Great spot for brunch and catching up with my girls. Food is delish! Unlimited mimosa excellent!
The chicken and pancakes were amazing. All the right flavors were there.
The food was delicious. I had the Calamari as my appetizer. I had the Short Ribs of Beef with mashed potatoes and spinach, ah so good! I had 3 Dark and Stormy's to quinch my thirst. My dining mates also had the Calamari as appetizers and Lamb Chops with mashed potatoes and Baby Back of Ribs with Mac and Cheese.
Met with the ladies for a nice brunch food was good atmosphere was lively and energetic and they make great drinks
Trevor was our waiter and he provided us with phenomenal customer service. The food was great really good flavor. Overall experience was 10.
Owner Leon patiently and sensitively addressed an issue my family and I had with menu prices. He personally ensured that we had a delightful and delicious Thanksgiving pre fixe experience. We are faithful Chocolat customers and will be back again for the yummy food, great drinks, groovy tunes and attentive service.
Thank you Leon and staff.
I got a margarita that seemed to be a LIT. drink wasnt dressed at all. Not even in a margarita glass. Didnt taste well either. Waiter was ok. Had to flag him down a few times. Work on presentation n wait service
We had a very early brunch (10am). The restaurant is light, airy and made for great atmosphere. Our server was extremely attentive and patient with our later arrival.
The food was FANTASTIC! Every item we ordered was above expectations and our group had a wonderful time. Will absolutely return.
As a family we always prefer to eat locally and avoid chain restaurants,so we decided after just finish seeing The Grinch at the Magic Johnson theater to grab a bit to eat. As we came down the escalator in the theater we noticed a Buffalo Wild Wings and walked in, as we waited to be seated I started searching local restaurants in the area and came across your menu. We like what we saw on the online menu and headed down a few blocks to Chocolat. As soon as myself, fiancé, 11 year old son and grandpa walked in we notice a strong smell of marijuana in the entryway. We didn't think much of it and thought it may have been someone that just left the restaurant leaving their smell behind and proceeded. The host soon walked up to us and welcomed us to a table in the back. The entree was amazing no complaint but the appetizer had a hair in it. We mentioned it to the waiter he apologized and immediately took it away. The waiter soon came out with 5 rings of calamari nothing like the full plate we originally received when ordered. We all had exactly 1 calamari, with a sad face we decided not to mention it to the waiter. He was very kind and servicing. As I mentioned before entree was amazing but the appetizer situation along with the smells in the restaurant let us with a sour note, so much for family night.
I love the food and mimosas at This restaurant. Highly recommended to anyone celebrating any occasion...
food was very good. I will go back for sure for Brunch.
Their online prices are about half of what the real pricing is.
The food was perfectly prepared! They played great tnb and soul music. We enjoyed ourselves.
Beautiful place. Great waiter (Ray) who was attentive but gave my friend and I space to catch up. Very delicious food but two apps, two entrees and three alcoholic beverages came to $172+.
Service was pretty good. The food and drinks were great!
Food not very good.
Awesome time at this restaurant. Dinner and atmosphere was great. Cant wait to go back.
Food on point
Service on point
Prices a little high but worth it
Initially the music was too loud but eventually someone turned the music down. At that point I was able to speak to my date.
Would definitely go back!
I have high expectations when it comes to costumer service and this restaurant did not disappoint me. The server was friendly the food was good the ambiance was romantic and they played 90s r & b the entire time. It was a great place to have a first date!!
It was for my husband's 70th Birthday dinner. Just he & I! I saw the restaurant on Facebook & decided to try it! We enjoyed our time there & will recommend it to others! We were there from 5-6:30pm! It was not crowded and was just the right time!
Came here once before last October with two of my friends and I loved it. Music you can actually hear and it was good too. Lights were all the way dimmed but the candles allowed u to see your food. This time the lights were on brighter, it was really quiet, it wasn’t fun and the food wasn’t as delicious as the first time. The steak tasted almost like chicken it was weird idk. I guess things changed in the last year. My man had never been there so I think I hyped it up too much because he wasn’t impressed.
Once again, the food was delicious. It took a little while to be served but it was worth the wait.
I love the sangria, lamb, crab cakes, and fried chicken.
This was my first time at this restaurant and surely my last! The service was terrible, we’d ordered our drinks and nearly 30 min after ordered food. After waiting close to an hour we were notified that they ran out of the meal that we’d ordered. At no point did anyone ever apologize or did management come over to try to accommodate us, we immediately left and went over to a nearby restaurant. Save yourself the trouble of poor service and simply don’t even bother coming to this restaurant. I’m honestly shocked that they are still in business the way that they treat their customers.
Thank goodness for the bartender Pedro and our waiter Ray. They were easily approachable and kind. The hostess was no where to be found . After standing at entrance for 10minutes i informed bartender of my reservations. And later after my party arrived i had to still ask Pedro can we be seated. That was after 3 appetizers and 5drinks we ordered at bar
While I enjoyed the experience and my group is planning to go back for the lunch menu specifically due to the price being a bit more reasonable, we did find the cost for dinner was expensive. We each had one drink and our entrees and the cost was approximately $60.00 each
Made a reservation and they were closed
Love this place. The vibe is always up beat. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
We had a very nice time for our girl's day brunch. The food and the service was very good and the proprietor was very accommodating when there was a small issue. Would definitely visit Chocolat again. THANKS LEON!
Loved it there . We all had a great time and the food was AMAZING! My bestfriend had a great bday.
I’ve been here several times and have had good experiences but this visit was disappointing. The server was nice but there was a language barrier which made it a little tedious and frustrating. They didn’t have some items we were looking forward to ordering, including bellinis and salmon dishes. Also, the food took a while and some things were sent back for being cold.
This is our third time visiting Chocolat, always a great time, the food is absolutely amazing. However this time the service was not what we’re used to. The main problem was the billing. Two of my sisters ordered the famous red velvet pancakes with just a side of smoked bacon. When the server, Anthony comes out with our food, we see that he brings out the red velvet pancakes with the chicken, the other option. My confused sisters said that’s not what we ordered they said only bacon because it was too much food. The server, Anthony, said “no it’s ok, it comes with that too.” My sisters agreed and said ok fine. The bill comes and we were charged for the price of the pancakes with the fried chicken which was a few dollars more each PLUS charging us for two sides of bacon that Anthony claimed comes with the entrees. My sisters and I were upset but we thought it’s too late to bring it up because A) we already ate half of the chicken and B) we were late for another engagement. I’m usually a big fan of this restaurant but this last visit was a disappointment. Food was absolutely fine, just wish we weren’t charged extra for entrees two of my guests didn’t ask for.
Numerous items on menu not available, including beer?
This could have been a five star review, how every they ran out of too many items. They had to substitute spinach for collard greens. Kale maybe, but spinach cannot substitute. We asked for dark meat, but were served white meat. The shrimp and grits were outstanding. They were spicy and creamy. The fried chicken was delicious as were the mashed sweet potatoes. They ran out of Tea, and red velvet cake. They ran out of chocolate cake and substituted chocolate mousse cake. However, every morsel was delicious. Special acknowledgement to our Server Brandon. He is the consummate professional.
JUST AMAZING OVERALL. I will be back soon. Thank you for great food and vibes
Bottomless Mimosa are a misnomer! Atmosphere was great, and it all started at the door with the great personality of the hostess. All staff were extremely professional, super busy, may want to have extra staff on hand for Sunday brunch.
I love my experience. The people and staff was beautiful. The only negative was my waiter was also the bus boy which took a little long.
I’ve been to CHOCOLAT RESTAURANT many times. The fried chicken is delicious along with the Mac & Cheese. Always a pleasant time but this time I must say my server Artem, was wonderful. He made my dining experience extremely wonderful.
Wish more servers were like Mr Artem.
Hardly any selection in wine; no ingredients for a basic vodka martini; kale was made with too much oil
Great atmosphere. Urban chic. Great service especially Abigail and Vlad.
