   The dining area for large groups was a little crowded. Our chairs were back to back w/ a large group next to us so it was a bit loud and cramped.

   First time diner (with reservation). We (party of two) had about a twenty minute wait after our reservation time. All staff was nice. Food was great. Wine list is decent.

   Great place for a Saturday night or special occasion. There was four of us for dinner. The only issue was that dyne main course was delivered at different times. This was really unacceptable as some of watched another eat while we waited. Hopefully this will be resolved for the future

   Our server was great and the hostess was as well. I ordered the lamb medium rare and they were over cooked and tough. Everyone else's food was fantastic. I will go back and try another dish for sure.

    Steak was average nothing like Ruth Chris ! Ordered medium rare and it was more medium, told the waitress and know one returned. At half the steak! Will not be back

    The food was good. Our waiter not good it's like she forgot we were there. We never got refills on drinks. This was our 1st time here and we were celebrating my husband's 40th birthday. I put that in our reservation online but I guess yall don't do anything for birthdays. We didn't even mention it to our waitress Danelle because anytime we needed something it took her forever. We did tell her it was our 1st time and she said sorry she was late to the table..it took 20 minutes for her to greet us. I was a server for 15 years and this was a horrible experience. I wish we had a better waitress maybe I would have given 5 stars. My husband loved his steak. My chicken seemed like it needed to be cooked more so I really didn't eat but a couple bites because our waitress wasn't around to ask her for stuff. I don't know if we will be back but if we do hopefully a different waitress. Thanks

    I understand how Choplin's has become a favorite of locals, friendly, approachable, great service, great drink as well as their pours and the quality of our dinners is also why. Probably the best Bourban Spiked French Onion Soup I have ever had. Can't wait to return

    Appetizers were great. Did,'t get bread at the table, had to ask for it. Noisey due to how close the tables were placed to one another and a babyshower a fww tables away. Lobster didn't come with butter at first although I dont know if that would have saved it. Steak had little to no flavor.

    Exceptional food and outstanding service (thank you Sharon!), AS USUAL. This time we made a meal out of appetizers…Brussels sprouts and the burrata salad. So good we’re going back in a couple of days!

    The macaroni and cheese was horrible was worse than Kraft Mac and Cheese. The broccoli casserole was watery. The catfish was under seasoned. Why is every single vegetable cooked in pork? Couldn’t even order a regular vegetable.

    On this visit for a birthday dinner we had 5 people at the table. It was specifically noted in the reservation that this was a special occasion for a birthday. Normally the service at Choplins is top notch but on this visit it was almost non-existent. Waitress was not personable, very impatient and acted like she would've rather been anywhere except Choplins. Our drinks were never refilled (water, iced tea, sodas) and waitress was nowhere to be found to even ask! Food was delicious as always. Nothing was ever mentioned about it being a special occasion (so why do they ask you on the reservation request your visit is for a special occasion???) Anyway, disappointing experience as far as the service went but the food was excellent.

    Very crowded. Seated late. Hostess was very polite but overwhelmed. Kitchen did not get our order and server finally realized - did comp our cocktails for the mix up. Food was good. So loud it was hard to hear to have any discussion

    always amazing! I had the brussels sprouts which are the best! And the scallops were cooked perfectly! My teenagers ate the ribs which fell off the bone. My husband ate the salmon which he said was terrific.

    Food was fantastic and our server remembered us from our forst two weeks prior. My wife loves their french onion soup. And their salads were so different and very delicious. This visit I had the duckling and it was awesome. One of these days we will hopefully have room for dessert! Definitely we will return on our next vacation!! Thanks Tammy for the great service!!

    Food was great, the staff was friendly but seriously overtaxed. The wine, taken from two different bottles, had turned. Overall an enjoyable experience, we will avoid Saturday reservations in the future.

    Food was not only delicious, but portions were generous as well. We had oysters rockefeller - delish!, the Mother Earth salad - super!! Beef tenderloin / lobster tail - best lobster my husband has had down here. Also the seared diver scallops - wonderful. And for dessert Bailey's Chocolate Truffle Cake! Staff very attentive. A bit noisey; quieter music would have improved the ambiance. All in all, a worthwhile visit.

    Do yourself a favor and visit this awesome restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing, everything we tasted melted in other mouths. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Charlotte. Highly recommend Choplins!!!.

    It was my birthday and we were seated at a lovely table. The service and food were excellent. The Bailey.’s chocolate cake was sinful! They put a lighted candle on it and thankfully did not sing! The cake is homemade as well as several other desserts. I was in heaven! Thank you for making me feel special ❤️

    Not a bad place. Most importantly, the food was good. The steak was cooked perfectly as well as the fish. Service was a but delayed but we expected that in this environment of hard-to-find workers. They appeared to be a bit understaffed. The noise was moderate. Not as classy as we thought it would be. Most people were dressed casual rather than business casual. However, the food was good and the drinks were stiff and that’s what matters the most.

    I made a 7 PM reservation for my wife and I for our anniversary based on the reviews I read on yelp. I have never been to Choplin’s so seeing the venue tucked between a large gym and a brewery was concerning initially. Once inside the restaurant the place was packed and there was a very short wait to be seated. The dress was very casual some patrons wearing shorts and T-shirts. We ordered cocktails and an appetizer which was very good and I was able to check out the interior of the venue which was very tastefully decorated. We then ordered our entrées which was a massive 12 ounce fillet cooked to perfection and Chilean sea bass again prepared perfectly. So the ambience inside and food preparation were far greater than the questionable exterior of this venue. Our server was polite and tentative. The cost of the meal was expensive maybe due to our current economic inflation situation. They have a great dessert menu and from what I saw from other patrons they looked extremely delicious, but we both skipped dessert because we were stuffed. Overall we had a very good experience at Choplin’s and we will return.
