Great restaurant and busy, even in summertime
Plates original and really tasty , great value
Cadre magnifique, cocktails excellents, nourriture incroyable et service attentionné !
Service was sooo painfully slow and had to ask for menus and soy sauce. We ordered shrimp egg rolls that never arrived. Overall, the restaurant is beautiful inside. I might return just for a cocktail or appetizer. I liked my sushi roll (salmon and yellowtail) but everyone else at the table hated their sushi.
We went for lunch so it was a bit quiet, definitely going back for dinner to see the beautiful decor at night. The food was AMAZING! Our favorite dishes were the pork belly and the octopus, must go back soon!
Lovely evening!!❤️ excellent food and music
Amazing food and value
Chotto Matte was a great experience! I came for lunch on my birthday and had a great time. It was Miami spice so I ordered off of that menu, but also ordered off the regular menu because everything looked so good and our server Jose recommended some great items. Besides the food, drinks were spectacular. Jose made our first time there experience an unforgettable one! I have already recommended Chotto Matte to many friends and will definitely be back. The ambiance and design of the restaurant is one of a kind.
They sat us at the lounge even if we had dinner reservations. Very uncomfortable. Food was OK. Nothing out of this world. Any Japanese restaurant could cook them.
The food was alright, maybe if we had tried other dishes, which we might have. The waitress we had assigned was very unhelpful and we were even given the check without even asking for it! We were going to order more food but that really killed the mood. All on my girlfriend's birthday no less (even though we didnt announce it).
Delicious food and beautiful ambiance. Our server, Ryan was so attentive and friendly-he went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great experience and we did! Will definitely be returning and will request for Ryan to be our server again.
Tasting menu didn’t seem very well coordinated and took too long. Partial orders came out and there was too much time between dishes. We were there for 3 1/2 hours and many tables who got there before us left before us! This shouldn’t happen during the slow season...
Extremely disappointing. No vibe and food was very average. When paying those prices you expect a cool vibe and good food, it was neither. We asked the day before if 9pm on a Friday would be a vibe with the dj and we were told it was “prime time”... it was so disappointing that we went for a second dinner after.
Noise restaurant with a Miami spice menu where all good stuff required additional $$$. Service was poor because understaffed.
Gorgeous place but just that! Having had reservation at 7:15pm and not been a busy time for dinner you would think the service will be amazing but it was the worst service I ever had being a Miami Beach resident. I was catering and doing a nice gesture to my family who where visiting out of state. I was hoping and expecting an amazing experience that our server was so rude to me and my entire family from A to Z. Which was supposed to be a night of amazing dinner among my family that it will be remember as the worst experience ever for all of us dining out. The manager once he heard tried to make it right with a new server attending our table and we were appreciative but the damage was already done.
Best sushi in Miami Beach
Was great food but service was too slow!
Will be back. Great service and wonderful food. A winner.
Great experience and amazing food and drinks.
Food is good but way too expensive for what you pay for. Server recommended the course dinner and it was $200 for very small plates that honestly where ok. Ambiance is good, service is good. But it is a rip off, way over priced !!!!
First time to Chotto Matte- everything was lovely. The maitre d’ was so welcoming and friendly, he set the prefect tone to start the evening. The decor was beautiful, the drinks were very special, and the service was great. All of the food tasted excellent, although portions are very small for “sharing”. Overall, a great special restaurant in Miami Beach!
Hi Cahe: Thanks for the awesome review! We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you. Come back and see us soon. Cheers!
Undercooked food (chicken), incompetent staff and manager, extremely noisy. Best for tourists.
Wait one hour for our drinks and they were only foam. They did not offer us the Miami Spice Menu we have to ask for it and they bring us spicy mayo. And I had to ask several times for that menu. Service is horrible really disorganized but the ambiance and the food is amazing. We will not come back for the service and it is a shame because we loved the food.
Absolutely amazing food! Went with 6 people and half of them said it was one of their top 5 meals in their life! Despite the number of staff, getting cocktails took 20-30 minutes for each order. Other than that, everything was great.
Hello Anonymous: Thank you for that awesome review!!!! We value our patrons feedback, and we appreciate you for bringing your experience to our attention. We hope to see you real soon. Cheers!!
Great dining, world class, with great staff & management.
Excelent food service is super busy the place but I like the ambience
Small portions, not very good service ...
Went for my parents 30TH anniversary and it was great! Ambiance is awesome and the service was good. The food is good but not out of this world, but overall a great experience.
Service is very slow, very very poor. Food is good.
Finally made it to this little gem. Really cool ambiance very vibrant and colorful. Our table had the Miami Spice Bento Box which consisted of Miso Soup, Chicken Teriyaki with Rice,Shishito Peppers,Nigiri one of which I found really interesting as it was eggplant slightly scored to resemble fish scales, salad with fresh "ceviche'd" salmon, a few pieces of a Cali role, and the most delicious mango and berries creme brulee. All of the dishes were quite delicious. Our server was great!! OMG I almost didnt mention one of the most important parts of a meal....COCKTAILSSSSSS!!!! I had the She is so Smoking: Hennessy VS, peach, ginger and lapsang tea syrup, shiso leaf. She was smoking hot ..great cocktail and a nice visual presentation. Overall a good experience. The only down fall is the entire table had to either dine from the the spice menu or the regular menu. We chose spice. Due to this unfortunately some of my group left hungry as we thought we would be able to add dishes from the regular menu to supplement for those who were a bit hungrier.
Hi AerinS: Thank you for taking the time to review Chotto-Matte Miami. We value our patrons feedback, and we appreciate you for bringing your experience to our attention. We hope to see you real soon! Cheers!
Another one of these trendy restaurants that want to serve your food to your party their way. Meaning you and your party cannot order your own appetizer and main course. Everyone orders and plates are bought to the table as the kitchen prepares them. So if you or someone in your party has a food allergy or gluten issue you can expect to sit and wait until a plate arrives that you can eat safely. When I asked the kitchen if they could hold the four appetizers and also the main courses and serve them together so we could all enjoy our meal at the same time, they said that was not possible. So I and my party would not be returning. So many other restaurants to choose from and most will accomodater simple requests as they show they value your patronage.
I really enjoyed this restaurant, the food was amazing & manager was great.
The food was amazing, we followed the server's recommendation with the Level 2 tasting menu. EVERYTHING on it was perfect. But the service exceeded our expectations. We were very thoroughly attended to from drinks at the bar all the way through dinner. Highly recommended for a nice evening out in Miami Beach.
Great place, nice ambience, good food but poor quantity
Next level flavors. Beautiful presentations.
Ok food.great ambiance. Good for a good night for party but food is nothing out of this world
Terrible experience. Starting with the waitresses ( Amanda) who was a disaster. That's why restaurants should not include the tip in the bill. 18% automatic for such bad service???
The food also very poor. We ordered salmon and Chicken nipón . Very poor both. . Also the rice chufa was very bad.
Never come back. We lost the money, and the truth is that it is a very expensive restaurante.
BTW, two different bottles of wine , they were out of stock and as you can imagine, the sommelier didn’t offer a better one at the same price!!!
We sat close to the kitchen which had an odor. I am vegetarian and my friend was not for what we had ordered I would say it wasn’t worth it. For the two of us our bill was almost $300 which consisted of one cocktail each and a vegetarian shared menu and hers was some ceviche and sushi thing. Our server was amazing but overall I wouldn’t dine here again.
Outstanding choice for our 46 year Anniversary!
Manager Osmar DeJesus, his assistant Robert and waitress Amanda went out of their way to accommodate us and give us excellent service. Amanda’s recommendation on food was perfect and the price was well worth it and not overly priced. Looking forward to return in the near future. Highly recommended........
Always great food and excellent service. My favorite restaurant in Miami
