Food was not hot. Server brought wrong salad.
Always great food!
Always excellent food and drinks! Prices reasonable
Hadn't been there in over 25 years (moved away and returned to North Central Phoenix), tried it again and found it renovated, a little different looking, but service and food was just a we remembered.
The food was excellent.moderately priced and the service was great.
We went to christo’s During restaurant week. We read reviews from previous diners and I have to say it lived up to the billing. They had a number of great choices and the food and service was outstanding. It was about a 40 minute drive from where we live, but well worth the drive. We will be back.
Food and server were great as always. "Service" was below par. Food was slower coming out and numerous mistakes were made with the food that was delivered.
We have been patrons for 20 years and have never been disappointed in the food or service. All of the people we have brought feel the same.
Never disappointed at Christos. Great food and drinks.
Great food and service !
Christo's has been my reliable go-to restaurant for over 25 years. I've taken people of all ages there for both lunch and dinner and have had raves from all about the wonderful food, service (many of the serving staff have been there for many years and they are real pros at it!) and general vibe of the place. This visit was during Restaurant Week and the place was at full capacity (and full efficiency) and my guests enjoyed the whole experience....as I always do!
Delicious lobster ravioli with squid ink sauce. Tasty veal and shrimp appetizer. Creamy chocolate mousse dessert. Attentive and helpful service. Recommended.
Good food and service. Very reliable Italian Restaurant. I do like Christo's. Nice for a business dinner or a "nicer," dining experience.
Delish!! Every time I come I order the same because it satisfies all my taste buds
Restaurant week menu is FAB and always something to look forward to.
It had been years since we had been here and we enjoyed the evening . The only bad thing and most days it wouldn’t have been an issue but it had rained and the back parking lot was flooded to the point we all got our feet and the bottoms of our slacks wet. We were dining
as part of restaurant week and the options were well thought out.
We were seated in a room with a table which had two toddlers and two babies. Way too noisy for our taste as the toddlers were clearly tired and should not have been out in public that late. Not Christo's fault, but it spoiled our quiet night out briefly.
Food was superb as always. However, the server was a bit brusque and hurried us. We also were served what we thought was a complimentary cup of soup (it was a birthday celebration, so we thought it might have been for that or an amuse from the chef). The server made a special point of telling us we received a 'bonus' soup and she chided the busser in front of us for inadvertently serving it to us. She returned a second time and again referred to the 'bonus' cup of soup. When she brought our check, I started to respond to her birthday wishes when she abruptly turned her back on us and walk away as I was speaking to her. Shameful. We will not sit in her section again. Deplorable behavior and very rude.
Very nice place. Service was excellent.
Christo’s never fails to deliver. The food was delicious and our waiter was a lovely man. I ordered a special, Dover Sole, which was good, but I really missed having a traditional on the menu dish Christo style. My mistake! My husband loved his linguine with white clam sauce and our friend enjoyed her veal cannelloni. The best thing however was the lemon vegetable soup. Who would’ve thought?
This is our fourth visit to this restaurant. We are very impressed. The food is delicious the ambience reminds me of a intimate New York City restaurant definitely has a East Coast feel to it.
We went during AZ Restaurant week. Limited choices but absolutely delicious. 2nd time visiting this restaurant and both times the food was outstanding.
The best Dover Sole and my friend who had the salmon said it was the best she ever had!!!
Wonderful evening. We were celebrating my wife's birthday. Everything was perfect! The food was delicious, the staff friendly and efficient and the atmosphere first rate
Haven't been for quite some time and it didn't disappoint! Looking forward to going back soon.
Had veal picatta, husband had rack of lamb. Both very good. Served with bean barley soup, salad, and vegetables. Received comp tiramisu for husband's birthday, delicious. Fairly quiet ambiance with mostly older crowd. Service is outstanding.
food was very good presented well and service was great.
Prices are starting to go up, especially on the specials. Still very good overall.
Only complaint I have us that the waiter was irritated that my husband and I sat on the same side of the table. It was our date night. We were celebrating being empty nesters and a job promotion.
The waiter purposely hand each and every item including the bill in-between us. It was down right rude and totally not necessary. We come here often so I didn't expect this kind of treatment.
We love Mehgan and Santino. Wish they had the meatballs. Very family friendly as we have 2 1 year olds and 4, 9 and 11.
Barley soup and salad was great. Main course of chicken and veal parm was good except sauce was a little thin
First off - the food is amazing. We had 3 different appetizers- shrimp cocktail, scallops, and mozzarella. Scallops were a little under cooked but, still good. The salad was a little plain and over dressed. The chicken vegetable noodle soup was pretty good. I had the veal parmigiana and my wife had the halibut. Both were excellent. The portions were bigger than I anticipated.
I’m giving 4 stars because of the service. I specified a quiet table on my reservation. This was not accommodated. I was told that was all they had for seating- right next to the table bussing entrance to the kitchen. There appeared to be quieter seating so not sure what happened there. We didn’t want anything from the wine list and without another word about a drink order, our server took off. This was a common occurrence throughout our meal. We waited quite a while before our server reappeared. We finally ordered our drinks. My wife’s Long Island ice tea was so strong I had to take it back to the bar where I waited 10 minutes to have another drink made. The 2nd drink we ordered from the table was supposed to be an Amaretto Sour. Server was very distracted and didn’t seem to listen very well. Thus a Whiskey Sour was brought instead. We kinda gave up at that point and just chalked it up to our decision to make a 7 pm dinner rush reservation instead of a little later. The atmosphere is very nice but, loud. Once a few tables cleared out around 8:30 the volume level was what I had hoped for from the beginning. Overall a good meal.
Little bummed because I had heard such great things about this place. I guess my expectations were unrealistic. We will go back, just not during a Friday night dinner rush.
Great Italian food, especially their halibut!
Old school place, comfortable. Older crowd.
Delicious and authentic. Very reasonable as well!
We love Christo's have been there many times and always have a very delicious meal and we especially love the lemon rice soup. Our waitress this time was Megan, she was delightful and we hope to ask for her in the future.
Our dinner was delicious. All items were prepared as requested and our server was excellent.
This is one of our favorites and never disappoints.
We enjoyed our Happy hour drinks and dinner in the lounge. we were treated very good.
Our go to restaurant. The best veal and the oso buco is always good.
I started patronizing Christos, right after it opened back in the mid eighties, when I would treat clients to lunch and sometimes dinner. Now that I'm retired my wife and I continue to dine at Christos as our most favorite restaurant. Hooray for management that keeps the same wonderful unchanged menu in same quality the restaurant introduced back then. We are especially gratified to see many of the same staff members who were there at the start still giving excellent service. Kudos, also to their tasteful expansion over the years (alone, an testament to their "World Series" quality of operations.
Everything about our evening was great. We took our son for his birthday celebration. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. I had the rack of lamb which was seasoned to perfection. I also enjoyed the flourless chocolate cake. It was amazing. The staff was great- very friendly and on top of things. I will definitely be back. This would be great for family dining or a special night out.
