The food was good and the set up is really nice, but the staff kept interrupting all the time. There were 3 waiters all the time around us forcing us to order more food. They didn't let us have a normal conversation because they would ask if we need anything or change our plates that still had food on them without us even asking for it. We were for sure not the only customers that went through it that night and also saw reviews in different websites that mentioned the same problem. I would not recommend this place just because of how uncomfortable it was.
Service was excellent. Bilingual staff, professional and courteous. We had our 3yr old with us and they accommodated as much as possible. We ordered the churrasco and parrilla, each cooked to perfection. Price was avg for NYC- 2 adults with no alcohol runs you about $100 with apps and dessert.
Portions are printed on the menu and they are prepared to allow sharing, including entrees. We shared 8 ounces of sweetbreads for our main course. Delicious.
Excellent food and service! The staff was very knowledgable and helpful. The food (filet mignon, mushrooms, mashed potatoes) were delicious.
A really nice place. Staff are extremely friendly
Waiter wasn't very good, food wasn't very good. overpriced. not much reason to return. I have been to the one on the west side also and had the same feeling after I ate.
One of our favorite restaurants in New York
Always delicious food and great service
This is an amazing place. One of the prettiest spaces in NYC. And the food lives up to the space. Wonderful service.
Food was fantastic. Try multiple appetizers...each has its own uniqueness, but all were great. Steaks are prepared steakhouse quality. Nice quiet atmosphere where you can have an actual conversation. I'll be back!!
Not only the service was perfect, but the food was fantastic. Just to go back.
I really loved the service and the food. The appetizers were delicious - especially the calamari. We ordered steak, lamb and fish and each dish was had a great flavor. The only criticism is that I have were that two of our steaks were a bit over cooked for medium rare. However, they remade them to our specification and were really kind about it. The space is beautiful and everyone in our party of 9 had a blast. Would recommend.
Beautiful spot with excellent service. My only gripe is paying $16 for a glass of wine that I can buy in NYC FOR $13 a bottle. Makes you feel like a fool. Quality of the meat is not quite up to par with the prices they charge
We chose this place because we loved that happy hour on the web site said it was till 8. But when we got there it indeed ended at 7....but the owner was gracious enough to allow us to have the happy hour because of the mistake. We enjoyed our time sitting at the bar.... JOSE WAS AWESOME!!! HE WAS VERY ATTENTIVE AND GREAT WITH RECOMMENDATIONS! His drinks were excellent! Because of how we were treated we will be returning very soon. They have an extensive menu.... Empanadas are delicious and their dessert menu, I could of tried everything!!
The meal was outstanding and the service was even better, they stayed open late for us and honored the times posted online. Highly recommend for great Argentinian food in the city!
I was there on a snowy night, so the restaurant was about half empty. So no surprise that least during the night I was there, it was great for conversation. The tables are well-spaced, and there was almost a blessed hush to the place.
The space is downright elegant, in an old townhouse. The service excellent. The cuisine was typical Argentine. If I may be permitted two small cavils, it seemed to me that the menu was just a little bit too pricey, and the room was a trifle too dark. I needed to use my I-phone flashlight to read it and I noticed the man at the next table doing the same.. But all-in-all, I had a very good experience there.
A wonderful dining experience in all respects: excellent Argentinian cuisine; beautiful dining room where you can actually have a pleasant conversation; friendly service and very fair prices.
Enjoyable meal that was very good in all three aspects of food, ambiance and service. It is a re-purposed townhouse that allows for a variety of seating options from very private tables for two to larger groups in the main room. So, it is good for many different types of occasion. We had the Lobster Bisque, Oysters, Ribeye, and Sea Bass (Toothfish). The Sea Bass was excellent but the quality of the Ribeye was beneath top steakhouse standards (nicely cooked though) and my Manhattan had way too much bitters (so many bartenders do this!) but, all in, a solid culinary experience.
The food was phenomenal but one thing that got to me and I see other reviews is that many waiters come to the table which is really annoying I would have liked to have dinner in piece without having different waiters coming to the table. It was nice and quiet on the side I was on but did hear music somewhere else which I would have liked to hear as well.
An elegantly decorated restaurant with upscale Argentine food that is not outrageously expensive. It is being added to my playlist.
Excellent meal with excellent service!! Reminded us of our honeymoon in Uruguay and Argentina.
Food very good.
Food here is always great although a little on the expensive side. Wonderful professional service staff
Great food, good service
Wonderful from A to Z
Delicious food in a warm and welcoming ambiance - exceptional service with courteous waiters.
Fabulous place staff are really attentive and informative, food was excellent and it’s a beautiful setting.
Outstanding in every way. Will be our first choice when we return to NYC in the future.
I was so excited to have our team lunch here for our project celebration. I made reservations early and called early about vegetarian options. Upon arrival we saw that we were one of three tables filled, with ours being the largest group. After nealy 20 minutes I had to ask the waiter to order. We placed our orders by 12:50. By 1:30 our appetizers finally came out and they were tasty. But having planned a 2pm wrap up we got nervous and several of us started canceling our 2pm meetings. By 1:50 we started asking the waiter how much longer ...he said a few minutes ...this went on until by 2:20 I had to physically get up to the kitchen to see what was going on. Again three more meetings cancelled. Our food didn’t come out till 2:30. Two hours after we first sat down. What did we order? Chicken salad, grilled steak and a few vegetarian pastas. The pastas came last and were so plain and poorly assembled our teammates couldn’t eat it. Overall everyone felt the food was a huge letdown. Either lukewarm, over seasoned or under seasoned. Just all over the place. The calliflower sides were burnt, not caramelized or toasted...burnt. Huge disappointment after reading the other reviews. It’s like we got a totally different chef and staff. Why do I know all the timelines? Because when it takes two hours to get your main course you look at your watch constantly.
The staff was phenomenal and attentive. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious. The decor was romantic, cozy and classy...very lovely place. The drinks were pricey but very good, strong but not overbearing. the bartender was amazingly funny and friendly.
Would definitely recommend this place to friends and will plan on revising.
This place should be more popular than it is. Wonderful ambience, tables are spaced apart nicely, lighting is dim but not dark, decor is understated and classy. Warm and friendly servers. Excellent Argentine food. On the pricey side but not unusual for the area.
A piece of Buenos Aires in NYC, great food, great service in a NY/BUE state of mind
Amazing food in a beautiful space. The specials are not to be missed. Chef Carlos takes the time to greet every diner and engage in conversation as well as follow up on your meal choices!
We will certainly be back and back again.
What a gem! The only thing that was better than the food was the outstanding service. The wait staff explained the menu very well and made excellent recommendations. From the Sazerac Manhattan, through dinner and desert, the team never let my water glass get empty and quickly brought another Manhattan when that got low. Chimichurri Grill will now be a regular stop on my visits to New York.
excellent food and wine, the staff is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the mixed grill does not include sweetbreads (as most mixed grills I have had do) and the prices for the appetizers the wines are a little high. The flavors of all of the foods is excellent.
Excellent place, nice decor, great service. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is that the portions were small and main dishes did not come with side orders, that needed to be paid on the side.
Elegant food, unusual offerings, beautiful setting, courteous service, always a pleasurable and delicious experience to dine there!
To me this is the epitome of fine dining : the ambience, the service, and, of course the food. We started with 2 appetizers, the goat-cheese ravioli and the crispy polenta. Wow. The tastes were delicious and the plates were generous enough for the 4 of us. I shared a rib-eye steak whichwhich I can't resist ordering was juicy and delicious. The whole bronzino another dining partner ordered was also perfectly prepared snd presented. The fourth person had the paparadelle with meat sauce and loved it. We shared several veggie sides (my favorite being the burnt cauliflower. A nice bottle of cabernet and a few desserts and espresso rounded out the meal. Service was xuperb, attentive, and friendly. And let's just say we didn't break the bank as we might have in some other restaurants of this caliber. I highly recommend it.
We had an outstanding evening. The hospitality of the staff along with the freshness and quality of the food makes this place special.
Luckily the food outshines the service if the service was better would really be stellar. Food saved the day would still go back despite messing up order and over cooking meat but it was still delicious.
Enjoyed the first time we went. Very disappointed the second time. Food dried out or overcooked. One appetizer needed to be sent back as uneatable. Overpriced for below average food, even though the returned item was deleted from bill.
