Chill- Restaurant & Bar
Our atmosphere is casual upscale, where you can be comfortable all dressed up or dressed down just coming in from the heat. We have an outdoor al fresco covered patio, a private party room that comfortably seats 40.
From Jan-May we have live music Wed through Sunday. Our Thursday, Friday and Saturday typically feature Carl on the piano bar. It starts at 7 pm quiet dinner music. By 8-8:30 it starts to get more lively and dancing typically starts at that time.
My wife and I went to Chill this week and were looking forward to a nice meal and evening. We ordered spaghetti squash with ratatouille with jumbo shrimp. The meal arrived and the jumbo shrimp were extra large at best. The sauce used was tasty but seemed different from the last time we ate here. During our meal they began working on the ice machine and were making a terrible racket. This went on for a while and finally we summoned our server to complain. They apologized and deducted a couple of bucks from our bill. The evening was already ruined so we finished up and left. I have raved about this restaurant in the past, but will not be returning again.
The staff was very friendly and attentive! It was a lovely spot with great food and a nice area outside where we opted to eat. We would def go again.
We tried again but the service is still just awful
Took my daughter out to dinner and sat outside. The service was really good and Courtney (server) was great and very helpful. We shared the savory brie appetizer which was delicious. I had beef tips with blue cheese dipping sauce for main dish and that was good. The chicken and pasta special my daughter had was just ok. The chicken itself (blackened, if I remember rightly) was very good. The white cheese sauce it was in was incredibly bland and didn’t coat the pasta well. Disappointing when looking forward to a good pasta dish. Overall we had a pleasant experience and I would give it another try at some point.
good find food was delicious menu was interesting service was good the ambience was a bit lacking but would recommend for sure.
They were out of many items. The ones we had were not very good
Had a great Sunday brunch. The service was very good and attentive. Brunch buffet choices were a little limited, but what was there was very good. Terrific bloody Mary bar.
My wife ordered the meatloaf and it was terrible. Fortunately, it was removed from the bill because of other complaints. Otherwise, we had a great experience.
Het was een beetje lawaaiig omdat er een artiest optrad. Aangezien we lekker buiten konden zitten hadden we daar geen last van. Verder was de spaghetti te scherp maar dat werd gecompenseerd door een gratis vervangende maaltijd. Erg aardige bediening. Al met al een heerlijke avond beleefd.
While vacationing in St Pete I asked the concierge at our hotel for some restaurant recommendations. She showed me a bunch of menus including Chill. We chose Chill for the extensive menu options, reservation availability & live entertainment. Our server Devin was great & very helpful w/menu selection. There was something for everyone. Service was fast, food was fresh & we all enjoyed our meals. The entertainment was great too, wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it! Highly recommend Chill for a good meal in a casual atmosphere! Will definitely be back if we’re in the area again!!!
We have visited this restaurant two other times while on vacation in St. Pete Beach. Both times we were very pleased. This time not so much. The food was just as good as before. Maybe it was it was a Sunday evening and they were closing early due to water repair.
Chill holds a special place in our hearts and is an annual event we look forward to every year.
The food is always high quality and never anything but perfect. Staff is incredibly attentive and make you feel like an old friend.
The bananas foster French toast should not be missed- it is full of flavor and never disappoints.
Food as always terrific, had the Sunday brunch. Everything great. Roast was a little undercooked. Couple of free Bloody Marys as we waited. We wee so full it didn’t matter. Stu was excellent.
Lots of menus choices. Food was delicious. Upscale without the upscale prices. A must try. We will definitely return.
for the cost the food was not great. Also, waitress was very nice but did not mention that she put a 20% tip on the bill already as I was about to put a 20% tip and thought the $345.00 bill was high. My wife had a dead moth in her salad and still charged her for it, nor did any manager come out and apologize. My chicken sandwich at the Don Cesar pool was better than my $26.00 chicken picatta.
The mgr Joe hooked us up! Gave us the perfect table to accommodate my disabled father. Jordy, our server, was delightful and together with the rest of the staff, took excellent care of us. Chef Corey is the real deal. We ordered most of the small plates on the menu and everything was exceptional. The filet tips, prepared in two different ways, were melt in your mouth delicious. My friend ordered some crazy beet thing that looked like it was prepared by a pastry chef and though I am not usually a fan of beets, it was amazing. Probably the best part of the evening was the piano player. This is not your Grandpa's piano bar! This guy was good! We're definitely going back to see him! A truly lovely evening and the perfect way to spend Father's Day. I highly recommend.
Sunday Brunch was excellent. The buffet that usually is available at 10am was running a bit late so we irdered from the menu. Avocado Toast was AWESOME!!! Large portions and great value!
Can always count on fabulous food... many different options to make everyone happy , whether you are a foodie , vegetarian, or want healthy and delicious choices..
Meatloaf is some of the best anywhere, giant portions! Fish is prepared perfectly and in many different ways
Went on a Sunday night to see Act 3, which always gets the crowd out of their seats ..
Reserved table on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. No indication there would be a live band. It was Motown cover band played at extremely loud level. Could not hear one another nor waiter. Considered moving outside, but very hot and humid. Second visit and first also had a ridiculously loud band. Thought that would only be on Thursday through Saturday. Staff was completely overwhelmed with number of customers. Had two different waiters think table was theirs, appetizers finally came and were okay, but not as good as expected from previous visit. An hour after ordering, waiter informed us that duck could not be served, and had to select another entree. Food came relatively fast after that. Meatloaf that had been outstanding on first visit was nearly inedible: way too much bbq glaze and it was burned. All four corners of meatloaf were charred to point couldn't be eaten, rest was mush, mashed potatoes had a couple of weird lumps, and one of the onion strings was actually a fish bite: on a non-fish eater's plate. Wanted to send back, but hopeless with rush. Had to beg THREE people for check and it still took a long time. Bathroom was nearly unusable, too. Planned to head to beach for sunset, but impossible with delay even when we planned plenty of time. Overall, extremely disappointing, especially since we'd taken family out for a special occasion. At the very least, Chill needs to check sound levels on its bands: they are probably set for much larger venue. We COULD hear many people complaining. Don't think we'll try this restaurant, again.
Good food, nice waiter, however restaurant understaffed and wouldn’t allow us to sit at open tables inside “due to staffing” (despite indoor table reservation) - so multiple table were outside eating along with us and sweating in the heat - eventually the table next to us got moved inside to a cooler table after they finished their dinner.
Great food but don't get the black and bleu martini!
Our server was very inattentive, I had to clean plates off our table, the menu was extremely limiting, they no longer served breakfast and weren’t serving dinner yet so we could only order from about 7 different items. They didn’t inform us of this when setting the reservation for Mother’s day. They upcharged $4.00 to my niece for ordering off the kids menu bc she was not young enough. So she paid $10 for a grilled cheese sandwich. Ridiculous.
Is usually really good here, but today (Mother’s Day) our service was very slow. We had a reservation for two, check in was slow. There seem to be some confusion of whos section we were sitting in. As a woolens kept asking if we had been waited on. I got the buffet, It was OK, but not worth the $26.95. My friend ordered off the menu and really seem to like her dish. We are sitting on the small table on the corner and the air-conditioner above was dripping on us, so that definitely took away from the experience. Will be back they have been good in the past.
My meal had to be remade. I asked that the vegetables in my egg white dish be well done, but they were raw. When it was remade it was delicious!
We had a light meal of spaghetti squash and veggies. I had my topped with white fish and my girlfriend had it with grilled shrimp. Delicious meal with good service and outside seating was wonderful.
The stuffed dates get me every time! Fantastic place!
Loved our dining experience! We went to see Act III perform and have some dinner .. thoroughly enjoyed the music and wax quite impressed with the food !! Everyone at the table loved their entrees and we gobbled up the appetizers we ordered ( the stuffed dates and goat cheese stack ). Filet en Poivre was one of the best filet mignons I have had anywhere, especially for less than $30 !! Their house salad dressing is delicious! Will be back soon !
We were in town from NJ, and visited for dinner. I’d dined at Chill when I was visiting over Labor Day weekend, and knew my family would enjoy it as well. Chill did NOT disappoint. Also, our waiter was phenomenal!
Was on vacation at the nearby Tradewinds resort and picked this place to venture out. Located on a nice block of stores with an outdoor seating area while the menu was interesting it did not contain your typical selection of seafood, meats and vegetables. When we asked to substitute another green for Brussel sprouts in the seafood dish the waiter did not even consider doing so and was dismissive. It put a damper on the rest of the evening. Also specialty cocktails were small in portion as compared to other area dining venues offerings.
Easter brunch was excellent!
I love this place. The owner and staff are all friendly and accommodating. They treated us like rockstars and made us feel incredibly valued. My fiancé is vegan and they have great options for her. Plus, you can’t beat listening to Carl on piano. He brings so much life to the place.
We went there just for the prime rib for $17.00 good price decent cut of meat. When the waitress served the salads her thumb was touching the salad greens !! NOT GOOD.
I ordered the “legendary’ flat bread ...the description was garlic infused olive oil brushed on flat bread ,topped with artichoke hearts, olives, maybe tomato maybe spinach
And feta cheese. Very dry and disappointing!!! Everything fell off when I picked it up and the bread was something out of the freezer. NOT GOOD as a retired Ex.Chef there is no reason or excuse for bad food. And who thought this was legendary was probably the one who cooked it.
Excellent experience, servers are very friendly. Food was great. Service was excellent!!
I was meeting family members for the first time in my life and wanted an area that we could talk privately if we wanted but with others around in case we just wanted to socialize. It was the perfect place for this to happen. We all enjoyed the food and drinks and the atmosphere. My new family members loved it and they want to come back and do it again.
We were there with a large group and the staff provided excellent service. It was a bit too loud to enjoy conversation but the entertainment more than made up for that with sheer FUN! Act 3 performed high energy, crowd favorites that had us dancing in our seats throughout dinner.
SERVICE ATTENTIVE WITHOUT HOVERING. FOOD INTERESTING WITH GOOD PRESENTATION AND MANY HEALTHY CHOICES. WE COME HERE OFTEN AND ALWAYS HAVE A VERY GOOD DINING EXPERIENCE.
Vacation with kids so neat place to enjoy music and food.
Server seemed bothered by us and not really willing to talk much about the options. He seemed annoyed when I had to ask him to repeat himself but it was loud and I could not hear well. He snapped at the kids, again, they could not hear him when he asked if the wanted a plate moved (again it was loud). The food was delicious and very unusual! Portions were perfect on the small bites plates! What a great idea!!! We will be back again.
They ran out of the fish of the day at 6:30 but substituted it with salmon. The young man who seated us (who had a man bun - I thought those things were out of style now!) didn’t speak much and had very little personality. We don’t think he liked his job. We had to steal silverware from another table which was incomplete ( no forks) so we had to ask for new silverware. Our meals were OK but the white fish we hoped for was substituted with salmon which wasn’t as good. Everyone including owner was friendly enough (except for man who seated us) and so maybe they were having a bad night. We may try it again on our next rip to St Pete’s Beach.
Good menu with traditional choices as well as tasty vegetarian, GF, healthy options.
Music way too loud for conversation!
