   The waiter gave us some back story on the church that was really awesome. How he explained the menu was not super helpful. We went with his recommendation of 60 South Salmon but the salmon was very over cooked and dry the rice was overly wet even for sticky rice. It overall had good flavor though. The prices seemed a little steep but as a date night experience it was expected. I’d recommended the experience because of the beautiful building but I don’t think we will return.

   Very cool and unique space. Food was great. Excellent service. You can't go wrong dining here and it's worth seeing the converted church. It is on the expensive side but your money is well spent.

   I came with my girlfriend last night to celebrate for my birthday dinner. The place was really nice considering how busy it was for a Friday night. We were seated outside which was no issue since there were heaters in full force. The food was outstanding for what it was worth, but my only issue was the noise. Especially coming from four women that were seated behind us. Otherwise, it was a good time!

   We have eaten here numerous times. Fried chicken was dry and small. Pasta was hard and dry. I would not recommend this restaurant anymore.

   We had a very happy birthday celebration. The waitress and staff were fantastic and made a special day feel even more special! The food and drinks were delicious and all 4 of us remarked at how wonderful everything tasted. We also appreciated the attention to detail in the timing of each course. Quite frankly, it was timed perfectly!!! A very lovely evening!!

    It was super nice. Even though we made a last min reservation. Our table ended up being on the outside patio, which I hadn't seen. Turns out there's a little private seating area. even though the inside is gorgeous this was a super nice date night.

    Our service was great & the appetizer & dessert’s were delicious but both our main course (Salmon & fried chicken) were sub par & very overpriced. Would recommend this place for drinks & appetizers & skip the main course

    The worst dining experience in Charleston this year. I haven’t been to the restaurant in a year and now I know why. The brunch yesterday was awful. For such a spectacular setting. it’s a shame that this is just your typical tourist rip off. I don’t know how it’s possible that a restaurant can screw up a hamburger and home fries. Better off going to a McDonald’s. Beware everyone.

    This was amazing, had a late flight and this had a kitchen open to 11. Fantastic service and food.. only here to Sunday and want to go back already. Found out the hand a location in Nashville can’t wait to go when I get back home..

    Our waitress was the best part- first night on her own- she did fabulous! Steak temp was not mr for one meal - food was very good otherwise - desserts did not appear to be made there maybe frozen. For four people dinner with tip was 500.00 a little more than expected, for what didn’t appear to be a high end fine dining restaurant.

    We’ve been here several times before and have always been impressed with the food. This time the food was a let down. Nothing really had any flavor, the scallops were very fishy and had a somewhat slimy texture. The azalea cocktail, which I always get and love, had a totally different flavor this time that was almost hairspray-like.

    Venison and salmon dishes needed seasoning . Too much sesame oil or peanut oil and it just tasted like the oil was burnt . Went 1/24/23 for anniversary and was dissatisfied with food. The chocolate mousse cake was yummy the best part . The waiter was nice and the women he was training was great. Food came out with great timing. The price was great for the courses just wished someone Flavored my food .

    The food is fantastic and the restaurant itself is very beautiful. It’s pretty loud with tables close together so definitely a more lively spot. We got the restaurant week menu which had great portion sizes and all tasted delicious.

    It is a really cool spot to visit however the food and service was just so so. Our server when asked what the difference between the mimosas were (Cadillac vs regular) as well as other questions seemed to just not care. Quick answers with one is freshly squeezed one is a bottle. I got Huevos Rancheros and it wasn’t anything to write home about. The sausage and gravy tasted more like Mac and cheese. It’s a one and done for me

    The service and ambiance were excellent. My wife's squash bisque was very good, and she enjoyed her salmon as well. My filet mignon was cooked right, and the meat was very good; however, the tomato based topping and whatever sauce was underneath were very meh. I would much rather have had the steak without those additions, which made my meal only so-so. Although my wife really liked her salmon, the bites I tried seemed very "earthy", which is not my fave. I would say the same for my pepper appetizer - very earthy (these peppers were part of her salmon dish, too - possibly the reason for similar tastes). It was okay, but I wouldn't get the peppers again. We sat in the lower-ceiling portion of the restaurant. It was nice, but you can't help wishing you were in the cathedral area the whole time you are sitting in the nice-but-normal section. It feels like you got stuck in the overflow and missed out on one of the major appeals of the restaurant. There is an extensive wine list, but we're not big wine drinkers. After dinner my wife said she heard other people order draft beer, but all that seemed to be on the menu were bottles and cans. Still, there were at least 10-12 beer options. My wife enjoyed her cocktail - if only I could remember the name of it... I would definitely go back and hopefully snag a seat in the cathedral section. I will be trying something different on the menu though - with the exception of the squash bisque, which is a great cool weather appetizer.

    We had a wonderful dining experience last night at Church & Union, with out-of-town guests. The staff was accommodating, our waiter was professional and so nice and the food and ambiance were unmatched. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

    Best scallops I have ever eaten! Highly recommend! They have a beautiful patio if you are looking for outdoor seating with heaters. The inside of the restaurant is a church and absolutely stunning. The Art of War is hand painted on the ceiling and the check is brought to you in a copy of the book. It was wonderful and highly recommend this place located next to the Maison Lobster and across from the Market with a parking lot within a couple of minutes walking distance.

    With an 11:00am reservation, we were one of the first tables to be sat at opening. Despite this, we did not receive our food until 12:25pm. When we did receive our entrees, the chicken blts were both dry, cold, and extremely over salted. The poke bowls were also very bland. The waitress explained that the kitchen was short staffed, but we saw several tables who were seated well after us receive the same entrees we’ll before us. Restaurant is beautiful but not worth it.

    This is a truly great environment for a restaurant. It is usually very crowded and loud. We had lunch here with a couple of friends during a recent visit to Charleston. The service was friendly and efficient, though our server seemed a little like slow to respond. The food was not what I had expected. One of our friends had a fried chicken sandwich and the chicken coating was very hard and difficult to bite into. I had a "Wedge Salad", which was not anything like described. First of all it was not a wedge at all; it was a rather sparse serving of chopped up Romaine lettuce, with hardly any dressing or blue cheese. When I questioned the salad, the waiter acted like a deer in the headlights and offered no explanation, etc. If this was the kitchen thinks is a wedge salad; someone needs a little education. On the bright side, I had one of the best bloody Marys I have ever had. So, drinks; great, food; not so great. But it is worth a stop at the bar for a good cocktail and a look at the ceiling. Probably won't come back, too many really good places in Charleston
