The food was absolutely amazing and the presentation was gorgeous! I had a piece of wild salmon with a mango chili glaze over whipped cauliflower and potatoes with roasted red peppers and black beans. No one flavor stood out and it was absolutely divine. The prices were high. The entree was $45. Dinner for two with drinks, wine and tip topped $350. I have never been to Utah before and they have interesting laws regarding alcohol. Drinks can only have 1.5 oz of liquor and you cannot order an extra shot. I ordered a margarita which was about 16oz and tasted like a 'virgin' margarita. Switched to wine...

Dined at Chimayo with friends during a ski trip to Park City. Food and service were excellent. Interesting wine list from perspective that there were many less mainstream selections available. We had an Albarino and a Garnacha from Spain that were very good, went well with our food, and reasonably priced. Only slight negative is that it was a bit noisy for a higher end restaurant.

Great Valentines Day dinner by fireplace, everyone was jealous of our table. Fondue and Elk were 10/10. Perfect spot.

My husband and I and another couple were there for Valentine's Day. Everything was wonderful except the prices. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, drinks, service. Just be prepared to pay way more than reasonable.

Beautiful decor (upstairs is better) and delicious food. We had the calamari and a Chile relleno for appetizers and shared the Utah trout fajita for our entree. Many of the entrees are suitable for splitting, which helps offset the $40-50 price tag for entrees. Overall, I think it is a great experience and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately after years of being a patron, I will have to downgrade Chimayo. It took over an hour to receive one entree.. The duck enchiladas were tasty however overdone and tough, the side vegetable was extremely salty. The appetizer of quacamole tasted much like a common commercial brand with lemon juice added. The service was good however attentive and pleasant.

We booked their last seating, a 10'00 reservation, as we were coming directly from the airport. We were delayed and unlike most restaurants, Chimayo very accommodating, didn't rush us out, service was great, the food exceptional, the wine list good value and the prices were very fair. My son had the tortilla soup appetizer and the Duck Enchilada both were great, the Duck was exceptional. everything was great. d

Big issues jamming a group of 6 in a 4 person booth. Comfort sucked for my guests.
Only one toilet for the men in the back of the basement causing lineups to wait
Food and service was very good but would not recommend or return because of the two issues above

Liked the food and the service, but next time I would wait for a main floor table. The basement was cramped, kind of loud and warm and I would avoid it if possible.
I probably would have given a higher rating

We try to get to this resto every time we are in Park City. Imaginative take on southwestern food. Don't miss the queso flamedo and trout fajitas.

$50 for a small fish that was over cooked. Mentioned to staff and nothing was done. She did offer to bring something else but I told her it was ok but wanted them to be aware. I would not have said anything if it was under $30. Location and ambiance are great. Margarita way too sweet.

Over all food was good which is what counts. The restaurant is way too tight and cramped Dim, and dingy. Not really sure where the Mexican / Latin theme comes into play as the flavors are more eclectic, New American. Groups can expect long waits behind other large groups. Go in expecting a 2 - 3 hour dining experience.

Love the sophisticated Southwest decor of the restaurant. You’ll think you’re in Santa Fe rather than Park City. And, the food and service are equally special. On a recent visit, the elk tenderloin and duck enchiladas were standouts.

I must say I was bit disappointed in this restaurant. I had high hopes but the food wasn't very good. My dish was very salty and appetizers were mediocre at best. The worst part is you were required to order 3 dishes for $85 per person (special Sundance menu) and I really was not able to eat that much food. The restaurant decor was very cute and cozy...but not enough to return here.

Poor choice given all other options in town. We attended during a price fix 3 course time for $85. This was way to expensive for what we got. We had to place our order for all 3 items in advance and the second item arrived before we were 1/2 done with the first course and the third main course arrived immediately after the 2nd. I think they were trying to run us out in 45 minutes even at over $130/person with drinks, etc. on a special birthday night. Waiter was tired and not helpful, just kept apologizing about the quick service saying it was the kitchen's fault. cleared each of our plates as each was just barely done and asked several times before we were done and we had to keep saying we were not down yet. Food was average and it seemed like they were trying too hard while missing on basic food quality. I suggest you try other dining options.

We love Chimayo. This year we were surprised by the lack of flavor in the food we always loved in the past. Seemed to have no spark that we remembered. Entire dinner seemed to just be going through the motions and the food was bland. The service this year was also surprisingly poor. We have always have had a server very knowledgable about the incredible wine list and menu. This year the server seemed to be elsewhere. Didn't seem to even like the food there or know much about wine in general. And we poured our own wine because he wasn't anywhere to be found. For dessert the churros were always a favorite but this year they came out cold and soggy. We couldn't believe it and we decided this was the last time we would go back to Chimayo.

Food was Terrible! They jacked up the prices due to Sundance and didn't even tell you they had changed to pre-fix. Everything tasted like pre made cafeteria food. It truly was inedible.
I am going to dispute my cc charges. 500.00 bill 4 people. 85.00 per person and tats no drinks, tip, etc. Just a horrible experience. we would never return!

Chimayo was a great find! They got us in earlier than our reservation was set for and then set us at a perfect table for two right next to their fireplace. The food was amazing and our waitress gave us the perfect amount of attention to allow us to enjoy our evening without being rushed. She also gave us the recipe for their awesome cilantro dipping sauce. This place is totally worth a visit!

I have given this a 1 star overall but 4-5 stars for most areas. Our evening was spoilt by the staff allowing waiting people to stand over tables while people were sitting trying to enjoy their meals. I felt very sorry for a couple trying to enjoy their meal at a table for 2 in front of a cosy fire, they were surrounded by waiting groups of people. Very poor show and the staff were aware of the issue but did nothing.
