What Insiders Are Saying
Learn the meaning of "Asian fusion." Or just have a really good lunch.
Excellent food. Attentive service, presentation was extra ordinary. Get the whole bass, quite the treat.
Food was in general great. Service was good except that they forgot to bring us the appetizer. However, they did make up for that by taking it off the final bill, which was nice.
Overall, it’s a great place, a little pricey but definitely recommended.
We had a fantastic meal for 2, with a total of 4 shared plates and a shared dessert. All dishes were among the most creative, interesting and tasty dishes we've had. Outstanding. Leans a bit on the expensive side but completely worth it for us because of the creative dishes.
Amazing flavors in the small plates to share were wonderful. The dessert is not to be missed!
We took our 12 year old granddaughter with for her birthday. We had a great corner table and the soup dumplings were fantastic were a real hit. Out waiter and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and made us feel right at home. Our experience was excellent!
Waiter was wonderfully helpful and very attentive. The food was incredible and was brought out at perfect time intervals
Perfect as always. Definitely worth the experience if you haven’t already been
Different food, different flavors, a bit noisy. Dinner meant to be shared some was good done was ok.
An exceptional meal. Very good service. So many unique offerings on the menu. Would definitely return when I return to Denver. They have 2 sister restaurants attached and may be worth a try.
Great food and excellent service. The dishes were spot on!
Loved the entire experience. The food was packed with a lot of flavor and everything was cooked and prepared perfectly. Absolutely can not wait to dine at ChoLon again in the near future.
Best dinner spot in Denver! Two must tries are the soup dumplings and the lobster crepes! Exceptional service and the best food in Denver!
Food was great and sharing plates was a great way to experience more of the wonderful flavors. I prefer less noise which would make conversation easier.
Diappointing. Tried Cholon since love Buddakan in NYC, but it's no Buddakan by a long shot. Shrimp egg rolls and soup dumplings were ok but not amazing, mussels were fair, lobster crepe was interesting, scallops and Malaysian noodles good. For the $$$$ I expect more
Loved sitting at the counter! So much fun watching the kitchen.
Great Asian fusion food in a modern almost hipster kind of environment. Food was very good, some choices better than others but you have to try the brussel sprouts...those are a not to miss dish! The decor is modern and comfortable...however the noise level is pretty loud.
This was our second visit and we will definitely return! We enjoyed our visit without a doubt!
As always everything was perfect. Food and service were outstanding!
Great food, amazing location and sweeting!
Food was excellent, no doubt about that. We ordered the ginger soda - delish, little more ginger needed though. Then the lamb kebabs were super scrumptious, little harissa like heat mixed with perfectly cooked lamb and the onions elevate the juicy flavor. We loved the ped kee ew, it was a big bowl of fresh vegetables with egg and bean sprouts. Lastly we also tried the fish tacos and they were equally good. The service was mixed. Our first server (male 1 was courteous and very knowledgeable), server 2 (female) was the total opposite. She was not courteous, placed our food at the wrong table and walked away. She just didn’t seem to care. She also placed the food in front of the wrong person at our table without asking who ordered what. She was also accompanied by another server (male 2) who was polite and did all the right things. Overall, great experience with a minor kerfuffle.
Always a favorite spot to visit when I'm in Denver. You can never go wrong with the amazing dumplings but everything was absolutely incredible and Luke our server was first rate!
The BEST food I have had in a long time. The dumplings were unreal and they were so sweet to bring out a complimentary dessert as I was celebrating a move to Colorado. Will be back with my Boyfriend when he is visiting!
Service was perfunctory and adequate, but nothing special. There was no connection with the waiter and it didn't seem as if he was reading the table very well. The food was fine; nothing extraordinary to justify the price, in my opinion. The food options are quite limited for persons who are pescatarian or vegetarian. Bill was $125 for two people. One alcoholic beverage plus food. Not worth it.
We had vegetarian options of several dishes, and they were amazing (and the price adjustments were much appreciated). The tofu was just delicious, and the brussels sprouts were one of the tastiest dishes I've ever had. We enjoyed sitting outside, and the service was just right.
Great place for a date with notably authentic southeast asian flavors. The kaya toast and egg cloud dipping sauce is a high end twist on a common breakfast favorite, while the crispy whole striped bass is actually laying on an interpretation of a hawker favorite dish called rojak, even though the menu lists it as herb salad. Only high priced items on the menu, so not recommended for kids.
Everything was amazing! Great place to bring out of town guests.
Every bite was a taste treat!
Innovative cuisine expertly prepared. Great service to go along. Very nice place for a business or a personal meal.
This was our first visit and we got the suggestion from a “Best Restaurants in Denver “ list. We ordered 3 small bites and a shared plate. Everything was superb. Service was wonderful and wine was delicious. We now have a new favorite restaurant!
Really nice variety of shared plates. Really liked the tender calamari, pork belly buns, soup dumplings and egg rolls. We also had an amazing whole fried sea bass that was delicious. Just be prepared to work at it a bit.
We hosted friends from Los Angeles the other night. They loved it! Hard to converse as it’s loud. Once a couple of big tables are sat...boom. It gets pretty loud. Otherwise great food. Great staff. Thanks
Excellent food and wait staff. but host was a little rude. No parking available near by. Their garage was full. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars all around.
Kitchen view at the bar is the best way to experience your cuisine and I’m so happy I spent my birthday here.
This place is great but for the noise. It's just too noisy even with a quiet seat, so for the feint of hearing or tolerance for this, it's not optimal. But generally it's got magnificent food and service. It's terrifically unique, seriously.
So for me it's worth it, better on the earlier side when it's less crowded.
This was our second visit and it was every bit as wonderful as our first visit! The service was impeccable and the food was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about each menu item and recommended exactly the right amount to order!! The cocktails were awesome and unique and the wine list was interesting. We will definitely be back!
Soup dumplings are amazing.
Dinner at the ChoLon Modern Asian on a Friday evening was very good. The restaurant was at capacity and as a consequence the noise lever was moderate making conversation somewhat difficult. The food was excellent. The sauces accompanying the "small bites" were exceptional. The concept of "shared plates" for the entrees was very good; one entree shared by the two of us was sufficient. The service as professional, helpful and polite. The ambiance is attractive.
The food was delicious, the portions were small which was expected. The French press coffee was also delicious.
Awesome as usual. Thanks
The soup dumplings were amazing! I also highly recommend the brussel sprouts, pork with kafir lime. Mind blowing!! Kaya toast as a dessert would round out a great meal.
My new favorite restaurant. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!
