Chisholm's - American Beef and Ale House
While all of our meals are fantastic standing alone, we find they are best paired with one of our carefully selected drink options! Choose from various local ales and craft beers either on tap or in the bottle. Enjoy a glass of wine to enhance the flavors of your meal. We also have delicious signature cocktails you won’t find anywhere else.
The food was great. The waitress could have been a little better, but the whole experience was wonderful. The food was ever as good as any high dollar restaurant in Wichita that I have been too. This is a hidden gem in regards to the quality of food. Will definitely go back.
Food was amazing! Service has room to improve, for as slow as they were our waters went empty regularly and orders did not arrive at our table correctly.
Food was great, service was excellent, location was convenient. Well done!
Everything about the restaurant was very nice. The only thing I did not like as well was the food. My friends got the pizza and loved that, but the burger and ceasar salad was not very special in my opinion. The dressing of the ceasar salad had a bit of a funny taste. Otherwise very good atmosphere.
For a Friday night, it was very quiet (of course it is a steak house during lent). Our waitress was outstanding and it was fun to use the iPads to order. The food was very good as well and they have a good happy hour. My only complaint was how long it took to get our food (about 20-25 minutes). It was OK that night as we were celebrating with family, but considering how few people there were, I would have expected the food to arrive a bit faster,
Food was excellent, service struggled but responded as best could manager comped cocktail. Give it a try
Very nice place for a relaxing quite meal. Everything is too notch, food is fantastic. Service great, they really do take care of you.
Very dead...only 1 other couple in the place....service very friendly...drinks were good...food was below average.
It was interesting that I had received an email and i let them know i was coming. In the am, one person unexpectedly was going to be added to our lunch count. When i called direct, they didn't seem to be able to locate the reservation. Then we were the only ones in the restaurant. It was a sweet time for us.
We had missionaries in from India. They set us at the big table near the bar. Food was great.
Service...Excellent. I will recommend it to others. I am not sure about the glitch with the reservation.
Have an amazing day!
This is a restaurant in a hotel close to the airport, so expectations should be tempered. Chicken wings had problems and were sent back. We were abandoned by our waitress for 20 minutes. Two separate requests weren’t followed on food preparation. The salad lettuce was below quality expected. A red wine was not good. We ate there for convenience but expected better food and better service.
Excellent meal in a convenient hotel at Wichita airport.
We were not able to eat due to no gluten- free options on the buffet.
It was wonderful. The steak was delicious
I had been here in the last month, but I decided that my get together with my girlfriends should try this establishment. They were not disappointed. The variety of dishes, the attentive service, and the quiet surroundings made for a great night. It's an easy location to meet friends from the east side because they can get to it so quickly.
We went with two other couples. We wanted a place where we could eat a good steak and and catch up with each other. We got both and so much more. We all ordered different things but everyone felt that the food was exceptional. This is the old Legends restaurant but has been newly refurbished. It looks great and we were allowed to stay as long as we wanted to have after dinner drinks and continue our conversations. The service was exceptional. You should give this place a try!
The newly remodeled Restaurant was by far one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The place looked wonderful. The service was impeccable. As for the food we started with both the Mini Filet and Seared Scallops appetizers. Both were cooked to perfection. Our entrees were equally as delicious. We ordered the 16oz Ribeye and the Beet Tenderloin. As a fan of steak in Kansas you could tell a lot of care went into making sure they selected the best cuts available. Plus the fact that it is local made it that much better. The Manager Sarah and the Food and Beverage Director RayMond have definitely build something to be more than proud of. Great Job everyone!!! We will be back.
Everyone in our group loved their food. Service was excellent! We will be back!
I absolutely love the atmosphere of Chisholm’s and the friendly staff. It used to be called Legend’s which was part of the Airport Hilton and I always liked the atmosphere there as well. The food is excellent but I believe they leave the seasoning of mostly salt and pepper on your beef up to the individuals liking. I have found that to be a trend in LA restaurant’s as well.
Fifth time dining at Chisolms since opening in Feburary. Great food and atmosphere.
The food was good but not good enough to justify the price. Especially when the sides are all extra. Certainly miss the old restaurant in this location , especially the Saturday night buffet. At least that was something rare in Wichita, unlike a steak house. It just needed a décor update.
The restaurant was basically empty but the service was average and seemed novice.
I doubt we will ever go back.
When you first walk in the appearance might lead one to believe this place is pricey. I can’t speak for the normal dining menus, but as for brunch this assumption would be correct. The options were slim and disappointing and especially for a $25/person buffet. The options were prime rib or fried chicken. Both options were decent, but nothing special. Besides those the only other options were eggs, bacon, potatoes (both country style and mashed) an omelet station and a sad salad and desert bar. For that price I would expect a few more options. I should mention the price does include 2 very small mimosas and a coffee. A 12 ounce beer cost $7 while the same size Bloody Mary was $10 which seemed a bit pricey as well. I can’t say I wouldn’t give his place one more shot as far as their normal menu goes, but I definitely won’t be back for brunch.
My girlfriend and I were really looking forward to this night. Sadly, the restaurant was a REAL disappointment. She ordered the reuben, and it was so dry she could barely swallow it. I had the scallops, and they were so salty as to be practically inedible. I would have rather had a Big Mac, and it wouldn't have cost $44. On the other hand the ambiance was pleasant, and the service was satisfactory.
We went for Valentine's Day. When booking there was no mention of a pre-fixed menu, but the kitchen was accommodating and since we were early enough allowed us to order off the full menu. While none of the food was bad, it all lacked seasoning. I had a hanger steak, which was a quality cut, but no seasoning. Wife had vegetable gnocchi which was ok, but again lacked seasoning. While those can easily be rectified the value of the dinner was not there. If the food was better then the value may have been more, but for the $100 meal this did not live up to many of the better restaurants in the area. I know they are new, but I'd be surprised if I returned.
Seafood pasta dinner mentioned crab, but was evident at all. Ribeye was less than average and overpriced for cut of meat.
