Had a reservation for 8 pm, showed up at 7:40 to check-in and the host told me that they would call me at 8 pm. They never called my cell or name so I waited at the bar until 8:15 pm to talk with the host. They couldn’t tell me when they could seat my group so we decided to leave. They won’t get any business from me again.

Was fine over all. Had a 615 reservation but didn't get a table until 715. Makes me wonder why I needed the reservation in the first place.

We had to wait an hour beyond our reservation time to be seated. Food and service both not nearly as good as usual. I think they were rushing the food and the service was tired!

Service was less than exceptional. Silverware and glasses were not clean. We had to ask for our drinks twice after they were ordered. Service should have been much better for the price. Doesn’t compare to other Brazilian steakhouses that we have been to.

AC wasn't working well in restaurant, meat selections were few and took forever. Drink orders also took about 20 minutes. Not a great experience especially since they knew exactly how many people and tables were reserved and just not prepared.

Waiters were not very attendant during meal on Father’s Day, but understandably because it’s packed. But it was a little frustrating to sit around waiting after eating to get the dessert menu and later on the check. Good food though.

We went there to celebrate Father’s Day. & since it will be the first time for VA to open without social distancing & wearing of face mask after the pandemic the place was a little crowded. Tables were place near each other. There was not a lot of choices of meat. I didn’t see salmon. If you are a frequent diner you will know what is missing so we need to us our server what we want. Our server was superb he was always there to ask what else do we need. But we will still come back again.

Service was really sub optimal maybe because of the sheer amount of people around at the wake of covid restrictions ending. Some meat cuts were not delivered to our table and had to specifically request multiple times. The head waiter assigned to our table wasn't around most of the time and had to wave him down when we needed something. Wasn't asked once if everything was going well or if we needed anything.

There were multiple tables with big crowds and one of them were incredibly obnoxious and loud. It killed the vibe, felt like some mall food court and not a restaurant you're paying a good amount of money to enjoy your food with your family and friends.

We always enjoy eating at Chima. Unfortunately tonight, since the place was pretty busy our waiter didn’t give us the time of day. First, it took him about 10 minutes from when we sat down for him to come and greet us. Throughout the night we had to ask other waiters for refills on drinks, additional sides and even plates and silverware because we could never get his attention. This isn’t typical of China’s service because it’s usually great. I felt the need to write a review because we did not have an enjoyable experience tonight compared to when we typically eat there.

The food is what you would expect if you have been to this type of restaurant before. But it was so loud and so crowded that we ended up leaving before dessert because we could not hold a conversation. And this was after we turned down a table next to a table for 20. Will probably not go back. I could have spent the same amount of money and had a much less stressful evening elsewhere.

Excellent atmosphere, if a bit loud. Food was a bit salty but service was excellent. We had a reservation and had to wait a few minutes to get seated, but it wasn’t a big deal. Note that they do NOT validate parking, which is unfortunate. They also gave us a free cheesecake for a birthday, which was a nice touch.

Overall outstanding My favorite Brazilian Buffett to attend. I live closer to fogo de chao but I rather drive 2 hours to chimas. The mash potatoes are so creamy. The meat cooked to perfection and omg that pineapple was to die for. The only negative was I had turkey wrapped in bacon and filet mignon before an it was missing on last nights menu. But it didn’t take from the experience at all. Will continue to rave about this restaurant.

Chima Tyson's Corner is at the top of their game! June 12 saw the family at Chima for a rare dinner out. The rotisserie meats and fish were ALL tender and seasoned to perfection! Love all the sides that come with the meal and the extensive salad bar. Well done Chima, thank you!

Definitely an elegant, upper tier restaurant. The salad bar has a wonderful assortment delicious sides. I suggest it as a sampler side for the Brazilian churrasco, which was magnificent. The varieties of meat, mostly beef and lamb were perfect for your preferred doneness. The filet mignon was perhaps the best I ever had. There was also shrimp, chicken, and pork sausage on skewers. Oh, and you have to have the grilled pineapple on the skewer. A perfect way to end the meal.

There are several better steakhouses in the area. Their salad bar selection was very limited and their side dishes were not as good as other places

Service was horrible as we asked if something had nuts and they said twice it did not. That caused us to take our daughter to the ER as she is allergic to nuts.

This might be my last time going there ( been there about 10 times in the past) We went there for my mom’s birthday. We were not impressed. Service was super slow, lack of meat (long waits), seems like the quality went way down after covid. I asked around about the meat and too many attempts for them to bring us the shrimps or certain meats. After a long wait, you get fuller and eventually wanna go home because it’s getting later. Too expensive to have all those negatives.

Normally I love this place.....
We brought our 17yo for his birthday...
The good: Food was great, waiter was extremely friendly, and they brought him a cake.
The bad: we got an email that they are business casual. We called to confirm a was told that you won't be seated in shorts.... Need I say, we listened to the moron on the phone. A lot of folks were in shorts and casual dress. And pants was not a good idea, as it was 95 degrees outside, and the air conditioning was not cold enough - nothing like sweating through a meal! And to finish out the night, they had rang my order on someone else's credit card, making us have to wait and sweat for a while.

At lest the food was it's usual greatness...... I'm sure we'll be back.... and in shorts. :)

Chima, as always, is an exceptional Brazilian Steakhouse. Their salad bar alone is worth the visit, though I would be hard-pressed to pass up the meat offerings. If you require gluten-free food, as my significant other does, this is the restaurant for you. Nearly everything in the restaurant is gluten free.
