appetizer was so good we ordered two of them. My daughter loved her salmon and the risotto it was prepared with. My husband had the crab cake but there is only one on the dish not two so it was more like an appetizer for him which the server did explain when we ordered it. Overall front the hostess/host Scott to our server Taylor, we were delighted with this Art of War themed restaurant. Very well stocked bar as well. Absolutely gorgeous inside and overall would definitely recommend as a must see/eat in Charleston!

    We were greeted upon entering and the staff made sure we got to our table at our reservation time. The ambiance is interesting although not as interesting as the hype would have you believe. Our appetizers, NOLA shrimp and beets and burrata were delicious as was the complimentary hummus. My husband got the lamb burger which was delicious. I had the ravioli which was ok, but not great given the price. Our guest had the crab cake and she said it was good-but not great. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves but found the experience to very overpriced for what you are getting including the service. Nothing really stood out as exceptional. We are glad we went but won’t likely return.

    My husband had the crabcake entrée and I had the 9 ounce filet mignon with smashed Yukon gold potatoes. The food was delicious and our server was great as well. Her name was Taylor. We highly recommend you make a reservation if you come here because they get extremely busy.

    Had the Thanksgiving dinner menu. Great choices other that turkey as well! We decided to go with the 9 oz. filet which was perfectly cooked and Miles, our waiter could not have been more attentive even though the place was screaming busy. If they can put out such a great meal on such a busy food holiday, I can only imagine how wonderful the food is when they are not rushing to feed tons of people on a very over the top food holiday. Will have to go back and check that out.

    Cafeteria quality food. Vegetables tasted of refrigerator, food cold and on thanksgiving no cranberry sauce available. Sat near kitchen entrance-so many disorientated servers rushing by it blew our candle out. Nyc subway station level noise, no offer of bread/cornbread barebones minimal meal. It checked a box “yes there was turkey”-2 pieces cold breast and a mash of dark meat. Stuffing was administered with a small scoop. I get it we are tourists and don’t matter enough to provide a decent holiday experience. It’s as if they are punishing us for being out on Thanksgiving. Avoid at all costs plenty of better options in beautiful Charleston!!!

    I wouldn’t recommend. The service is terrible and the food is mediocre and the drinks are not good. We were wondering the entire time if our server was high. The food was nothing to rave about. And the drinks tasted like glorified cough syrup. Walk a couple of blocks and go eat at Frannie & the Fox instead — the food/drinks were better there

    Thoroughly enjoyed being able to have the option of turkey and trimmings on Thanksgiving Day from the preset three course menu. Weatherized patio allowed us to enjoy dining outside. Excellent wait-staff/kitchen staff. Very positive experience!

    We're seated in side room with definite restroom stench. Very unappetizing. Salad came overdresses and wilted. Replacement salad with dressing on the side was good. Turkey was tough, portions of potatoes and gravy & dressing were small. Husband's steak was overcooked and side portions small. Deserts we're small and very average. Service, however was very good. Overall, not a good value for the $70.00 per person price tag.

    had a reservation - waited in small area with many people going in and out - uncomfortable. the greeters pay little or no attention to our reservation for 4 - at least 25 people before us. after 25 minutes we were seated. server was nice but food delivery was slow - food was ok but not up to par for the $ 400 bill. Of the 4 restaurants we went to over 4 days this was the worst by far.

    Food was just average. Service was a bit disconnected. They also have a “kitchen tip” separate from service charge. Which I found frankly offensive. Pay your staff and charge appropriately.

    The kitchen was out of the pork chops and the French onion agnoti…also the smoked trout roe salad that was on the side didn’t have any trout roe. The ribeye steak was average quality (it was cooked to proper temperature) at best….although the poke bowl and fried chicken were on point. Service was perfectly attentive and phenomenal….but the food quality and availability needs improvement for this experience to be rated a 5 star. I’ll be back to give y’all another shot. No worries…the drinks were great and we were offered a free dessert as an I’m sorry.

    We had a fantastic experience at Church and Union. We had brunch, and all choose to have the Southern breakfast. it was perfect, just enough food, and the potatoes were awesome!

    Love the vibe and the decor. The food was sub par. We sat at the bar and ordered a salad which had way too much dressing on it, mussels which were OK but swimming in a tomato soup like broth and the ravioli. The ravioli took forever and weren’t even cooked properly. Food was inedible. The drinks were average. Don’t waste your time choose another restaurant in Charleston there are so many better options

    This place was beautiful inside. Our waiter was very nice and informative. The food was very good. I got the crab cake and was very pleased it was not mostly breadcrumbs, it was mostly crab. My husband got the ribeye and thought it was very good.

    Brunch service on Sunday was basically a “let down”. For starters, our server just wasn’t with us. He was slow and inattentive. Our drinks sat empty most of the time only being filled when he was directly asked. The breakfast we wanted to order was sold out. My husband orders the skillet, I orders huevos rancheros. The server asserted the eggs on my plate could not be changed from scrambled to another style. Food was mediocre. As expected considering location, it’s grossly overpriced Restaurant is beautiful. This will be a one and done for us.

    Great facility with marvelous ceiling and windows. The restaurant has a very cool and trendy vibe. Dinner was awesome. We had the ravioli and salmon and both were excellent.

    Online reservation was easy to navigate and secure. The table was ready for our party when we arrived. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess and entertained by our server Rhett; we were especially impressed with his knowledge of the building's history and his funny little quips. The food was outstanding; all four guests in our party cleared their plates and ordered a delicious dessert. I can't recommend this venue enough!
