Chrysler Club – Scotiabank Saddledome
We made a reservation for a group of 6 during the Stampede for the Chrysler Club. Although they were lined up out the door, the manager and staff seated us when we let them know we had a reservation. They are well-experienced with handling large crowds. The buffet was great! Lineups were a minimal. 3 salads to start, baked beans, pulled pork, smoked brisket and fried chicken for mains. You could choose to have your pulled pork in a bun with slaw or brisket in a bun with bbq sauce. I choose to skip the bun and thoroughly enjoyed the meat selections (a tiny bit dry but still good). Pulled pork was saucy and delicious, brisket could’ve had more smoke flavor but was nice, and the fried chicken had a nice honey chili kick to it. Not too spicy. Service was fast and friendly and we especially enjoyed the opportunity to cool down on a hot day at the Stampede. $17.95 per person with a $2 dessert option. We shared the Mayan spiced chocolate cake and it was more than enough for two people. Dry but tasty with the sweet ganache balanced by a but if a kick. Overall, this was a great deal and definitely will continue to be a family tradition during the Stampede and events.
This is the best place to eat during the Stampede. The food was good and the value for the price was excellent. You can’t eat anywhere on the grounds and get fed as well for the money. The brisket was excellent as was the choice of salads.
Great food for the value. Service was good but staff were around a little too sporadically.
Best place at the Stampede to get a sit down dinner. Good value.
Food was ok. Service was ok. Nothing special. Overpriced for the overall value
Quick and convenient, with a great buffet with good food. Service was outstanding as our server held our table the entire game and had drinks waiting for us between periods.
This was my first time eating at the Chrysler Club with my 12 year old son. He loved the food selection. Our server was slow with addressing our table, we got our food, started eating and after 5 minutes I had to ask for drinks because nobody came to our table. And 15 minutes later, I receive a phone call from the guest services/host station as they were asking where I was. :) They thought we never showed up for our reservation. :) All good....overall, excellent food and nice serving staff, just left the impression of being a bit disorganized. We'd definitely return if given the opportunity.
Afternoon hockey game. Had Club seats which is the only way you can get a reservation in the Chrysler Club...Buffet was delicious and well prepared. Wait staff was really friendly, but not particularly attentive. I would have left a bigger tip, but the service didn't warrant it. When she was attentive, the service was terrific.....
I will go again.....where else can you go in the saddledome....?! If such a big deal is made to eat at this 'exclusive' club, the service should be top notch.
Terrific service by our server... she explained that we were welcome back in between periods (with a CC of course) and it was fantastic!
One exception to the experience was the waitress was most of the time too busy to assist in
the drink replaces. Would have more to drink had there been someone to ask.
Great place to go before Flames, Hitmen and concerts. Food was excellent and the server was absolutely great.
Excellent buffet! So much to choose from. All very delicious! Great place to go before a Flames game!!!
Decent meal foe the Price. Service was a little slow considering the number of people present. We have attended other events there that were alot busier with better service
Buffet before hitmen hockey was a thanksgiving turkey dinner and was well done. Only thing I would have liked was a salad of some kind. Food was good, service a bit slow and the plastic glassware was tacky. Price was low enough that most can afford.
Thanksgiving Day (2:30 pm) dinner at the Saddledome, the setup was a little "interesting" as they only had 1 long lineup for buffet. However, our actual server was wonderfully attentive and there every time we needed her. The meal was good with less options than usual, but also cheaper than the usual Calgary Hitmen buffet.
The entry was late. Only one line. There could have been a little more food variety such as a cole slaw and buns.
