Very Expensive and only average very good location but will not return
We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday at Christopher's. We had a 6:15 p.m. reservation. We arrived at 6:05 and our table was ready. The decor was tasteful and the restrooms were impeccable. We ordered our food and received it in under 15 minutes--one entree was a steak. They even presented my husband with a complimentary dessert! Everything was expertly seasoned, prepared and presented. We highly recommend Christopher's and plan to return.
Amazing restaurant with beautiful food and cocktails. We visited most recently for brunch and as usual had the nicest time. Yes there is the usual time allowance and our table was slightly delayed, aside from that everything was absolutely perfect and I will continue to comes back and recommend to anyone wanting the most incredible french toast and cocktails !
As always Christopher’s was a great experience from the doorman and the reception to the waiting staff. The food was exceptional as always. The atmosphere is understated elegance. Have celebrated a lot of family events at Christopher’s and will continue as long as the level of service stays so high.
Great menu but poor execution. Food was well presented but too much going on in terms of flavours. Tuna tartare was below average. Dessert was at a price I’d expect more refinement almost appeared to have been bought elsewhere & defrosted after goodness know la how many days.
The meal was perfect, we upgraded to steak from the pre-theatre menu.
The staff were very attentive and smiled throughouot, we were made to feel important to them as customers.
I live in Scotland but come to London more than once a year and always visit Christopher's. I introduced my friend, who is a company director, on this occasion and she was very impressed. She in turn has recommended Christopher's to other people.
Service was the worst service I have ever received.
My order was repeated back to me at the time of ordering but when it arrived it was wrong and it was questioned what I actually ordered.
Then when eating my main I was asked what I wanted for my desert (I wansnt given a menu or told what was available) because the kitchen was closing.
I said I didn’t know because I was still eating my main course. Once I had finished my main i wasn’t given the option of having a desert.
Wonderful place. Excellent food. I will say it took 25 minutes to place an order only after I finally stopped a waiter and asked him to take my order. Overall 4/5!
The food was lovely, I chose well. The desserts were not as good. The French toast was amazing but the other mini desserts were a let down. Overall I would recommend the restaurant. Great setting with a view of London
Overpriced, food was average. Disappointed overall. The steak was very average and the lobster wasn’t all that. Dessert was ok.
We supposed to set upstairs but the refused
The food was lovely and tasty. We tried the caesar chicken salad, superfood chicken salad, mac and cheese and the french toast. The french toast was to die for. It was a bit pricey and seemed like a fancy place. We also enjoyed some cocktails. Service was great and quick. Would go again once in a while or for an occasion.
Highly recommended for all. French toast and milkshakes were the best I’ve had.
Nice place but the pancakes weren't nice. It wasn't that cheap either so I personally would not recommend it
Lovely restaurant, food is great, deserts are to die for. I’m definitely going back and recommending to everyone. Service is implacable too
Beautiful three courses , service was ok but a drinks order was forgotten and there was also some confusion as to our main course order. Food more than made up for that though.
Very pleased that we got the reservation on the day and at the time that we had requested. I got the recommendation from a friend and I only gave a 24 hr notice to the restaurant. I loved the suttle, dark paint scheme, moody lighting, smoky mirrors and white table clothes of the main dining area. I was a tad disappointed at first, when we (husband and I) were seated in, what I can best describe as, “the door way area”, between the lovely main dining area and a plainer anti chamber dining room. Yes, the view towards the main dining area, was very sultry, all dark grays and golds, but I didn’t feel I wanted to be sitting in “a door way frame.” Our very professional, waitress, advised us that she would check, if she could get us a table in the main restaurant and we were promptly offered an “upgrade”. After that, the food and the attentiveness of the polite waiters/ waitresses made for a perfect night. I look forward to a return visit.
A lovely evening celebrating a special Birthday. The Martini Bar was busy and the drinks were delicious. Upstairs the food was excellent.
They sat us in a table that was by a door that people came through ,so we moved from that .One of our party's meal had the wrong sauce on it.My wife's meal had a bit of plastic under her salmon. To make matters worse the manager blamed it on the fact they were extremely busy.So all in all it was a complete disaster , although they did knock the two dishes off the bill and the service charge.
Christopher’s has always been a good restaurant, and a very ‘pretty’ restaurant. Hadn’t been for a while and this time was for pre-theatre dinner. Service was very slow and the waiter repeatedly got our dishes muddled up. The food was very good. The noise pollution in the restaurant is very bad and for that reason I would avoid if entertaining guests.
Good service, nice atmosphere, slightly expensive.
Brilliant food and very well looked after, asked for a surprise for my girlfriends birthday and they superseded my expectations.
Thankyou for a brilliant meal!
Amazing place! Looks beautiful inside and it’s in the perfect location! Had the best french toast ever! Will defend go and try again! Tatse buds were definitely satisfied
The food is average at best. The french toast was nice, but overrated and the service was horrible. Staff are uptight, impolite, slow.
Not worth the money. Service was quite slow and no real atmosphere
@ Christopher’s to celebrate a birthday on Shrove Tuesday, the pancakes & cocktails were fab!
I only came for the pancake day specials on the pancake menu as they were something different. Cinnamon doughnut pancakes were a unique cross between doughnut and pancake. Beautifully presented in lovely surroundings.
Good flavoursome French toast and a decent quality coffee. Lovely ambience. Fair service apart from when we were paying at the end. After paying, the male waiter in a suit just dropped the receipt and credit card in the middle of the table! Astonishing! I couldn't believe my eyes and laughed, looked at my missus and then back at him and he smiled realising what he did and then he apologied. The strangest part was that it was no accident - he meant to do it! The rest of the staff were accommodating and friendly.
The food is well worth the visit, however the service is poor. We waited over 45 minutes for our food and when questioned was told that everything is freshly prepared. I explained that diners had arrived after us and received their food first but there was no explanation.
The best eggs benedict - 100% recommended
Pancakes really tasty
I first found out about Christopher's via Instagram so I followed them, started to scroll through their page and liked what I saw. Then a friend of mine went to London for the day and she told me she went to Christopher's and ordered the brioche French toast. She said it was the best she ever had. Luckily I had planned a trip myself and marked Christopher's as a must on my visit list. Let me tell u i was not disappointed, it was everything and more. I absolutely loved the service from the minute myself and my friend walked in. The staff were really attentive and the food was so quickly brought to us. The decor really set the tone and ambiance. Also my friend wasn't kidding, the brioche French toast was mouth wateringly delicious, so light yet every bite was like a warm hug. I will most definitely be making another trip very soon :)
We really enjoyed our meal and cocktails in the bar
The food was excellent
We will return
It is a mediocre restaurant that is over hyped I found the French toast slightly dry needed more texture however good atmosphere and assertive staff members
First time going to christopher's and the food was lovely! Prompt service too, with a nice friendly waiter.
I’ve eaten with you once before for a friend’s birthday and it was truly amazing. This time I felt like the waiter was hurrying us along too much - hence my lower scores
This was our second visit in as many months and in as much as there were mistakes made in the food presented vs what was ordered both times, it was corrected without issue.
That said, they do brunch very well but be warned that if they offer you bread while you wait, that’s £4. Table water? £4. Fries with your burger? £5.
So popping in for a couple of £19 burgers will end up costing closer to £80 once you’ve had a few extras. +10% service of course.
Second visit. Food did not disappoint. Service was a little disappointing. But did not take away from the experience.
I never recommend as other people may not have the same experience.
Christopher's is one of my favourite places.
Great food, lovely setting and attentive service.
French toast was delicious best thing I’ve had. Also the mocktail was refreshing and tasty.
