It was great as always.
This is my favorite restaurant in Tysons corner.
Great evening out for a birthday dinner!
Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience at Chima. I had a reservation for 7 people on a Tuesday night. We were sat close to the bar, which would normally be fine, but there were a ton of people in the bar that were very loud. We could barely hear each other. We asked to be seated away from the noise and, despite a somewhat empty restaurant, they said they couldn't accommodate us elsewhere. When you're paying close to $500 for a meal, you hope that you get excellent service, but that was not the case for my party.
Excellent service excellent food. Customer service was excellent salad bar was delicious I really enjoy the environment.
Birthday good food
Great food, grilled salmon was excellent. We were satisfied with just the fish and salad bar.
The food and service was absolutely amazing. There was so many options on the market bar as well as passed entrees and sides delivered to your table. Everyone was incredibly friendly. We went to celebrate mine and my brother's birthday and received a complimentary dessert.
Expensive, but very good food and service
Great Food, Excellent Service & very nice Ambiance
We have chosen China to celebrate several of our wedding anniversaries - and surely will again. Thanks!
This was our first time at Chima and we won't go back. The food was good but not great. The side dishes were cold when they were served. Our waiter greeted us and advised that he and his two other waiters would be taking care of us. However, after taking our order and delivering our drinks our waiter completely disappeared. The other two waiters did not stop by once or twice to check on us but we in no way received the service we were seeing them give to the other tables around us. No ever came back to ask if we wanted anything else to drink or refill our water glasses. We had to flag down a waiter to even request our bill and then it took them over 10 minutes to bring the bill and then another 10 to come back for the payment.
Our dining companion discovered a couple of days later than she could not find her credit card and called the restaurant to see if they may still have it. She did call around dinner time but the response she received from the person who answered the phone was "They were busy and did not have time to look for it now".
The dinner was a Birthday Celebration and they did bring a free dessert for that guest. Which by the way we (the other diners) were not asked if we wanted.
Overall not a great experience for dining and not worth the $55.00 per person not including drinks or dessert.
I normally go to fogo de chao in DC but with my friend's recommendation I decided try. So my party was 4 adults and 2 children, and upon arrival we sat at table and waited for server. It was busy night since it was Saturday night but 1st server that we got asked if it was first time dining at the location. Of course it was so we said yes. However as soon as we said he walked away. ... I was like wth? And it took 5 min for another server to to get to us and we explained that we been to other Brazilian steakhouse and we would like to get meat started, and he said we need token to flip and showed it to us, and we said we know and we need token. He went on and on saying that they will take care of us but still didn't give us token. I was like wtf? And my wife finally got upset and asked him that we would like to get token right now, and at that point another 5 min has passed and he went to go get token across the hall... from this it was just down hill. Meat server was no where to be found after I finished 1st meat, when they come out of kitchen they fly pass my table. Meat was okay, more variety than fogo de chao, quality was below fogo de chao. Well, my friend was comparing Chima to Baltimore fogo de chao and I know bmore location sucks, as well as tysons fogo. Bottom line is my 1st experience at Chima at tysons was no good and they won't get 2nd chance because I will stick to Fogo de Chao in DC.
Outstanding service, excellent food, energetic atmosphere...no better place to spend a Saturday evening with family and friends!
Great place for quality food. Must go if you enjoy meat 👍🏻
Very good. Friendly
Can't say enough about the service. OUTSTANDING!!!! The lead waiter was very attentive, never an empty glass, plates were removed as soon as we were done eating and a clean plate provided. Constant attention from other staff members. Over and above what I was expecting. Will come back and will recommend.
So so yummy! All of the staff were so attentive. Great place if you enjoy eating meat. Good for a date if you don't mind eating a ton. You may want to go for a nice long walk after dinner. Everything was great!
The meat were great and the salad bar was Amazing!!
I dined at Chima's Tysons Corner three times now. This was the first time we had to have our Brazilian Limeade drinks returned twice because they weren't sweet enough. It wasn't until the manager on the floor requested our drinks that they were satisfactory. My husband and I decided not to return again, and I'm saddened by this choice.
It's becoming too expensive, maybe price it a little less than $54/per. Also, dress code should be enhanced. Too many wearing athletic wear....
Easter Brunch. As usual great food (salad bar++ plus steaks, chicken and salmon.). They had a very limited he selection (kind of disappointing. And no alternative non-dairy milks for the coffee. Service very attentive
Was amazing the food the service was on point would go back over an over!!
Outstanding service! The entire table loved the meal!
Simply amazing! Came to DC to visit my uncle for the weekend. After doing a lot of online research I decided that Chima’s was definitely one of the places we would spend some time at for a meal. Wow! All the good reviews were correct! The foot was fresh, the meats were perfect, and the wine...delish! They have this decanter for wine that was so impressive I am now going to buy one for myself!
Great food in a cosy atmosphere. Nice and friendly staff.
We saw the server when we sat down for drinks and next time I saw her when we asked for dessert menu. I couldn’t get a refill during my dinner. We ordered coffees waited 30mins and no coffee but she brought the check. When I asked for the coffee we ordered 30 mins ago she was telling ok let me add the coffees to check. So waited for the coffee another 15mins!! I come here all the time but my last 2-3 visits was the same with these issues!!
Overall, experience was great. The ambiance was comfortable and staff are friendly.
But, I am a little disappointed, on my reservation note, I noted that it was my husbabd’s birthday and requested for a cake with candle for him but nothing came!
My experience at Chima was nothing but amazing, from the beginning to the end. My mom took me for my birthday, and everyone was so attentive, caring and happy. I cant wait to return to Chima and let all my friends know about this wonderful restaurant!
A great experience! The service was great second to only the food. While there we had two waiters tending to our table so we wanted for nothing! The food was amazing and was always coming. If you don’t flip the card they have at each table the food will pile up... but it’s so good! The pineapple especially was breath takingly good as well. Great for a date, or special occasion. But for the price definitely not a casual dinner spot.
The food was great. Servers were ok. The hostess not so great. Didnt have a good attitude. Not very welcoming. Since it was our first time she sat us and said nothing. Had to wait over 10 min before someone actually approached our table. Once someone finally came over, different servers attended us.
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent energy, and most importantly: Nothing but good vibes! Food is very flavourful and fresh! Trust me, you will not be disappointed! :)
We had a great time with new and old friends. The food and wine were excellent as was the service. I highly recommend Chima for any occasion.
Excellent, AS ALWAYS. Looking forward to my next visit :)
I had been invited to Chima for my birthday dinner by a Brazilian friend and was amazed at the ambiance, selection of the cold buffet, the wonderful soup and other hot sides. But the best part were the gauchos coming around with a different selection of delectable meats cut right in front of you; each selection cut to your preference and the amounts given. I wanted my grandchildren to experience this wonderful culinary delight and they had a wonderful time. We will certainly be back again.
Quick service, pleasant experience, delicious food.
Nice, fun experience! The good was great! The only issue was the rude valet workers but other than that we had a great time 🤗
The food is fantastic no doubt about it but it was hit or miss on the service. We probably easily went 10 minutes without someone stopping by our table and we had six people all with coins up for more food. Not one that came by the whole night had filet mignon too which I thought was odd. If I’m gonna drop $100 per person I want sick service. Just didn’t get it that night.
Third time to CHIMA and love it more each time! Food is so good with so many options. Meat is so tender and highest quality. Would definitely recommend to all. You have to go at least once. Pricey but worth it 100%
Food was expensive but really good. Lots of variety. Wait staff was super helpful and very friendly.
