Chopfuku Sushi Bar and Asian Cuisine
Omakase is a famous and long-standing culinary style of the Japanese. When you choose the Omakase menu, it means that you let the chef decide your dish. The word itself in Japanese means "I believe (depending) on you".

We love everything about Chopfuku.
Really good food. Probably best Sushi in Utah.
Everything was fantastic! The only things I can think of to mention is they were out of limes (for my beverage) and they put the wasabi and ginger crammed together in the same small ramekin and I had to ask for more wasabi.
The sushi is always fresh and amazing. So glad we found this spot.
Amazing food and service. Definitely the best sushi I’ve found in utah. Will go back! Great service too. We went for a birthday and felt it was a special dinner with a surprise sushi roll the chef put together for us.
We went to dinner for my brothers graduation and loved everything about it! Great food, service was amazing, super clean and professional, and overall had a great time! You cannot go wrong with any dish - trust us. Would recommend to anyone who is wanting to enjoy a nice meal with family or friends!
I’ve eaten here 3 times prior to covid. Twice being when they first opened and things were very different this time, even the food. I have previously ordered calamari and shaking beef at this place, this time the shaking beef came out in a sauce and was more of a stir fry. It was gross. I also hated the over breading on the calamari. Before it was a very light batter. Also everything came out in a noodle bowl that I found to be weird. Everyone seemed to like their sushi but not their cooked food. I wouldn’t go back because the food really wasn’t good at all and I don’t eat sushi. It’s a shame because I recommended this place to our friends and brought them for one of their birthdays.
This was a great alternative to our original choice for dinner. Glad we found this gem so close to home with such excellent sushi and menu options!
We had a great time and the food was terrific. We’ll be back.
Food was delicious and they had options for those not wanting sushi. Portions of sushi were large!
Great food...stayed overnight as we were driving through. If you like fresh sushi and sashimi, you won’t be disappointed.
Sushi was great, the main dish was ok. We had the "shaking beef" but there are more vegetables than meat in the dish. The ratio is wrong for the name of the dish. If Im having a meat dish I expect 70% or more meat in it.
The service was really good and I like the atmostphere.
Again...sushi was great!
Wonderful spot to eat! Great fish and fabulous service :)
My significant other and I went here for a Valentine’s Day dinner, and I had made a reservation for us. When we got there we were told that we needed to write our name down on their list. We had thought that it would be a 10 maybe 15 min wait, but we had waited for an hour before we were seated even though we had a reservation. Other than the long wait, The food was really good with good portion sizes. The food definitely made up for the long wait.
They did not honor any guests' reservation time. There was a huge line all for people who had made prior reservations. When we finally sat down about 20 minutes past our reservation time, we found out that the menu that night was Prix Fixe only. NO SUSHI BAR options- really? At a sushi restaurant? Their website never indicated they would be offering only Prix Fixe. So my husband and I walked out after all that fuss. Horrible experience.
They didn't follow social distancing rules, had a reservation for 7:30 and weren't seated till after 8pm - they overbooked their restaurant. Website and Google both said they had Valentine's menu and regular menu - but they refused to serve the regular menu once I was there. We waited over 20 minutes for our desert to come out once our table was cleared. The food was fairly good, but I really disliked not being able to order what I wanted and needing to pay $50 for stuff I didn't want. Not pleased with the experience.
The food was really good
Especially the crab jalapeño poppers appetizer.
Double date for Valentine’s Day. Had a special menu. Everything was great!
The sushi combo and sashimi combo were not very good. Most of the fish was not fresh. The tuna was heavily peppered on the outside. The miso soup was ok but tasted a bit different that typical miso soup. I would stick to the rolls.
I saw the yelp reviews and pictures and was excited to try this place. It was very difficult to understand our waiter and we felt like we were in a high pressure sales situation. We were encouraged 5 different times to buy the specials that we said no to each time. Very confusing trying to order as the waiter kept trying to add things to our order. We had all sushi and it was mediocre at best. Oh yah, it was $106 for 2 without tip! Not good.
Overall food was good. Ambiance and decorations were nice. Although we had a reservation we weren't seated until 45 min after our reservation and then the 10course meal took another 2 hours to be served and eaten. The service seemed to be hectic with workers bumping into each other often with some miscommunication.
Inventive, fresh and not dumbed down for the local palate. The service was excellent as well. The place was packed for Valentine’s and they didn’t miss a beat.
Tsunami just got demoted to plan B. Chopfuku is the go to for sushi now.
Great variety, friendly service. Traditional Sushi decor. Gyoza great. Fried rice very good. The rolls done great. Presentation top line. Many options price very good.
Absolutely delicious fresh sushi! This will probably become our new go to sushi restaurant. We got the sashimi sampler ($50) and everything was unique and amazing! So many fish I had never tried before (the exception being peppered tuna which was delicious). Most impressive of all was the knowledge of the staff about the fish and how they are prepared. They also took the time to talk with us to see what we usually enjoy ordering and make recommendations (all of which were spot on). Highly recommend checking out this gem.
First time there and it was great. Sat at the Sushi Bar which is where we always try to sit. We like to order a peace at a time and take our time to enjoy our food. All the fish was fresh and good........ We will come back.
2nd time we have been there with friends who introduced us to this amazing place. Live in Lehi, but drive is not a problem. The people and owner are all amazing and very attentive to your needs. The food is beyond good, beyond great. We will make this our go to restaurant hands down. If you want the best Sushi, there is no other than here.
Great food and stellar service. Great value for amount of food we were given. Best part was the service was unbelievably kind and helpful
Some of the best sushi I have had in a long time. the specials were all especially good and were all fish I had either never had before or hadn't had in a long time which is a nice change. It was a little pricey for the specials but they were so fresh that it was worth it.
Amazing food with incredible service! We will definitely be back!
Food was excellent especially the sushi! Waitress knew just what to recommend we try. Would defiantly recommend to a friend and hope to go back myself.
Great mixed Asian and Sushi place.
Great high quality sushi at a great price! Can’t wait to go back again!
The service was attentive but not ingratiating. The food was really fresh and well presented. The appetizers were great; crab puffs, calamari, and poppers. I had the Hot Mama roll and it was easily one of the best sushi rolls I have ever had. Will definitely return.
The food is always fabulous. Every one is welcoming and friendly. Love it!
I travelled from San Francisco to a conference in SLC, UT and stumbled across this gem. The food was phenomenal and the service was just as exceptional. I will be back to visit when I am in Utah next.
Some of the best sushi I have ever had! Truly exceptional food!!
Great service, great food, great prices. I loved the Fuji Mountain Sushi roll and the miso was some of the best I’ve had.
Very tasty. Unique dishes that were excellent. I had the green curry seafood. Outstanding. My friend had the Pad Thai. He said it was excellent.
Very nice and would come back
Chopfuku's food is always the freshest and most palatable. The presentation is eye appealing. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. I would suggest this place for any reason to enjoy the freshest and most appealing food of any Asian Cuisine in the state.
