   A recent visit to chop was a bit of a disappointment. I ordered the short rib special that came with mushroom risotto and broccolini. The short rib (one rib) had very little meat, no sauce and seemed dry. The plate was overflowing with chewy broccolini and beneath the broccolini, I found the mushroom risotto. The mushroom risotto was definitely the star of the dish. I would definitely not order this special again as it was not worth the cost of the dish.

   Our dinner was great! We were celebrating my husband’s upcoming birthday and it was nothing short of amazing. I want to send a shoutout to Carissa - she was the best. We’ve been here several times but she really made tonight amazing. She knew the menu inside and out and offered recommendations for us. Great server all around.

   It was overall good not the vibe for a hot date maybe more of a casual meal. Steak was way undercooked and my date had to ask to have it redone asked for medium got very rare. But service was great and offered free desert.

    Sat up at the bar top and enjoyed two appetizers: mushroom goat cheese dip - a fave, and tried the new-ish beef birria spring rolls - wow, unreal - highly recommend! The three male bartenders were exceptional - genuine and great conversationalists. Will return soon! Thanks for a great experience!
