I am a huge foodie and I loved my chosen meal. The servers were lovely and patient. One gentleman explain an item on the menu and even gave me his recommendation, which I am very happy I took. I am only gutted I did not take note of that mans name. I will most certainly be going to Christophers again.
AMAZING !
Mediocre food at high price points, £24 odd pounds for lobster Mac and cheese, that was pretty tasteless. Not much ambience in the restaurant. Just pretty subpar, there’s plenty of other nicer restaurants in that area.
Good cocktails and the french toast is really good.
Having visited many times I wanted to impress my guests and husband for brunch. They all thoroughly enjoyed the food, the venue and the company. One cannot ask for more. We shall return.
Was not received with a warm welcome on arrival, In fact this made us feel uncomfortable luckily the service from the waiters made up for it but the front of house let Christopher’s down. We were running late and called however nobody answered.. once arriving the lady wanted me to prove I had a booking as she couldn’t see it but I’ve been to many restaurants that have never had this issue. It seemed as if she didn’t want us there luckily I had a proof of booking. Thé brioche toast was amazing, I highly recommend and also had a special birthday sparkler which was nice. I’d only recommend for food but not for service
We only came for breakfast but the french toast was outstanding. We will definitely be back
I’m afraid that I don’t have anything positive to say, the staff were friendly.
Service was very slow. Drink ordered were duplicated twice.
Starters were over priced for the quality and size of portion.
Mains were over priced for quality. Especially when you had to also order all sides. Nothing came with the main. I had the lobster Mac with a woefully small amount of lobster and a nasty artificial flavoured cheese sauce.
For 3 people, 2 courses, 2 cocktails and 2 cokes.....a £172! I wish we’d booked Sexy Fish or Scott’s instead.
A huge disappointment
Thank you for the lovely birthday surprise for my husband and the food was phenomenal
Anything but a warm welcome from staff on arrival
Amazing 3 courses , amazing choice of cocktails and the french toast pudding was the best thing I have ever eaten!
Its a lovely place to have brunch at with the girls.
Everything was really good. Some of the waiters seemed a little busy but very lovely service overall. Food was fantastic and the raspberry and apple martinis were fabulous. My only snag were the truffle fries. They were soggy like McDonald’s fries with questionable cheese and just one shaving of truffle. All the other food was really really good but just don’t order the fries.
The food and service from the waiters was excellent. The Chocolate French Toast was delicious and was definitely enough for two!
The only downside was the lady at reception downstairs wasn’t overly friendly.
Before we even got there, I had to call to let them know we were going to be late and they were very friendly and understanding and upon arriving, they made us feel welcome and the waiters were really friendly and accommodated to our needs perfectly
Amazing! Staff are accommodating and pleasant! Even sent a dish back and they were graceful and removed it from the bill without complaint.
The sea bass, crab cakes, virgin rose mock tail and french toast were divine! Will be visiting again!
This is a lovely restaurant up a flight of stairs in a beautiful room. The food was exceptionally good and the staff were lovely. Only gripe is that the wine list is very expensive. Cheapest bottle is £35.00
The service was outstanding as was the food. However, unfortunately once our food arrived there were lots of little flies that keep hovering around our table. I’ve come to Christopher’s many times before and have never had this issue but it seems there may be a fly problem which can be off putting and not ideal to be swatting flies constantly throughout your meal. Also it seems that the attention to detail has declined slightly, I would have expected the table covers to at least be ironed however there were many creases in the table cloth. Overall the food is worth coming back for but improvements could be made.
Had the chocolate brioche french toast which I've tried once before. Food was excellent, however service was not that great (it was busy but no one came to get our order/for us to pay at the end for a while). Did not enjoy paying service charge as this meant the price of one meal was higher than it should have been, without good service.
Food is as good as ever, perhaps a bit more adventurous than they used to be. But expensive without the option of the set menu. Definitely moved up market and we won’t be able to afford coming here pre-theatre like we used to when the theatre returns, unless they bring back the set menu. Wines overpriced. Service excellent - friendly without being overbearing. Great atmosphere.
We had a lovely night at Christopher's. The food is really delicious and beautifully presented as well. The drinks were great too - excellent cocktail. Great service and ambiance.
Definitely expensive, more of an occasion restaurant.
I’ve been here 4 times and every time the service is amazing. I accidentally ordered the wrong thing and they quickly amended my order, love this place!!
Amazing French Toast and great service all for a very reasonable price and the location is amazing
Nice evening and would definitely return. Lovely martinis
Yes yesss yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssdddddd
The food was lovely as always. Chicken, fish and sides were all tasty and fresh. Great ambiance as well. 10/10 overall
Restaurant was lacking in atmosphere. Felt old and tired. Service was ok. Food was brought out very quickly and before our drinks. Felt like it was already made sitting there waiting for someone to order it. French toast was nice.
Considering prices are up there equal to the ivy etc it was a disappointment when we received the billl. I would not return.
Incredible food as always. I love their Huevos California and of course, the chocolate French toast! Service brilliant from start to end.
The food was ok, priced well and good service would come back again.
Very good service from the lovely lady at the bar downstairs on a Friday night
The wagyu beef burger (halal!) was perfect, cooked so well and exactly how I wanted it. A shame there wasn’t more halal meat/ chicken options. Enjoyed the sweet potato fries and I can see why everyone raves on about the French toast - was absolutely gorgeous! Soft brioche toast, dusted with cinnamon, topped with vanilla ice cream and draped in milk chocolate - between 3 of us for dessert this was more than enough and satisfying after our burger mains. I’m definitely going back again and would like to try the brunch French toast!
The food was tasteless, the waiters and waitress was rude as hell. And took forever to get their attention. Everything was poor except for the venue. Wouldn’t recommend
This is one of my favourite restaurants for brunch! The food, ambience and service are always great!! 100% recommend
Polite, attentive servers. Food to our taste.
French toast was amazing! The mains were just okay.
I was very disappointed with the way this restaurant has gone down, l used to be a regular at this restaurant and the caliber of people going in was different. The smart dressing requirement for fine dining from before has been replaced with people wearing hoodies, trainers and tacky apparel,it’s ridiculous,l thought l walked into a brassiere or steakhouse to be honest .Steak and turf ,halibut ,Pork are no longer on the menu, people just walk in to order dessert and leave, how disrespectful,l hope and pray that during lockdown they will rebrand and revamp this once beautiful ,classy restaurant , l want to go back one day and feel happy again for now l won’t be going back anytime soon. I know Covid came and destroyed a lot of business, hopefully after the pandemic they will sit down and get back to where they were before as this restaurant is on a perfect location .
Very relaxing and wonderful service. Food was exceptional.
Food was great, drinks were tasty. Must get the french toast dessert
Very nice food good service good location not too busy
Great brunch, as always. The portions are very generous and the service is great.
