Really enjoyed my pre theatre dinner at Christopher's. Food was absolutely fabulous for the price and the wine our server chose to pair alongside went down treat we found it was pricey vs the the food. Would definitely return.
Food was delicious even if not all requests were followed correctly but they fixed what they could
They were great with kids too
The food was lovely as well as the service was. The only thing that I would advise is that the bread and butter that they offer is chargeable (I was under the impression it was complimentary) and also when they ask if you would like the water, ask them for tap water which is free otherwise you will get bottled water which was chargeable again which i wasnt aware off.
We have visited Christopher's on several occasions and I can honestly say the experience never disappoints. The environment is lovely, the staff are really attentive, helpful and professional (but certainly not overbearing) and the food and drink outstanding.
We started in the bar and enjoyed banter with the bar staff who made gorgeous cocktails for us.
Our table was round - excellent for a group of 6 to maintain communication across the whole party. It was a birthday celebration - and I was treated to a sparkler in the dessert - a good picture opportunity!
We have met Francis through our friend Kathy and were delighted to see him on this visit and to chat with him. What a talented gentleman.
We have previously enjoyed the excellent brunch menu too.
We will return. Many thanks for making my celebrations very special.
I’ve dined at Christopher’s before and have always loved their food and service. This time I was rather disappointed. The service was very slow, I understand it was a very busy period however people seated after us received their orders before us. Also, the latte I asked for was very Luke warm, I prefer my drinks hot so I asked for another drink. The drink eventually arrived AFTER I had finished my brunch, and it was still luke warm but I didn’t want to create a scene by requesting it a third time.
Great brunch!! Always my go to spot in Central London.
The french toast with chocolate is incredible and the staff are friendly!
We were there to celebrate my daughters birthday . My daughter’s train was running late but the staff were very accommodating and we were not rushed at all which took the pressure of all of us!
The food and service were both excellent and the pancakes / chocolate French toast on the weekend brunch menu were both simply divine !
The staff sang Happy Birthday to my daughter which made her morning even more special !
I will definitely be going back for your weekend breakfast and for your warm welcome and service 😊
I went back to Christophers for the lobster..which is delicious. Not bad price either considering location. Mac n cheese delicious too. I had salad with mine. Brownie was divine but I wish I'd have shared as it was very big in my opinion. I had to ask for a coffee & I had to ask for the bill as no one came to the table for a while....
On a Wednesday evening the restaurant was pretty empty.
Cramped tables food service not great.
I’ve been many years before it rose to Instagram fame and deeply disappointed this time round. Tables squashed together food below average Cutlery awful.
Enjoyed the brunch and would definitely go back again, lovely food and great service
Initial welcome was disappointing “just go upstairs” and being seated seemed an effort but once sat down food and service were both pretty good.
Only issue was the time it took for our main which the waitress did spot and chased the order but didn’t mention to us until we questioned the delay.
Food was all really nice.
Moved downstairs to the bar after dinner for a vesper and espresso martini which were both excellent.
Would give this place another go and is good value for pre theatre.
The service was fantastic, the food was incredible as always and the atmosphere was brilliant. I recommend Christopher’s to anyone and everyone!
The food was amazing and the staff were very nice. Definitely going to visit again.
Thank you for the birthday surprise with the candle!
Food is amazing but service is not great which is such a shame
Love Brunch at Christopher's. Great food and service. Highly Recommend
Lovely Birthday treat at Christopher's. We ordered the Chocolate Brioche French toast for brunch. Service was impeccable with a lovely atmosphere. The coffee was also very smooth. I am very picky with my coffee! They took our name downstairs and once we arrived at the restaurant upstairs the staff knew exactly who we were. The cloak room service was also a nice touch.
I used to love Christopher's, but there are much better places in London with better service. It used to be excellent in all categories, but due to the levels of poor service and attitude received from staff, we will not be returning.
Food was lovely and the service was good. Tables feel a bit rammed together but aside from that all good.
Nice setting. Waiters and waitresses didn’t want to be there and the service suffered because of it. Unfortunately not the most pleasant way to start the new year.
Food was delicious! Lovely restaurant setting and staff was helpful highly recommended
We had a great time. I was happy to have eaten there.
I have been to Christopher’s a few times but it seems to have become very pricey. The food was delicious and the service excellent. One thing that annoyed us, and we did point it out to the manager, was the £3.00 per head cover charge what was this for? We didn’t have anything additional like bread, and the 12.5% service charge they put on the bill, which I am afraid is my pet hate. I want to decide if I want to give a tip I don’t want it automatically added for me then to ask for it to be taken off as a point of principle.
Food & service were really good, only disappointment was that it was only a weekend brunch menu available when we had been expecting a full lunch menu (it was Tuesday 31st December). I think this should have been made clear when we booked. Other than that, very good & I appreciated the kitchen rustling me up a much anticipated peach melba, even though it wasn’t on brunch menu. Delicious blackened salmon & the shrimp & eggs were perfect. Will be back for dinner in the new year.
Service was slow 45 minutesfrom ordering to food arriving. The medium burger ordered by my wife was raw inside. When the waiter was made aware of this no action was taken.
2 main courses and 2 soft drinks and coffee came to almost £70 so was not really value for money either.
Ambiance was fine but we will not be going there again.
Although it is a while since we have eaten at Christopher's it was every bit as good as we remembered. Thank you for an excellent pre-theatre meal
A very disappointing visit. The asparagus used in our starters was not fresh and the ends had turned yellow. We had to wait 40 minutes for our main course. We chased this twice and were told that there were a number of big tables (not our problem!). When the main course finally arrived it was barely warm (clearly having been left on one side while the big tables were served). The course returned having been simply re-heated. The charge for our wine was removed from the bill but they tried to still charge us 12.5% service - which they removed once we refused to pay it.
We have been to this restaurant many times in the past but this is the worse experience and we will seriously consider whether or not to return.
This was an awful experience . The food was terrible and overpriced . The service was appalling. I had to ask 5 times for a glass of tap water .The receptionist downstairs was extremely miserable and quite rude . This was supposed to be a nice lunch for my daughters burthdsy , it was completely ruined by poor service and poor overpriced food . We felt completely disappointed . I won’t be recommending this place to anyone . In fact will be advising people not to go there .
Overrated. Tables seated after got served first. Felt quite ignored
It’s a beautiful venue. Good food, however the staff are really miserable and unfriendly. Just makes you feel not welcome to be honest.
