Peruvian
If you are wondering what new Restaurant places to explore in the current year you might consider Peruvian Cuisine. Peru has been named the “World’s Leading Culinary Destination” for the sixth year in a row by the World Travel Awards (WTA), a prestigious International Travel and Culinary organization . Since the award in 2012 Peruvian cuisine has consistently beaten other culinary giants including China, France, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Thailand, and the United States. The mix of flavors in Peruvian cuisine reflects the mix of cultures that have arrived in Peru over the last 500 years. It began with pre-Hispanic cuisine, then when Spanish colonization began in the 16th century, Moorish influenced dishes were introduced to the menu. Later, when Chinese immigrants arrived in the 19th century, their cuisine seamlessly melted with Peruvian traditional dishes and created the super-popular Chifa .

We made reservations through open table and when we got there for valentines dinner we were told they could not honor our reservation because they had already been overbooked. Made it impossible to have dinner on a busy valentines night. Horrible.

Poor service due to understaffing. Could not order a drink at the bar. They would not accommodate me on moving me from table located next to the bathroom and behind the entertainment even tho the place was empty when we got there

Look beyond the decor , might be a bit dated and cheesy , not your typical date restaurant but . We love the friendly service and great value and quality food. We were very full and walk away happy with very cheap bills will definitely come back if we in the area.

The food was delicious and the portions were large for the prices. Everything we had was flavorful and tasty. I can wholeheartedly recommended everything we had — ceviche, arroz con pollo, yucca, and the stuffed potatoes. The service was very good and the servers were very attentive.

I was expecting more of the place, better atmosphere, and for the prices way better service, they were polite, but the time to take to bring our food was long even when it was only 2 tables in the hole place including mine. They took 8 minutes to bring our drinks and they bring the apetizers after our meal, and when they bring our main curse plate took 5 minutes to get bread. I'm disappointed of the place, the food is good but if I go out to pay $35 per person I expect to have a better service.

Quick and friendly service. Delicious food at fair pricing. Larger nightclub atmosphere, which was mostly empty at the time we were there.

The pricing fits a more semi formal location, and the tables are set the same. But the ambiance feels like you’re in a bar. With neon signs at the storefront. It’s a bit off putting. The food was decent. I know Peruvian food, I was raised with the cuisine — and the food isn’t bad it just doesn’t taste entirely flavorful and is a bit underwhelming. The service was great because the restaurant was empty. It was empty at 5pm on a Saturday. There are times it is packed because they have live music, and I think that brings in the crowds but it all was underwhelming. Sweet people work there though, they were very good service wise.

The food was Absolutely Delicious and Amazing. It was a random pick our first time at Choza 96 and the restaurant did not disappoint. We will definitely go back for more delicious food and their Saturday night entertainment.

A superb first time dining experience for our group of four. Tapas and entrees plus a good selection of wine and beer was just excellent to go along with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. We will absolutely return in near future.

The service was slow. The same person was the bartender and server. The food ordered was cold when it was brought to the table.
Will not be returning to Choza 96.
