this place looks like the rainforest cafe at universal. furniture is from over stocked chinese wharehouse. airlines probably serve better sushi. over hyped.
Amazing sushi and outstanding service! Bethany was such an amazing waitress! please ask her to take care of you if you get the chance to go. Food comes out so quickly and drinks were 10/10. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Everything about our evening was perfect! A must dining experience
Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Food was beyond amazing. Service was incredible. Ambiance was great. Our server Marcelo was great. The manager Osmar was great made sure everything was great. We will definitely be back.
Food was awesome. The server could’ve been new or something, but she basically poked at us both and forgot about the coffee. Could be a little more profesional
Great ambience, great food ! Tables are very close to each other, hopefully the restaurant was not busy the time we go
I was so happy to have impressed my party with such delicious food in such a great atmosphere. The service was superb and you have 4 new customers. Looking forward to next time!!
The noise level was much higher than it should be for a dining experience. You were barely able to speak to the people you’re there with without screaming. Other than that it was great!
I originally saw Chotto Matte on TikTok and it looked like fun so I booked a dinner reservation during a weekend trip to Miami. The interior design is interesting and the food is fine, but that's about where it ends. I was pretty disappointed with the overall experience. The food was fine, but they gave us burnt karaage and kept trying to take our drinks away when we had a few sips left.
Amazing ambience, food and service .
Our server was fabulous at guiding us through the menu. Of everything we tried - and we ate a lot of sashimi, ceviche, and vegetables- the King Oyster Tostado, rocoto cauliflower wings, and the Machu Picchu Mountain were our favs. The libations are equally as tasty and creative- recommending the Yuzu Martini to start and wrap things up with a Deadly Spice.
Went here with my twin girls for their birthday on 2/18/21... they’re 6 so they couldn’t appreciate it all, but the place was beautiful and the food was delicious. Service was excellent as well as we went at 4pm and were the only ones there lol.
I have never been to a restaurant that charges a 20% service fee that supposedly is for a tip pool for the bartenders, people cleaning tables etc., then expects an additional tip for the server. The service charge and plus additional tip were 50% of the total Bill. I am from NYC and we don’t even do this. . Ridiculous!
There are so many more dining options to choose from with the same cuisine that have better dishes, better service, and overall a better experience. I’m so disappointed with the food and the service. I definitely will never return or recommend anyone to dine here.
Their Japanese flavors were very good and some inventive dishes. I felt the Peruvian inspired dishes weren’t as good. They were also a bit stingy on the wine. I found a fly in my glass about halfway through and instead of giving me a full new glass as one would expect in a high end restaurant they poured the exact amount that was left. Gives a bad taste on service. They were also very slow in bringing drinks. We had 2-3 courses before our first drink arrived.
The waited forced us to order more food saying it would not be enough for our party. The restaurant will rip you off! We were overcharged on our bill with an additional 24% “service charge”. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Amazing Valentine’s Day dinner. Will be back again!
It was great
Came here for Valentine’s Day. Which they had a prefix menu. Which are popular items already in the menu. Everything tasted the same. It seems as though they just add the same sauce to almost everything which was spicy, overly salty and tangy. I am fan of all of these flavors. But I wanted to taste variety plus it tasted like they just poured a store bought sauce that tasted like this. It didn’t feel unique, fresh or homemade. The other items that did not tasted like this lacked flavor at all. So it was a pretty awful meal. The best thing there was the dessert.
Service was also off. They were busy and scrambling all over the place. For a $105 price per person I a expecting delicious food and great service. I did not get either. Will not return to this place.
Overall great food. Very kind servers. Fantastic night. Happy to be out of the house again.
The food was horrible, it was very undercooked. After being there for a hour the host came over and said that the next party was there and that we needed to start wrapping things up. Our waiter was ok and the ambiance is nice.
Dissapointed.
Reserved a TABLE for wife and myself for Valentines . Got a couple stools on the bar instead. Gentelman that greated us at the door told us " since you are 20 min late , you only have 40 min to eat and then we need to ask for your spot " .We call to advice there was an accident on our way there.
Very inappropiate remarks Specially on Valentines.
The food is great but the ambience is so informal and noisy. It’s good for daily not for specials dates
Never again
Horrible Valentine’s Day I ever had thanks to Chotto Miami
They create a prix fixe menu, which makes you believe it is fine dining or elevated cuisine. When you get there, even though you pay for a set number of courses per person, they serve the food family style. The tables and broken chairs make you feel like you are more at a bar or an ordinary restaurant. The service is lacking with little attention to detail. One of the servers broke our wine glass on the table and spilled it onto one of our guests, and they didn't even apologize, just offered us a napkin. The food was ok at times and inedible at others. Lastly, don't let the pictures of the fake sakura trees fool you since they only have a couple at the entrance, and they do not ask if you want to be seated there. I would not come back here, nor do I recommend it to anyone.
We ordered the vegan/vegetarian from the sharing menu. My favourite was the lychee ceviche and edamame. I was super impressed with the food and will return again.
Beautiful ambiance. Food was tasty but portions were very small and overly priced. Not worth the cost.
Great date night spot! Drinks are delish and so is the food.
Great place to take pictures, food was amazing, service was fair but also very busy so understandable. Great drinks. Would definitely recommend.
very cool place . food and drinks are very good. great ambience.
Unique atmosphere with a great vibe. High quality good tasting dishes and live DJ plays good music
It was our first time there and our server suggested that we try the Nikkei Sharing Menu III. There was a very good variety of foods in this tasting menu! Our favorites were the Shishito Peppers, the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice and the Pork Belly. Everything was so well presented and described well to us as the plates came out. The restaurant is beautiful; very instagramable :) It was a perfect choice for Valentine's Dinner, we loved it!
Great atmosphere and wonderful decor. My fiancé was very impressed. Thank you
Great experience. Sat at the bar early - the manager let us sit there until the reservation was there. We ended up eating there and the bartender / server was phenomenal. Great service. Always kept drinks filled. Plates constantly cleared from bus boys. Respectful. Just a great time and the food was insane. Our favorite was the truffle on the fish - forget the name. We’ll be back.
