Then, there is the food, which is described by many as “quintessential Porteño fare.” Alicia and Chef Carlos personally select the ingredients for the menu daily from the early morning markets, seeking out the most interesting and fresh items for the specials and always keeping the menus seasonal and deeply rooted into Argentine tradition.

Just AMAZING. Service, food, everything
My husband said it was the best hangar steak he’d ever had. The sea bass was delicious and so were the desserts. Great service, too. :-)
The table we sat at was so tiny that I didn’t order a water to save space for my glass of wine and appetizer. The service was extremely slow in the beginning they didn’t even offer us water or bring a menu until 10 mins later. There were empty tables so it didn’t look that busy but the waiter did apologize for the wait. He was nice but barely came to check up on us. The beet salad, grilled octopus and ny strip my boyfriend and i ordered was mediocre. I’ve had better steak at plenty of other places. The fries were probably the best and that was what got us full. It was not worth a $170 meal and I would not recommend or come back here. Even the chimichurri was nothing special. I really wanted to like this restaurant as I chose it but was not satisfied with the food.
This is a neighborhood gem that is also worth a trip out of the way for superb meats and marvelous wine selections from South America. The service is also one of the reasons I look forward to each visit. Treat yourself!
It was a rainy chilly night, they had open tables, but insisted we sit in the front by the door & window. When I said its too cold the waiter said no its warm & I told him I made reservations & there are free tables. He said they aren't available. I understand he wanted us in front for ppl to see & come in, but those tables were open the whole time.
The service was horrible.
I paid in cash, but when I asked for change for a $20 to leave a tip on my $60 bill, he went around asking all the servers for change & nobody had apparently, which was too bad because I had to have my friend put my tip on his card...I thought it odd a restaurant wouldn't have cash in the til.
Food was over priced & underwhelming.
Although this restaurant was highly rated by OpenTable and TripAdvisor, there are much better steakhouses in the city. The Argentinian wine was good and reasonably priced. I have had better, less expensive steaks elsewhere. They did a good job on the fries and sausage.
Great Place, very small . Romantic with exceptional service. Food was great for the price point near midtown. We went pre garden concert. Right down 9th avenue to back entrance of the MSG.
This place is fantastic! The food is delicious; the churrasco was very tender and melt in your mouth good. Save some space for dessert as well! The restaurant is small so make sure to get a reservation, great place for a nice date.
Really enjoyed the restaurant. Perfect for pre-theatre dinner. Steaks were excellent.
The food and place was good but the staff was a little rude to my friend and I. The menu said you had to either get an entree or 2 appetizer per person which we did but the staff kept repeating it as if we had not order enough food. Kind of make us feel uncomfortable
Booked a table for 10 on a Friday night, none of us had ever been there but it was convenient for everyone to get to and they didn’t require a credit card to hold the reservation - a plus for us since 1 or 2 of us were “maybe’s”. We are so glad we came here as we had an absolutely fantastic night! The service was great, we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The wait staff was very attentive to us for drinks and the food was delicious - came out promptly too. Its a very cozy little restaurant, was perfect for a cold December night, a real hidden gem!
We found this place to go before a show. The food was excellent, the service was above and beyond, and they were able to get us in and out quickly without making us feel rushed. Its a little place but we did not feel squeezed in at all.
Excellent. Small and beautiful place. Amazing beefs!
Everything was absolutely delish. From octopus and spinach salad to sweetbreads & filet mignon. Good selection of wines.
Love Chimichurri Grill. We celebrated friend Birthday and we had a great time.
The food was delicious and the service perfect.
Great venue close to Times Square, but out of the main foot traffic areas. Food was delish, small restaurant with tight tables, but service made up for it! Well done.
Birthday dinner was perfect! Great service and excellent food quality.
Intimate location. Very small. Personal service. Amazing food.
Late post-show meal. Uncrowded. Grilled oysters, fresh green simple salad, and an 8 oz. aged grass-fed chop all perfectly proportioned, presented and priced. The wine list includes some rarer but affordable Argentine wines that accompanied the food like a good date. Service was personal, but I think not just because it was not crowded, but because the chef and the proprietress were interested in their patrons. In all, I’ll be back whenever I’m in the West 40’s.
Awesome experience, great food and ambience
I love Argentinian cuisine and found Chimchurri Grill by chance, while looking for a dinner spot before a Broadway show. My friends and I ordered the Churrasco Argentino and Vacio a la Gaucho, for dinner. Both were cooked as ordered. We shared the Papas Frites and were pleasantly surprised. The fries had just the right amount of garlic and parsley. The Chorizo appetizer were excellent, particularly the Spanish Red. I'm adding this restaurant to my list of GOTO places.
Excellent food and service. The portions were large and the meals were very well prepared.
Broadway night. Fast dinner. Way too expensive
The cuisine is an American take on Argentinian delights. Small and intimate, everything looked like something I wanted to eat. I was with my wife and while the restaurant is small, we were able to converse easily with one another. The service was great. We have eaten here now twice.
Small but intimate place. Staff lovely. Food excellent. Wanted sangria. Not on menu but staff made it for me anyway. Nice.
Everything was great. Service a bit slow due to an overwhelming amount of people.
It was great. It not prefext
the food was excellent and so was the service. The steaks were cooked as ordered , The sauces were incredible. The salad was very good and did not have a lot of dressing. The cappuccino was very good too.
We dined with a friend visiting from Barcelona, he was impressed.
Food was prompt and very tasty. The waiters where very forecoming. Nice atmosphere . At time it got a little bit noisy, but it was ok . The price was fair.
It was a good experience… The food was excellent… A tad pricey for what it was…
Extremely compact space which makes for an intimate dining experience. Staff as very attentive. We would go again.
Very good food and service.
Had ribey that was a lot of food. But tasty.
The Argentine food was better than most of my meals in Buenos Aires! Wine was also excellent and the wait staff, host, etc. were all attentive and helpful.
Enjoyed birthday celebration!
Intimate and authentic Argentinian grille. Excellent food and friendly staff! The empanadas are delicious and the skirt steak and the Lomo was tender and well prepared. For desert we had their cream puff special and it was light and fluffy and for my birthday, the waiters put a candle on the desert and sang happy birthday! I definitely recommend it.
After visiting Buenos Aires years ago, we found our food heaven in the exceptional food of this place. It is exceptional in every way. Please go there if you wish to celebrate the true and absolute joy of Argentinean food. The chef, with whom I have spoken to many times while there, is amazing.
This is one of our favorite go to places, great food, the meat options are amazing, and the Dulce de Leche Crepes, the best. Authentic Argentinian food.
Great food, drinks and service! It was a great find!
A small restaurant that you might easily miss but well worth stopping by. Steaks were exceptionally good and service was a perfect mix of friendly and professional. We got great advice on our choices and wine pairings. Dessert was probably not needed after the mains but we had a go and the chocolate creme brule with cayenne was incredible.
We both loved the old-school, friendly service and the authentic argentine food, especially the fantastic empanadas. The tables are a bit small, but we felt comfortable with the spacing and the noise level. It's great to enjoy such delicious cuisine in a small space.
