Room was very warm and service friendly but VERY slow
Father’s Day dinner
Great atmosphere and will definitely be coming back again.
We had to send back both entrees.
We were not seated in a timely manner and did not stay to eat dinner after all. The restaurant was very crowded and the hostesses were ill-equipped to handle the crowd. There was no greeting to guests as they arrived. We finally, after 10 minutes, had to move up in front of others blocking the desk and let them know we had a reservation. The hostess marked through our name and then did nothing and said nothing. After a few more minutes, our son asked if we were going to have to wait and the hostess said, “well yes. . .” She gave no indication of how long and no apology. She and the two other hostesses were literally talking and chatting among themselves, one took a call and walked away from the desk, and they were absolutely oblivious to their customers.
We left without being seated and will not return. This was a total disappointment. Yea, it was furniture market but if you cannot handle reservations and manage crowds then don’t take them on.
We went during furniture market and they were extremely busy (which was great to see), they were really trying and our waitress Jasmine was fantastic. Our food overall was decent, baked potatoes were on the cold side and steaks have been better. Considering everything we had a nice time and will go back.
For the price level you would think that the service would be just as good as food, or even better.
My dining experience was elevated to another level because of the wonderful service that I received from Freya. I so enjoyed her helping me make menu selections along with her good conversation and a few laughs. That coupled with the exception of food made for a wonder impromptu night out by myself
Chop House is one of our favorites for great food, great service and a nice restaurant. Love it!!
Hadn't been to this restaurant in years, but it was as I remembered it. Service was good and the food was tasty, but the portions were a bit small for the price, except for the soup which was huge.
Our server (unfortunately forgot her name) made our experience exceptional! Her passion and help with the menu was noticeable and she did everything she could to make our experience memorable.
Birthday dinner! The waiter was outstanding. His knowledge, courtesy and attentiveness is the number one reason I will return to dine.
Food was great. The restaurant design looks a bit dated, but service was great and food delicious. Will eat there again.
Love this place! The appetizer tuna and prime rib is my fav!!!
Portion sizes are big, a little pricey but the food is good!
Not at all what I would have expected for a meal that was over $100.
The chophouse on Mendenhall Road in High Point North Carolina is always amazing. Their service is outstanding and their food is excellent. Horizon Internal Medicine HP has had our Christmas parties there in the past. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Our dinner for four at the Chop House was terrific. The food was excellent with fresh and crisp salads, tasty soups and entrees that were great. Our group had steaks and salmon and all were prepared to order with perfect paired sides. Meals were hot and plated nicely. Desserts were perfect ending to meal.
Wonderful food and service! I got the filet and pimento cheese Mac - highly recommend.
Pork chop was delicious and our server, Jane was exceptional!!!
Wait staff is always top notch. Food always very good to outstanding. Very good value for the money.
Dinner music (guitarist/singer) was louder than appropriate.
The high ratings are a little misleading. It was OK, not great. The side dish onion rings are awful; very soggy, not crispy at all!
Delicious dinner as always. Was a little surprised at the cost of adding a lobster tail to a filet dinner ($30), and not a huge variety in apps. Not sure if this is related to condensing a smaller menu for the pandemic. Excellent service, quality food, clean, reasonably quiet and overall great experience.
My wife and I had not eaten at the Chop House in 3 or 4 years, since we moved to Summerfield. But we were glad we returned. My wife had Oysters Rockefeller for an appetizer. She said they were better than the Oysters Rockefeller at Reel Seafood. I had the sashimi tuna and it was perfect. For main entree, my wife had the sea bass and said it was excellent. I went with with the yellowtail tuna (I know, more tuna). The yellowtail was excellent, cooked medium. We shared the Milehigh chocolate cake and it was delicious. Especially with the pecan ice cream. They also have an excellent wine list and we each ordered our favorite glass of wine. We enjoyed our visit back to Chop House High Point and plan to return again soon - and definitely before so much time passes!
The food was okay but not for the amount of money. Soup was very salty but other than that it was decent food. The ambiance was terrible and it smelled like a cafeteria when we walked in. Not worth the amount of money for the quality and experiance
Our last visit was more than two years prior to our recent visit. In the past, the service has been very formal, with napkins placed on laps etc. This time the service was fine but not outstanding; I was handed my hot plate over the table rather than having it placed in front of me, and definitely no napkin service. My husband's steak was excellent. My chicken marsala was ok; chicken a little tough, accompanied by a chalky baked potato. The $15 shrimp cocktail, formerly a sight to behold in a fancy glass, was served in a dull metal dish reminiscent of an ashtray, the shrimp not quite what they used to be. Overall, for the same price, I would head over to Ruth's Chris where it is almost impossible to order something that is not delicious and well worth the money. The Chophouse used to be THE place to celebrate a special occasion - so disappointed!
We like the chop House for the great food and service.
The salad with the oysters is one of my favorites entrees and I could eat that any day.
I can't quite put my finger on it but the ambiance of the dining room is bland and boring. It feels more like a high-end diner than a fine restaurant.
The lack of ambiance does not deter from the great food and service, but the place would be amazing with a decor upgrade.
So happy this restaurant is back open! Always great food with top notch service!
Service and food was excellent! We had been having our annual office dinner at another restaurant in Greensboro but due to seating limitations for our party of 8, we weren't able to have it there this year. Since our experience at Chop House, we have decided we actually like Chop House better. We liked the ambience a lot better because it was quieter and we could actually talk to one another. We also enjoyed the round tables which made it easier to talk to everyone in our party. Overall a great experience. Our server was EXCELLENT also!!!! Wish I could remember her name so we can ask for her again.
Great experience at the Chop House. Servers wearing masks correctly and being very careful. The food was cooked perfect. Best salmon I’ve ever had. Great place to feel safe going for a special occasion.
The Restaurant was pretty clean, Warm ambiance, Good overall ! But the Menu is Veyyy limited, and the Food wasn't at the Synch. with the price !
We have dined here many times and I would have to say this was the most crowded we have ever seen it! We did have a reservation, thank goodness and our table was ready when we arrived. Service was good, but it was apparent that they were not prepared for the number of people that were there. Food was excellent, as always, it just too a long time to get it. Considering that they just re opened, I think they were as surprised as us how many people were there.
Of course, we will go back again.
Food was not cooked properly, service was terrible. Server seemed irritated with the kitchen and made several remarks about they were having a off night. Oysters were slimy, steak under cooked, onion rings were cold, burger was under cooked and they brought the entrees out in the middle of us eating our salads.
Renee, our waitress was awesome. We never had to wait for her to come and check on us. She always seemed to time it just right. The food, atmosphere, prices and workers were all excellent. We will eat there again and in the near future.
Service was good and the server was very friendly. The food was tremendous. Lamb Chops were lights out. So tender and tasty! I am hooked. My wife had the Prime Rib and really enjoyed it. The restaurant did a nice job of keeping people separated and my wife felt very comfortable. Come on out folks and support these folks as they can’t continue to survive in our current state. Keep up the great work and Thank you!!
Outstanding food and great service!
Absolutely great spot. Will return. So many different cuts of beef, I actually tried the Manhattan and it was a good first experience.
We had to wait 30 minutes to get seated even though we had a reservation.
Salads and appetizers took about 30 minutes to get the table and both came at the same time.
Restaurant had over six uncleaned tables and had about 20 people waiting.
