The food is very good and the ambience is excellent. I recommend this restaurant.
Amazing food, amazing service! Would definitely recommend for fancy dinner or date night!
Service just OK
Food not so good . . . especially for the price point.
Tasty! Efficient service.
the menu was over priced and the food was just ok. Our server was very busy and we had to wait for our check. Probably won't go back.
❤️☺️ the food was amazing, service was great!! It was a very nice quality meal and place!
The location was the best part of this restaurant. The food was absolutely awful. Nothing we ate was even edible. Save your time and money and try something else.
We had our first date here and it was such a wonderful experience that we decided to come back for our anniversary this year!
terrible beer menu, cold (maybe still frozen) bread, unfiltered water that tasted like chlorine . potatoes tasted like they came out of a bag. meat in entrees seemed poor quality. zach's out to make money. I will never go to one of his restaurants again.
Great service, good food, nice location. Plan on going back again with friends.
Great experience with the ambiance, food and service.
The service and ambiance were excellent! Servers were extremely attentive and they made my dining experience exceptional. The meal on the other hand was not. My friend had the salmon which was bland and tasted slightly freezer burned. For the price I would have expected something with a lot more taste, vibrant flavors and fresher piece of salmon. I had the hanger steak. The steak was cooked perfectly. The side was some sort of mashed starch medley with potatoes and other root vegetables which resulted in a horrible combination of flavors. I’m not a picky eater ,especially with root vegetables, but it was not edible.
This was my first time here and I was surprised to have such a bad meal. Hopefully it was an off night. As I mentioned earlier the staff is exceptional! Despite the bad food they made my night enjoyable.
Our server (I forgot his name) was so helpful and very honest about what he knew I would like and would not like. He was very knowledgeable and loved answering my thousands of questions. The food was amazing and the chocolate hazelnut moose cake was the perfect ending to the perfect meal. We will be back!
The food is always great here. The problem with our last visit was the service. Not that it was inattentive, but that we felt rushed. This was our Valentine's Day dinner (ahead of the actual day) and we wanted a nice dining experience. As it turned out, no sooner than we sat down, the waiter asked us for our beverage order, and we hadn't even had time to look at the menu or wine list. All told, we were out of the restaurant after just 50 minutes, which included drinks, appetizer and entrée. My partner took a five-second break from his entrée, and the waiter swept in and asked if he wanted it boxed up - another feeling of being rushed out the door. We would have ordered a dessert there, but felt we would give our business to someone else for that part. There were some empty tables in the restaurant, so I don't know why the need to rush us or anyone else.
The food was excellent., everything as expected but the entire staff was worthy of 6 stars. Bravo!
Chinato is a Cleveland favorite. The food is always out of this world. We had the meatballs and swordfish. Elliot was our server and he was knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and helpful. The hostess staff was also very kind and even checked my coat. I felt very spoiled.
Always perfect experience! Mike, our service, is Five Stars! Elliott also a five star server! Our favorite downtown dining experience.
All good .... classic Zach Bruell.
Really enjoyed our dinners here. We ordered the salmon and absolutely loved it!
Service was great. Dining area is overcrowded. Octopus salad was awful. If there is such a thing as canned octopus, this was it. Col buco was good.
Good food, great staff... cheese board is a must have!!
The restaurant is listed as Italian, but the menu has many other dishes. Most of the Italian dishes are not made in the traditional way, containing a lot of ingredients that I was not familiar with. I ordered linguine with shrimp, but it came out as angel hair pasta with shrimp. Obviously, not the same as described. I don't like angel hair pasta and would not have ordered it. The pasta was clumped together in an unappetizing way. My daughter ordered veal, but it seemed to have some cheese on it that gave the dish a strange flavor. She did not eat it. WE had a cheese board first and that was good. It is located very close to the Q, and that is why we chose this restaurant. In the future, I would try one of the many other restaurants in the area instead.
Service was good, but would like to of had a little less of the pork and a little more of the pasta in the Col Buco.
Two items that need attention: bread was delicious but cold; served with plain EVOO but there was no available butter. Water glasses were promptly filled with cold water but without ice
Great meal until mold on rasberries at desert....handled fine by server, obviously not his fault
Our server was wonderful. The food was good, but not up to previous visits
We suggested Chinato's to our friends because of Zach Bruell's pre fixe special. The only good thing about our experience was our waiter, Elliott. We'd asked to be placed at the quietest table when we made our advanced reservation. Instead of seating us at a booth or a quiet corner we were placed in the middle of a long banquette of tables. Our food was horrible: the tomatoes in our tomato salad where mushy, the swordfish was chewy and the asparagus was acidic. As we were having our coffee and the check was on the table we were told "our reservation time was up" and we'd need to give up our table. We were truly embarrassed that we had recommended Chinato's to our friends.
Had excellent service from Bonnie, our waitress and from Patrick, the Manager. Their combined effort made the night especially enjoyable and would definitely influence my decision for a return visit.
Good experience; we did enjoy our appetizer; the Suppli al Telefono were wonderful.
Quick service before game, food always good, staff friendly and helpful
Wonderful service and very attentive to food allergies. The best gluten free pasta I have ever had! Highly recommend!
The service was at best spotty on all levels. The food had dropped in quality and interpretation - it seemed as if Zach has not given the menu a once over in a while chef de cuisine used his own standard to let the courses leave his purview. More is expected of a Bruell restaurant.
Italian place with nice atmosphere to dine before any sport events in down town cleveland
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner pre-Cavs game. Though the restaurant understandably was somewhat noisy, crowded, and busy, our waiter gave us cheerful, prompt, and informed service. We arrived and were seated at time of reservation (5:30) and departed at 6:40 in time for the 7 pm game.
The Calamari appetizer was mostly filler and not great, Salad was okay, my entree shrimp pasta something was okay. It was nothing special with small shrimp. My girlfriend had a vegetarian pasta which she really enjoyed. The wine selection was very good and the olive oil cake dessert was also very good. Overall it is okay.
We go here before a Cavs or Indians game. Arriving 3 hours before a game is the PERFECT time. Over the first hour the moderate noise slowly builds which adds to the excitement. The food is very good. The service is substantial. And the vibe is contagious.
My beef asso bucco was flavorless.
The waiter was attentive without over doing it. Service was properly paced. Chef accommodated a special request from one of my guests. Staff was pleasant.
This is my third time and each experience is better than the previous. The food is amazing as is afig infused bourbon drink which is one of my favorite drinks ever! Always had great service too!
