Second visit in two weeks, last minute booking. Service quiet and unobtrusive. Poppadums excellent - always a good early indicator of food quality at an Indian restaurant. Waitress always asks for your 'heat' preference when taking your order. Food nicely presented and fresh tasting. Naan's here are thin and served quartered but that works for me. My new goto Indian in Newbury.

Lovely food. Good service. £35 per head. Friendly staff. Would recommend and will be going again. I’ve been there several times when visiting Newbury as it’s perfectly situated near the King Charles Tavern and Newbury Station.

Brilliant food, lovely, friendly staff and a very pleasant ambience. We’ve eaten at Chilis twice in two weeks and have had excellent meals both times. This is definitely our new go-to restaurant. The food is cooked fresh, and you can be sure that the heat level is what you ask for. We like tasty rather than hot, so this is perfect for us. Highly recommended!

First time here, came on a recommendation. Fabulous food, good attentive, friendly service, comfortable, spacious table seating, and (for us at least) a very convenient location to walk to from the town centre or southerly neighbourhoods. The only downsides were, I felt, a lack of ambience, and 'so-so' decor. For me, the interior could do with brightening up with interesting features, artifacts etc. It felt a little plain and lacking character.
