The food here was very creative and delicious at the same time. Our big challenge was the noise level. We could hardly hear each other. We actually won’t be back due to that

I've been here probably eight times and every time it gets better. The food is pricey but worth every penny, especially the soup dumplings. Flavor exploding in your mouth. The rice ale is also a tasty treat. I noted on the reservation that it was a special occasion and they brought us a customized complementary dessert.

We go every Valentines Day as a tradition my wife and I enjoy. The food is amazing and I don’t know of any restaurant that comes close to how creative they are with the small plates. We love the soup dumplings and the kaya toast. So simple but very tasty. The staff are always very nice and attentive to any of your needs such as new plates, drinks, water is always filled. The staff are all knowledgeable about what is in the food or allergy information. It’s pricey so that’s why we go once a year but it’s worth every penny.

it was a Valentines Day occasion. We have been before and were surprised that they didn't have a table for us in the dining area. They tried seating us on bar stools facing the kitchen. My wife is short and can't sit on such. The kitchen was very warm, smokey and everything else that comes with kitchen activity. It wasn't what we envisioned for a romantic Valentines dinner. We will never book a special occasion like this again at this restaurant. They seated us in the bar area where attendees were loud and having too much to drink. Everything was very loud and crowded as people stood around waiting for open tables.

Not sure what VIP entitles a long standing Open Table member. Whatever it is this wasn't it. The food was fine. The menu was limited. Not what we were expecting. The lamb shank was more Indian instead of contemporary Asian. Overall, the dinner wasn't relaxing, it seemed everyone was competing just to talk to each other.

Wow this place is outstanding. Went here for lunch with my wife on valentines day.. did not dissapoint! Right in the middle of downtown on 16th street, ChoLon has a great atmosphere and feels very "posh" as my wife would say. Certainly on the pricey side but well worth every penny. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because some of their food is decievingly spicy.. like, a lot. Their calarami dish about ended my day with what was one of the spiciest single bites ive ever had in my life (still ate most all of it though..)

Cool ambiance in the restaurant. Food was creative but not exceptional. Waiter spoke very loudly and didn’t ask half our party for their drink orders because he thought we looked too young. Overall a decent restaurant but I won’t be going back personally.

Amazing food and service! They made our anniversary very special. We got to sit at the Chef counter and had the pleasure of watching the staff cook and plate,the kitchen staff is clean and the plates were presented beautifully. The expo was amazing she went above and beyond to make sure every plate was perfect. We were in awe at the perfection that was displayed and delicious the food was.

The ambiance and service were five stars. The food lacked flavor, which was hidden with too much spice. I was expecting so much more for the price. For $37 I got 4 gritty scallops. I left disappointed and hungry.

This was our 4th visit to ChoLon and they never disappoint. Absolutely love their food, even if you think something sounds strange like egg cloud try it you will be amazed at how yummy and complex the flavors . The soup dumplings are one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, I look forward to those each time. We did miss the tuna spoon that was no longer on the menu. The Waygu beef main course is another dish not to be missed.

Dumplings...just get the dumplings! They are seriously the best dish I've had in a long time
