Chop Steakhouse & Bar Coal Harbour offers a remarkable steak dining experience, with views of Cruise Ships and the North Shore Mountains. Located near the West Convention Centre, this spot seems perfect for both business meals and casual enjoyment.
Chop was created for people who love sharing, connecting and everything steak. We are proud to offer a menu that shares our commitment to sustainable beef sourcing, serving high-quality cuts of 100% Canadian beef. It isn’t just the meat that’s special – it’s also how we cook it. Our Montague broiler cooks at up to 1800 °F, giving a beautiful crust and flavour to every steak! We slow roast our prime rib in a humidity-controlled oven, keeping it mouth-watering and tender. And we put this level of care into each of our hand-crafted drinks, and from-scratch dishes, including plant-based and seafood options, with something for everyone to enjoy. Amazing food and outstanding service! The staff were incredibly friendly and always made sure we were doing well. We were celebrating a special occasion, and they gave us a private area with the best seats in the house, perfect for enjoying our food and drinks. I can’t wait to go back! I highly recommend trying the baby back ribs.

OK, but not somewhere I would repeat for a business dinner. Overpriced and the food was nothing special. Service was excellent, however.

Great location. This Chop is top of the heap. Staff and Management are on point. Product coming out of the kitchen is exceptional. Overall well run ship.

There was an exciting item listed that sounded fantastic. Pistachio CRUSTED Cod. I was excited to eat this fine meal. I could not wait to see that beautiful piece of fish finished with a broiled crust of Pistachios. Instead, what showed up was a luke warm lump of wet cod with this uncooked green mixture smeared on top. This was not anywhere near my expectations of Crusted Cod. There was no crust. Just dripping wet fish like it came from a buffet line. It had a super duper salty broth with a slight creamy look. The rice that hadn't touched the sauce was great but the heavily salted taste was a turnoff. So salty that I couldn't even finish the meal. Is this what they call Crusted Cod or did someone forget to do the final cooking before plating? How did this substandard meal make it to my table??? I wasn't worth sending it back since it would have ruined the flow of others dining with me. I had read some so-so reviews about this place beforehand. My wife wanted to go so we went anyway, hoping for good luck. No go on having good like. We skipped dessert and I ate a pint of Ben & Jerry's from the IGA Market. At least that didn't let me down. The place is nice. Service was nice. But I came for great food and was greatly disappointed. For the price, the meal should have been beyond great. Sadly the consistency of food prep is lacking based on our experience.

Definitely recommend the butchers board. The smoked ribeye is amazing along with the rest of the menu. Great place!

We were met with a warm welcome and shown to our seats. It then took a long time for us to be offered a drink , and then it also took a long time for the drinks to come . The food was good and presented well. Our waitress was friendly and pleasant. I maybe incorrect saying this , but I felt the waitresses were told to wear short black skirts / dresses , which I found a bit uncomfortable with as they had to keep pulling them down and looked awkward .

We celebrated our engagement last night at the restaurant and was greeted with complimentary bubbly. The service and food was excellent, and at the end of the dinner also received complimentary dessert and a card signed by all of the staff wishing their congratulations. It is a perfect restaurant for celebrating a big day! Thank you Chop!
