Wow. An explosion of Peruvian, Chinese, and Japanese fusion in one incredible "Tatami Tasting" meal. A tip: bring an appetite and also shed any preconceived notions about what might or might not make the perfect dish. The tasting allows for an across-the-board experience of dishes you might otherwise never experience. Wait service and meal was exceptional.

Food was delicious, inventive and original. The hamachi seviche was sublime and the special friend rice the BBQ pork was so flavourful and rich. Loved the Peruvian ale. Atmosphere is designed in a very current and colourful way. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Washington that is a foodie.

Host was unfriendly (restaurant isn't busy) and there were some food scraps on the seats right upon being seated. Server was great. Ceviche and pork belly bun were good (not great), but the rest of the menu like concolon (fried rice basically), shu mais and hakao were mediocre at best (poor if taking prices into account). Not expecting perfection, just generally underwhelming.

The food and service was delicious here and it’s great to eat at a restaurant that is affiliated with so much great humanitarian work. The octopus ceviche, quail eggs with gold flakes, and even the push pops for dessert was fantastic. My tase buds were jumping for joy.

I ordered a Pisco Sour and it was prepared exactly correct. I ordered Ceviche Classico and it was a nice experience but was not like anything I encountered during any of my trips to Peru. It consisted of small squares of fish in a very spicy sauce along with beans and nuts I ordered Lomo Saltado and it also was nice but the meat was so tough it was inedible. It came with an assortment of root vegetables in a strange sauce that did enhance them but was not in any way what one would get in the dish if ordered in Peru. The meat was in chunks instead of strips and the entire dish was in a bowl which was in keeping, I guess, with the idea of a blend of Asian and Peruvian cooking. Fusion is always an adventure but sometimes not a good one to go on.

Lovely meal of Szechuan Brussels Sprouts and Shrimp with Wood Ear Mushrooms, fermented black beans and Chinese chives. Billed as spicy, these dishes were mild and flavorful. And don’t miss the pisco sour!!!!

Really enjoyed our dinner. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our server made some great recommendations, and the whole service team was great! It is a pretty loud space with hard surfaces, so for our group of 5 seated fairly close to the entrance at a very large round table with a big lazy susan in the middle, it could be tricky to converse with people on the opposite side of the table. Just something to consider if your group is large or has folks who might have a harder time hearing. You might prefer seating deeper in the restaurant dining areas.

The brunch menu was not as creative and varied in flavors and dishes as other Peruvian places and I didn’t like that we had to have the three drinks on the menu for the brunch drink menu. We were hoping to do 3 straight mimosas but the system is we could only have one and then it changed to a sour for the next course and a Moscow mule type drink for the third. It’s just an odd system since a solid amount of people wouldn’t like all three of those drinks. The ambience felt pretty manufactured and plastic. It was over priced for the serving size and quality. The server was very nice though.
