Chop Block and Brew - Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino Resort
Amazing food. Amazing atmosphere. The blueberry mojito was very tasty.
The food was ok but not enough variety. We have eaten there several times because it is the only place to eat in the evenings beside the buffet at Ak-Chin, and they don't do nightly specials to give you some variety. The service is always good and friendly.
Andrew Is a Great Server too. Pork chop great. Fffffffaaaaaaaannnnntttaaaasssstttiiiiccc .
Was seated at our appointed reservation time with server Corey. He was excellent and right on top of service, asking if drinks were ready to be refilled when they were nearing their finish, checking back after each course delivered. Food was also excellent! Had chicken wings to start, perfectly crispy with enough sauce! Then had the French onion soup and block salad. Both very good. For entrees we had prime rib and pork chop...both were perfectly cooked as requested and very tasty. I enjoy the smokiness that they are using on the meats. Overall a great experience!
Food was great. We had the bacon rolled shrimp & 8oz blu-steak. Gabriela was our server. She was very attentive & knowledgeable of not only the food, but the casino & local aera. The atmosphere was very relaxing.
The service was excellent, from the host that check us in to the gentleman that showed us to our table, and our waiter was top notch. The food was amazing, one of the best steaks I have ever eaten.
I would recommend Chop Block and Brew to everyone.
Wonderful food and excellent service. Could not have enjoyed it more!! Will definitely return!
Jodi was a Great waitress 😁
We ate an array of appetizers because the entrees here are huge. We chose the Smoked calamari (excellent), the Prime Rib fondue (OMG good), French onion soup (done right), and the Brew salad (really tasty and refreshing). Don't really care for the bread - too sweet for my taste but hubby loves it. The service was performed by a seasoned waiter who was really helpful in helping us make our choices. Ambiance was good and the noise level was not bad for a Tuesday night although we've been here on the weekend and the noise can be kinda loud.
The service was outstanding and the entrees were cooked to perfection.
The food, service and everything was excellent
Would go again
Excellent service. Excellent food. I love dining at Chop Block and Brew!
My husband had a filet that was great. I ordered the smoked prime rib and was disappointed. The smoke flavor was so strong, it overpower the taste of the beef. I could still taste the smoke flavor hours after eating. We will return, but I will not order the prime rib again.
Food was wonderful as well as ambiance of restaurant.
Date with wife
Very sorry to write this. We've eaten here maybe a dozen times since opening. This was the worst experience by far. We took our friends there for dinner and we're very disappointed. We ordered 1 appetizer to start while we viewed the menu. We then ordered our meals, complete with 2 salads and 2 soups. We sensed an issue when after what seemed like an eternity our waiter came to apologize for the soup and salad delay and immediately offered us free desserts. The French onion soup was delicious by the way. When our main course arrived my filet and side of mushrooms was stone cold. My buddies filet looked nothing like mine in shape or size even though we ordered the same. My buddies wife ordered the pork chops, they arrived extremely well done and dry. We asked for some warm au jus to dip the chops in versus sending it back. We never received the au jus, instead, as our meal was completed, we received another order of pork chops. It was a very nice gesture, one that we didn't request at all, but completely too late. Drink service was very slow, had to remind several times for a glass of wine. We were comped 4 desserts but would much rather of had our meal done properly in the first place. The desserts were very good but not needed. Of the 4 desserts we ordered 2 cobblers ala mode. One with the ala mode on the cobbler the other with ala mode on the side. We never received the side of ala mode. Our meal lasted well over 2 and a half hours with most of that time spent waiting. Needless to say most of our conversation that evening was on this frustrating experience. It certainly influenced our mood. In spite of this we still tipped over 20% to show our good faith. The restaurant needs to know our dinner that night was unacceptable. We paid for our meal with our comp points but it was a waste of those points for services rendered in my opinion. The Chop Block and Brew has not come close to measuring up to the former Range Steakhouse. I'm not sure if we will go back. Sorry
We enjoyed a beautiful meal Valentine's week. The burger was huge as was the dinner salad that came with it. The salmon was cooked to perfection. My only regret is not knowing that you must request a booth when you call in a reservation. We could not get one, even though many were open, because of this
Food is always good and our favorite server, Rob, is the best. We always look forward to having a nice meal there. Bone In Ribeye is always juicy and tender. Mac & Cheese is a meal in its self.
Great food and service. Table layout gets a little weird by the server entry. Other than that always a great experience
Much improved. We were there when they first opened and it was terrible. Finally decided to try it again and we all really enjoyed it.
All of our food was delicious. I ordered scallops and my husband was going to order the 8 oz filet which was $38. The waitress told us their special for the evening was an 8 oz filet with risotto and grilled asparagus, so he ordered that. We were extremely surprised when the bill came that the “special” was $60!! We really felt that the waitress should have told us the price was $22 higher than the filet on the menu. We felt kind of ripped off.
Food was amazing- cooked perfectly! Our server was very nice but forgot to tell us the special of the night.
My husband and I both had the petite filet and it was cooked perfectly, seared on the outside and medium on the inside. Very tender. It came with a wonderful risotto which we both really liked. We started with the fried pickles and they, too, were great. Our server was prompt and very efficient.
Love this place! The food is amazing!! So is the staff.
Just one suggestion, when adding a topping, place the steak on a separate plate. My Oscar steak ruined my other plate items. Everything tasted great tho! I would suggest all staff share specials, or none. I had ordered, and her another waitstaff telling her table about the specials, one of which sounded amazing.
Great shrimp and grits and tender filet mignon. Excellent server.
Great place (my hubby only stated that every time we go his baked potato is cold does not melt the butter) other than that it is a great place thank you
We had dined here when the restaurant had first opened and swore we would never go back. It definitely is not the Range but it was better this visit.
First of all it’s appears they have resolved their air conditioning problems. No longer is it so cold and breezy that your meal is ice cold before it can be eaten.
The salads were fresh and well presented. My scallops were perfectly done as was my husbands filet. The 1 1/2 pound lobster tail had good flavor but was a bit tough.
Overall the meals and air temperature were improved.
Our sever, Juanita was exceptional. She was extremely attentive, fast and efficient.
Scott our server was awesome. prime rib was very good, i prefer traditional prime rib though over the smoked version that they serve. french onion soup was the best we ever had. the loaded baked potatoes were hot and were very good. the rolls they served were fresh, good and hot. we also had the smoked wings appetizer, they were terrible and not even eatable, but our server took them off our check. we had creme brulee for desert and it was great. we will definitely return again.
There was a multitude of things to write. In short, we won’t be back. Thank you.
Went for the burger, 4:30, they were out of burgers . The prime rib was way too Smokey and the prime rib fondu was way too smokey. The salads and rolls were excellent.
Food and service was wonderful. From the appetizer to the main course (ribeye) couldn't have asked for anything better.
Everything about the dining experience was fine except it was rather noisy. We realize it was a special day (Valentine's) and they were unusually busy but after sitting in the noisy bar area we were escorted to a fairly quiet table very close to the kitchen area. As Diamond players we received special comps for our meal which did not quite cover the tab. The prices are a bit high for the Maricopa area. All in all it was a nice dining experience and the food was excellent!
After arriving at 7:15pm for our 7:30 reservation we waited until 7:55 to be seated. Were seated just inside the door and the sounds from the bar with very loud, we had to almost yell at each other. Then we were told that they did not have any prime rib, hamburgers or some sides and would not do togo orders, Nice greeting. The food did arrive timely but was not impressed with the quality for the price. The desert menu was very small and not a good variety. Overall it was a mediocre experience. I would go back only if comp'd.
The service was ok the place wasn’t busy but it took forever to get drinks and even the food. If it wasn’t sold out. It was valentines and they ran out of food. My reservation was at 7 PM not 10 pm. Very disappointed for a $100 plus for dinner.
the food was excellent, and the service was also very good
Salad was good meal was cold service was slow had to take back food twice and our final bill was over charged by $40 which I had them correct. We will never return on a Holiday it was crowded and the kitchen seemed overwhelmed!😔
Food was fabulous, as usual. Nice presentation. prompt. Service was excellent.
Outstanding as always. We will be back.
This new restaurant at Harrah's is nothing like the Range that they use to have here. Service seems to be fine but the food is only so so. We have been there 4 times now hoping it gets better but for the cost I would save my money. Maybe they could get the Range cooks back or something. It's really to bad because there isn't any nice restaurants in Maricopa. Let's keep hoping for a change of better food for the price.
