Chop House is an innovative blend of classic British steakhouse and cocktail bar brought to you by the team behind Monteiths & the White Horse Oyster Bar. Provenance is at the centre of the Chop House offer and we use only the finest beef sourced from artisan suppliers across Scotland.
The meat is dry aged for up to 90 days to add flavour, increase tenderness then the beef cooked on a charcoal grill, specially designed to give a subtle smoky flavour. Our fantastic food offering is matched by an extensive wine list from around the world and exceptional cocktail list. Open Mon - Fri for dinner, Sat & Sun for lunch, dinner and Sunday roast! Cecilia was our waitress and was superb. A great steak with delicious trimmings. A really nice experience. Would definitely recommend.

Quite disappointing for the price point. Good meat slightly overcooked to order, and everything far too-heavily salted. Serving staff were lovely but the service was slightly patchy - we were asked the same thing a number of times by different staff members which was slightly wearing.

One of steaks was requested med/rare, had to send back as was more medium and second attempt was more blue .. not too impressed given its a steak restaurant. However the sirloin med to well was perfect Service was very slow but only seemed to be 2 people on. Red wine we ordered was very cold and had to warm.up ourselves at table Despite those issues the starter and sides were all very good.

Asked for well done steaks came out pink asked for sirloin came out very thick Side plates where dirty we had to clean ourselves Also put service charge on that was not asked first but paid it

Overall the experience was super, with a fun atmospheric location and perfect steaks. Surprised there were no chops- other than the Tomahawk, and a little disappointed the maitre d knocked half a glass of wine over table, seat and frock. Certainly a place to return to. Lovely.
