Great! We had 2 birthdays & an anniversary. They brought us all lovely desserts. The cocktails were fabulous!
We used to be regulars of Chimney Park but with the close of a B&B within walking distance, we stopped going. The food was too good to eat without wine and the B&B eliminated the need for an hour long, potentially impaired, drive. However, we recently found a nearby hotel with a shuttle service so Chimney Park is back on our list. Last Friday, our party of 4 ordered the Chef's Tasting - 4 courses plus desert, every course paired with a very nice wine. Each course is different for each individual so, if you are an agreeable bunch, you actually get to taste 12-16 items from the menu. The meal was fantastic and the wine pairings were flawless. Chimney Park is definitely the best restaurant north of Boulder and a contender for the best in the State of Colorado.
Another outstanding dining adventure. Four of us enjoyed the tasting menu with the wine pairings -- all done extraordinarily well. The chef selections are varied and inventive -- cauliflower - jalapeno soup -- really? --yep, and it was great! Had a marvelous time and many thanks to waitstaff Brian and Chefs John and Caroline and the team. Well done.
Great food, great service. They do all the big and little things right, from keeping water glasses filled and serving delicious bread and butter to amazing salads and entrees. Our only complaint: Too much food!
We love this restaurant and always have a great experience.
Sunday evenings at Chimney Park at particularly enjoyable. The crab cakes were flavorful as always and a great start to a relaxing meal. The grilled Mahi with shaved fennel, apple, raisins, and fingerling potatoes was so delightful paired with a white wine. The fish was grilled perfectly and the presentation allowed one to meander around the plate finding flavorful elements everywhere. Well done.
Good food. Not the best but nicely done! A bit pricey and they choose the tasting options for you. Not the best concept for this restaurant
We had a great dinner! This is go to place for a very nice dinner that is always fantastic tasting with excellent service. Not a cheap place to eat but worth the price.
Food was outstanding
My adult Son was asked to remove his hat...
We had a delicious meal with excellent service from Brian. Drinks were fab. We all loved our entrees. Hard to believe such a small town has such a great restaurant and chef.
Excellent in every way and have already recommended to several people!
Outstanding food and experience. Recommend the 5 course chef selection.
Had a great time! The food and wine were amazing! Bryan our server was charming!
Consistently great. Food selection is varied. Service is outstanding! Ambiance is outstanding!
As always, Chimney Park didn’t disappoint. Everything is handled with utmost professionalism and it’s a restaurant you will want to visit time and time again!
A wonderful date night out with my wife! Service was impeccable, and food was delicious!
Started with the beet salad, which was almost too pretty to eat. Beets were perfectly done, with just the right amount of texture.
For the entree, I went with the Wagyu NY Strip. The strip was melt-in-your-mouth tender and juicy. The side this evening was Potatoes Fondant, which I had never had. Very true to the description, and had a great flavor and texture. I went with their whole grain mustard Demi glacé, which paired perfectly with both meat and potatoes.
And not to be missed, have a Signature Cocktail at the bar! Fun group at the bar, and bartender very knowledgeable and a fantastic mixologist.
Excellent food, atmosphere and service!
Jason and his team do not disappoint! We had a fabulous meal and the service was incredible.
Always a great experience at Chimney Park. My companion & I both had the chef's tasting menu, with wine pairings. We loved the chefs creativity & thoughtfulness. Tell them what you like and/or don't like & they will design a meal just for you. We always enjoy our meals here & will no doubt return soon!
Amazing food. Up to the best standards I've ever had
We really enjoyed our dinner at Chimney Park. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and the food, cocktails, service and ambiance were outstanding. Special thanks to our server Emily who was professional and knowledgeable and really made the night.
The selection of entrees was not what we expected. Farm raised bass did not seem like a good selection for a fish entrée. My husband had the NY strip steak and he enjoyed his meal, along with potatoes and onions and green beans. I had the butternut squash soup which was good. I was surprised that the caesar salad was not satisfactory. I did not care for the dressing.
This was not our first time to Chimney Park - and it continues to impress. The food was phenomenal, as always! My husband had the Pheasant and I had the fish of the day, a striped bass. Both dishes were out of this world! Wine list was perfect and Service (by Abby) was great. The only reason I did not give 5 stars on ambience was that we were seated in an alcove area instead of the main dining room. We’d made reservations, but were told that the main dining room was “full”. The alcove - while intimate - was a bit chilly and we were the only ones in there for some time before we were joined by 2 other couples late in our meal. However - this will NOT stop us from coming again! We will just make sure we request the main dining room.
The food was amazing. Everyone was friendly. Our serving was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly.
Highly recommended! The chef's tasting menu was fantastic and the wine pairings were perfection.
Unfortunately we did not have a good experience, based on previous reviews we had high expectations, the hostess told us the wrong price for the tasting menu, my husband was asked to remove his hat so apparently there is a dress code, the octopus was fabulous, the lobster bisque had an overpowering burnt taste, the salad was good, the entrees were way under seasoned, the steak was burnt on the outside, the scallops were cooked perfectly, the bread was good, the waiter was nice and helpful, but overall an underwhelming experience
Though not mind-blowing, it was very good, and thought-provoking!
We eat at Chimney Park two or three times a year for special occasions. This time, Valentine’s Day did not disappoint. As always the food was phenomenal! The service is next to none and the wine pairings are inspired and very satisfying. We love Chimney and it’s near overly attentive staff and will continue to return as often as we’re able in the future. Thank you Chimney Park staff and management for yet another memorable dining experience.
Pricy but worth it once in a while.
Great food, wonderful service, would recommend too anyone!!!!!!
My crab cake appetizer was wonderful, the ribeye was good but not fantastic. Others in our party were very happy with everything.
Really enjoy this uniquely upscale restaurant in Windsor with an incredible menu and the refined, quietly attentive service one enjoys.
As we have become accustomed Chimney Park is a "go to" up scale restaurant in Northern Colorado. When we desire an excellent dining experience---we head to Chimney Park.
The chef's work their magic and never fail to come up with a gourmet meal----but at a price that is creeping up and up.
My wife's meal of roasted vegetables in a balsamic reduction was very, very pleasing to her.
My ribeye was just a tiny but overcooked for my liking---by the time I finished the steak --the last several pieces were overcooked for medium rare.
I made our reservations on here at least 2 weeks in advanced for our anniversary dinner . We get to the restaurant , gave them my name and time of the reservation . . . " I don't find your name in here , I don't see any reservation for you . " REALLY !!!! She kept looking . . . NOPE nothing !!!!! I had even received an email for me to confirm that we would be there for our reservation at 6:30 Feb. 9 . I CONFIRMED IT !! Nope nothing , no record ZIP !!! Then . . . well , I guess I will have to just give you someone else's table. So , we were seated, had a wonderful meal . Our waiter was great . Very disappointed in the NO Reservation on the books and just glad we were able to be seated and that they weren't jam packed and not able to seat us . The menu online also needs to be kept up to date , as there were things on there that are not available . EDIT : Since writing this review I have been contacted by Jason Shaeffer . I was told there was a 'glitch' in the computer system and this is why our reservation wasn't showing up . He had contacted Open Table about this and apologized to me . I told him we LOVE the restaurant and that the food is phenomenal and we will be in again soon !!
Pains me to say this but Chimney Park may be slipping a bit. We've been going to Chimney Park since it first opened and have always enjoyed wonderful meals. Prices are on the high side but generally worth it for the quality of the food. Went there this past Saturday night and left disappointed. These may sound like nitpicks but for a $250 meal for two, everything should be pretty close to perfect. Had the bison tartare for an appetizer and it was delicious but the egg on top was overdone and the yolk barely ran out, which takes away a lot from the overall flavor. Also had the foie gras which was good but not the normal exquisite. My wife and I both had a tomato bisque which was excellent. I had the rack of lamb for entree which again was good, but didn't blow my mind. My wife had the prosciutto wrapped pheasant breast which was the real disappointment of the night. Expecting a juicy pan seared breast of pheasant what we got was more like a pheasant sausage that tasted like luncheon meat. Very disappointing. Maybe we just hit an off night but I would urge the folks at CP to not rest on their laurels and recommit themselves to making sure every dish that comes out of their kitchen is worthy of the price and reputation of what is normally the best restaurant in Northern Colorado.
The only problem that i would change is the unisex bathrooms. they should have a separate bathroom for women and men.
Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary!! The food and service was amazing! We will be back for sure!
We recently spent a Saturday evening celebrating my husband’s birthday at Chimney Park. What a wonderful experience!
We had a 7 o’clock reservation, and were seated immediately. (There are a few high top tables for two in the bar area for more casual dining.) We were seated in the main dining room at a table for four. There is only one table for two, tucked away in the corner. (So, if you are looking for a private dinner you may want to request that corner table.)
We did not order an appetizer, but someone from the kitchen brought out a small one that was smoked bass on a wafer prior to our salad course. It was yummy. We decided to split a salad, and it was plenty for us. But, if you are looking for a larger dinner salad, you may want to order your own. My husband ordered the fillet of ribeye and I ordered the scallops. So, each of us had “surf and turf” after sharing. Both entrées were outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the scallops melted in your mouth. We shared the Black forest flourless chocolate cake for dessert. It was beautifully plated with happy birthday written in chocolate along with whip cream, cherry ice cream and cherries. A delicious ending to an awesome dinner. Highly recommend for your special occasion.
The food and service were amazing. They were very knowledgeable and careful with my gluten allergy.
Best restaurant in Colorado period. Just amazing!!
