The food is delicious - always a great crowd at lunch. Service needs a bit of attention.
I spent valentine’s day dinner here with my girlfriend. We ordered the fried brie cheese (definitely recommend) for our appetizer and ravioli and seafood bouillabaisse for our entres. Our server was friendly, the taste was good, and ambiance of the restaurant was excellent. The prices ($26 for ravioli and $37 for bouillabaisse) are far too high for the quantity and quality of food provided.
Over priced. Decorating was strange
Food portions very small for price. Nothing special
Will not be back.
Our server wasn’t very attentive at all. For $100+ I would expect much higher quality service, especially on Valentine’s Day.
Food was pretty good, though a bit bland.
If you don’t offer salt and pepper on the table you need to “nail it.”
Outstanding food and service on a very busy night (2/14). In spite of the crowd, the dining areas are laid out so that it is never too loud to carry on a conversation. Certainly will visit again!
First of all, the entire menu was padded money-wise for Valentines Day. So a serving of ravioli was $22 and you received 5 pieces of pasta with no meat Secondly, the menu was super limited and didn’t include the items from the usual weekly plates so even though we looked at the menu hours before the reservation- it was totally different! Annoying! Service was lame - our waiter maybe spent 2 minutes total with us. DON’T waste your $ or time with this SAD place!!! Order out for PIZZA!!!!!
I already wrote a personal note to the restaurant how disappointed I was with the whole dinner experience at Chinook tonight. I’ve known this restaurant since the late 90’ (it used to be located in North Cherry Creek) and I had always had a pleasant experience with it but tonight was an exception. Our server just made me very uncomfortable and I almost left the restaurant only 5 min into our dining there. I am not calling him rude but I did not feel welcomed at all because of the way he treated me. I could tell that he just didn’t like me as a person. I felt like I was being judged because of the way I looked. It was supposed to be a nice/sweet Valentine’s day with the love of my life but our dinner was completely ruined by him. However, the dishes we ordered were all good and delicious so there is at least one good thing to compliment about the restaurant. For this whole experience, I’ll give it 2.5 stars. Nonetheless, I won’t probably go back there in a while.
Have eaten here many times. My only complaint was slow service. But it was faster service on our last visit. Food as always outstanding.
Have been going to Chinook since they were in Cherry Creek, Food and service is always good. While the Tech location is a lot further it is still worth the drive.
Chinook has excellent and creative food selection. Also, it is quiet enough that couples can enjoy some conversation with dinner in an unhurried and peaceful atmosphere. The menu features excellent and creative fish dishes, meat dishes and some Italian and German cuisine that is worth the time and effort to get to the place. Prices are just fine in today's restaurant market and the qualify of the fare is really great.
Always good service and good food. Best French Onion soup I’ve ever had!
Everything was great! Love the food and atmosphere.
Pricey! The value was tough to find. Dinner for two with a $40 bottle of wine was $143 with tip.
Seems a bit much for what we got. I won't be going back.
We enjoyed our dinner at Chinook Tavern. The menu was full of interesting choices - very few places have much in the way of German food. The salad, soup, and entrees were outstanding, and the service was first rate. We will go back.
Austrian food, lots of Veal, with some pizzas and salads thrown in .....not bad, not great.
I was shocked at the prices. I have gone there ever since they were in Cherry Creek. The prices were a little over the top
Great food, Great service in a fun atmosphere
I have never been disappointed with a meal or the service at Chinook.
Great food, great location, great facility, great staff (as always)!
Great Rest. local neighborhood, Little pricey, but excellent menu and wonderful european
dishes. Bright and cheery atmosphere. Service was attentive, personable, and prompt. Not
our first visit, definitely not our last.
My "jager schnitzel" was great with perfectly cooked/seasoned veggie (carrot & zucchini). Friend ordered the beet salad and loved it.
If you haven't been here, it's a must. It's one of the best designed restaurants, especially during the holidays!
It was amazing i will definitely return :)
Maybe it was because it was Christmas but service and overall satisfaction has been lower the last few times. Service was very slow, food had been sitting a few minutes before it was brought to the table. You could tell this from the layer on the soup and all entrees were not brought at the same time. Beautiful restaurant and some wonderful dishes but their attention to detail has not been there on our last few visits. Worth trying but be prepared as may not be the best experience given the cost.
Poor service for a Christmas dinner. Food was good, prices fair.
We have eaten here several times. We always enjoy the meal and atmosphere and it is a great restaurant for Christmas
Other than they were out of the osso buco when I ordered it and I had to make a second choice, it was excellent in every way. We went for Christmas eve dinner and it was warm and pleasant, great service and great food. Thank you.
I was disappointed overall. I went there for Christmas dinner and our food took over an hour to get to us. Then I had to send mine back because it was cold. My friend didnt like hers either. For $300 , I do not think it was worth it. Our waiter was nice- that's the only decent part of our night. Ambiance was super light and didn't feel cozy or intimate.
We dined at Chinook Tavern as our Christmas Eve dinner. Everything was as expected except I specifically called the day before and asked if the Christmas menu was in effect for Christmas Eve and were specifically told it was NOT and that Christmas Eve would be the normal menu ; which is what we preferred.
However, when we were seated we were presented the Christmas menu and upon inquiry were told this is always the case and that everyone on the staff knows it. While the Christmas menu did contain most of the normal menu items, not all of the ones we wanted were offered.
Don't know who I spoke with on the phone but obviously they did not know it. Just a heads up about the Christmas ( and Christmas Eve ) menu.
We reserved a table for 4 on Friday, December 22nd as a pre/early-Christmas celebration.
The food was OK and I enjoyed my schnitzel, but two members ordered the trout and were sick for 8+ hours.
Not only were they sick, but when the restaurant was notified the following day, they were not believed and did not receive any response.
I will NOT be eating here again or recommend to anyone looking for places to eat in DTC/Greenwood Village.
Our last visit was during the holiday week of 12/18/17 and it was jammed. The service was painfully slow, they mixed up the orders (cheese on sandwiches) and the calamari app took forever and was terrible -- over-fried, like it had been fried once (or twice before) and chewy, almost inedible. My steak salad was very small for $15 and the dressing uninspired. I've been there three times in the last few months and, while slow, it was good. Given its proximity, I'll go again, but they've got to step it up in the kitchen and on the floor!
