Chucherias Hondurenas

Great experience and expensive, but worth it.
From the moment we walked in for dinner with our daughters (8/12) we felt welcomed. We had read up on the menu and were already excited about trying the food. Everything we had far surpassed our expectations. The wine recommendation (wanted a red with the 2 adult fish entrees) was spot on. When we come back to town we will be back!
Excellent unique food and flavors. Definitely a fusion food experience of central and south American cuisine. A one of a kind gem. Fancy but not fussy. Service was excellent. I would go again certainly.
Chucherias is a favorite of ours and we visit about 5 times per year. Prices are a bit on high side but compatible with similar high-end restaurants. Service is excellent.
I live 20 minutes from this restaurant and I didn’t know that it existed. It is a beautiful small place with very warm decor. Gentle Spanish music played in the background. There is a small bar and bar service is adequate. The service (Kai) was outstanding! He knew the menu and could explain the specials. In general the food is imaginative and presented beautifully. My wife’s grouper was moist and seasoned well. My friend’s salmon was overcooked and a bit dry. My octopus was tender and delicious. The conch soup was a different story. I love conch, but this conch was tough and rubbery like undercooked tripe. My wife loved the black bean soup and our friend loved the bacalao croquettes. One dessert was shared and was excellent. The total for 4 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 dessert and 4 adult drinks was just shy of $200.
We will definitely go back and give it a second try. The owners deserve it for bringing such a beautiful and creative restaurant to our community!
Love the place. Service was outstanding and the food was delicious.
It was fantastic. The food had wonderful blends of flavors. Very well presented. So glad to have found it. Will return!!
Found this place through OpenTable as we were stuck over the weekend on a business trip. I was tired of the hotel bar food, wanted something a bit nicer. CH did not disappoint! The food was Outstanding and the service was over the top. The ambiance was quiet elegance. Could have been romantic had I not been with a work colleague.
We both had salmon dishes, each with different sauces. My biggest regret is that I didn’t try the house sauces, placed on the table, until I was nearly done. We had an Argentinian cab from Ruca Malen that was superb and very reasonably priced.
Great meal.
What an amazing restaurant. The food is delicious and the service impeccable. The Pastalitos are the best I’ve ever had and the roast pork melts like butter in your mouth. Just a wonderful dining experience!
We brought friends for their first visit and they were delighted with every thing. We plan on going back.
Great food and service. Very happy with experience.
Everything about our visit was beyond our expectations! Service was outstanding, the food was delicious and atmosphere was delightful! This restaurant is the best overall in this area! Would definitely recommend and absolutely will return! Thanks ❤️❤️❤️
This is our favorite restaurant! The food and service are always perfect. It’s a hidden little jewel that we use for every special occasion in our lives. We are always looking for the next opportunity and recommend it to all our special friends!
Outstanding ambiance as you are met at the door buy a matre'd with a warm greeting and smile. You are seated in a large but not noisy dining area. The décor is subtle and well appointed with Spanish art.
The menu is relatively simple and there were three specials of the house the night we visited. The waiter was well versed in the make up of the specials and offered recommendations to our party.
The food was Fantastic! Every dish was better than the next as we traded tastes around the table. One of our party had expressed a distaste for onions and the chef prepared a "signature menu dish" excluding them so that person could enjoy the entrée.
The flavors were very complementary and the seafood and chicken were very fresh and tender.
Prices were fair for the quality and ambience. Drinks, wine, and sangria were especially value priced (I appreciate a restaurant that doesn't try to make a killing on Adult Beverages).
The restaurant is a little off the beaten path but well worth the effort to find. We drove from Orlando to eat here and the drive was well worth it.
Very very good ! Extraordinarily!
We are from Germany and know Spanish restaurants - this was so good ! Had a wonderful evening and dinner experience!
I’ve never left a review but this place wowed my girlfriend and I from start to finish. Food, drinks, and service were all impeccable. Definitely worth a stop, even if you’re in the Daytona vicinity. I appreciate the requested dress code and child policy too! Also, the chocolate bread pudding is to die for, you won’t be disappointed.
We went for Volusia dining days and it was a really great deal. Each course was better than the last! The ambiance cannot be beat! We will definitely be back!
I found this neighborhood jewel while searching for someplace special for my wife's birthday.
Amazing ambiance, super service, decidedly delicious food ... everything was as expected!
When looking for a special restaurant, this is the one!
Enjoyed a wonderful ambiance , very good service , excellent food and wine.
Appreciate the fact that there is a dress code suggestion .
We focused on sea food both for starter and entree . Everything was very fresh
and prepared with exotic flavors .
5 stars for the Chef we see you soon again.
Thank you.
I keep expecting to be disappointed because, after all, this IS Holly Hill. But as usual, everything was superb. It's a little pricey, but worth it. And I really appreciate the fact that the noise level is not bad. I really hate restaurants where you can't here you dinner partner's conversation without yelling. Also, after the first visit, the Maitre D always recognizes us and greets us like old friends, even though we only go every couple of months. And he has always had an excellent wine recommendation within our stated price range without trying to upsell. Oh, did I say the food was excellent too? And very unique.
Daytona Beach felt like a wasteland. Every restaurant was a tourist trap, over priced and pretty poor quality, until I found Chucherias Hondurenas!! I was speechless a year ago when we stumbled upon this hard to find but worth every minute eatery. The waitstaff are unbelievably attentive, handsome and friendly, genuine and proud of their restaurant. The chef brings her all to the table with authentic dishes, fresh ingredients and wonderful ambience. Got the chance to visit again this year and again no disappoint here. Same staff, same amazing product. Don't miss their pupusas stuffed with corn and cheese, pair it with the octopus salad, tender and beyond tasty. Main course, fish of the day was perfect along with a chocolate bread pudding topped with peanut butter ice cream, to die for. I hope this little restaurant continues the tradition of genuine deliciousness, Cant wait for my next trip to Daytona Beach!
Wonderful dinner! Staff, food and ambiance just awesome!!! Recommend highly!!!
Excellent food. Service was great and atmosphere was amazing!
A wonderful place to eat. Sergio and Tyler were amazing and took a personal interest in making sure our meal was enjoyable. A little on the pricier side, but in this case you absolutely get what you pay for. Well worth it!
A local surprise! Beautiful surroundings, excellent service, delicious food. The restaurant got busy but the noise level was very low. We will be back!
Consistently excellent. Cozy and charming, we always take our guest there for a unique experience. The roast pork is outstanding!
Took my mother, who loves food and wine, for a special night out. It was the perfect place! Friendly, accommodating, unique menu, and all done very well. Nice wine and full bar. Highly recommend!
Location and food are fantastic! Sergio and team were very accommodating with our 8:45 reservation - they close at 9. The space is also beautiful with conventionally framed trusses and a large coquina fireplace. Highly recommend.
The food was fine but not exceptional in any way, therefore not worth the cost.
Our evening was perfect. My husband, myself, and our young son all loved the service, meals, and ambience. We can not wait to return!
Our friends recommended we go here and we are so happy we did! We loved everything about our experience. The ambiance is tasteful and intimate and you couldn’t find better service in any other 5 star restaurant. The food is absolutely divine. There were 5 of us dining and each and every dish was not only delicious but beautifully presented. It is our new favorite restaurant. We look forward to our next visit.
Great food! Pricey, but worth it. Small dining area which is nice.
Beautiful restaurant with authentic and flavorol food options. The drinks are unique and tasty and the wine options are nice. Service is impeccable. Great place for a date night or special occasion!
Amazing food in an intimate setting.
Excellent food and service! Conch soup was incredible. Will return!
The Chef is above board and the flavors were amazing. A beautiful hidden spot that should be a must for foodies that can appreciate fine dining!
Very nice place. Great service and excellent food.
The food was Sensational, the best since Emeril’s in New Orleans. Atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. Meeting Chef Mayra was the topping to our 45th Anniversary dinner.
Just wonderful food! The Sangria Roja was one of the best I had. The interior is charming and the service was spot on. Great find for our quick trip. You should try this place!
Being from Miami I am always looking for a good Spanish style restaurant. This is not it. The first dish I ordered , roast pork was inedible. I turned it back and tried a different dish, steak with onions, I forced some of it down but could not finish. Service was great, but not good enough for us to go back.
