The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions patiently. Very nice touch to have the chef come out and explain the food and take our order. Will definitely recommend to others and make return trips ourselves as well.
We went on Sunday for "brunch". There was a buffet but also carts with a variety if Dim Sum. I enjoy Dim Sum so did not try the buffet but my guest did and found it tasty. The Dim Sum was comparable to other places in the GTA. So very happy with the experience.
A very nice, proper and tasteful Sichuan and Dim Sum restaurant.
Food was excellent but for the price we paid the portions were too small.
Price of wine was a bit too high.
Water tasted like dish soap. They should rinse the glasses with cold water
after they are washed to take the dishwasher smell away.
The food was amazing
I thought the food and the service was great. But I thought it was expensive for Chinese food
The service wasn't exactly warm and friendly but we came for the food, which was excellent! Great KungPao Chicken and dim sum, perfect level of heat and spice.
Food was not very good and not very plentiful on plates. Expensive also for what you get.
Dim Sim was great. And the best Kung Pau we have ever had.
Excellent local venue. Dim Sum was yummy!
A buffet offering would be a great way to taste new dishes.
We were pleasantly surprised by this addition to the NOTL restaurant scene. All the food was well prepared and delicious. We will certainly return on our next visit.
We would definitely go back. The service was impeccable. If a dish shows two 'peppers' on the menu be warned that it is damn hot but we loved our meals
Food was amazing! Very quiet setting. Great overall experience
Fabulous. Loved the buffet and Dim Sum. I was so full of such good food. Everyone was so nice. We will be back.
Good place to have a dim sum in Niagara on the Lake. Dish (dim sum) is quite affordable.
I will go back with friends and family again.
Food is okay. Service is bad. Only one server. Over pricing for dimsum. $1 per piece of dimsum.
The food was quite good - high quality and authentic szechuan flavor. The waiter was polite and very engaging until they got too busy and he forgot about us :( We ordered pork wonton soup, yang chow fried rice, dan dan noodles, and kung pao chicken. All delicious with flexible spice levels (though I dont think rice noodles are usually used to prepare dan dan). Overall a great spot but they probably need a few more servers on hand for peak times.
everything was homemade even the dumplings the food was fantastic!
The food was bland and tasteless. We had kung pao chicken, which we asked to be mild, which tasted of nothing except chicken. We wanted the tofu dish to be really hot, but got tofu in tasteless gloopy cornstarch. The eggplant dish was really oily with very little flavour.
The server didn't seem to understand what 'gluten-free' means.
Food was very fresh and value for the $$ was stellar. Just as good as a downtown Toronto restaurant.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and helped. Our waiter, Guang, sat us down and walked us through the menu, giving personal recommendations, advice and highlighting the popular dishes.
We ate only dim sum but each piece was magnificent. As good as I’ve had (including Chinatown in London and New York).
Wonderful meal and well worth it.
Been here many times for all-you-can eat dim sum & buffet on weekend. Great as usual !
We shared a Kung Pao Chicken, Kung Pao Beef and a Vegetable Fried Rice. We thought the food was delicious and the tea was a calming treat after a hectic day. The staff were warm and welcoming. This restaurant is a hidden gem. Enjoy!
Our server was very helpful as it was our first time at the restaurant and we weren’t sure how some of the items on the menu could be ordered. The price was very reasonable and the food came out in a reasonable time. The portions are a good size. I would highly recommend this restaurant .
Very friendly staff. quick service, great menu choices, nice atmosphere and excellent food quality.
Hands down one of the best dim sum restaurants that we have ever been to. My wife and I just moved back to the region from a long period in Vancouver where dim sum is a great brunch experience. Both of us were craving some Shanghai dumplings and had yet to find a place local that had the same quality we were used to. Chili Jiao did not disappoint.
If you are looking for a great experience or just a nice chill brunch, this is the place to go. We will be frequenting this place from now on.
Food was generally good but cold.
A little pricy for portion size
We had the Spinach Chicken Dumplings dim sum, Kung Pao chicken and Stir-fried Noodles w/ beef and it was all delicious. Service was excellent and the manager was very friendly and we even had a nice conversation with him. Very pleased with the whole experience and I would definitely recommend trying a variety of dishes.
Great service! Great food!
I’ve ordered take out quite a few times and the food was really good. I went to dine in for the weekend brunch and was very surprised by the selection of food at the buffet (8-10 items), and the all you can eat fresh dim sum (Har Kow, Siu Mai, Steamed bbq pork buns, Chicken feet, Fried spring rolls and shrimp wonton, Chicken and spinach dumpling, Pan fried dumplings, Steamed and fried Chinese Mantou with condensed milk, Fresh Chinese almond cookies, and the Little Rabbit dessert with egg/milk custard in the centre. Definitely good value for money, considering you’d be paying $5-$9 for one order of dim sum at any other dim sum place. I started at the buffet and then the server rolled a hot steaming cart over with dim sum- be patient and inquire when the dim sum will come out. They also don’t charge you $6.99 for a pot of tea (like some local St. Catharines Chinese restaurants- for example, MA Chinese restaurant). Chili Jiao (following the same practice of pretty much all Chinese restaurants in general) will provide you with a good quality tea to accompany your meal at no extra cost. Service was excellent, and I felt that the server was very nice and tried to accomodate to any requests, if possible. I would definitely return with family and friends!
Excellent customer service and variety of food choices.
Dim sum brunch was amazing ! Highly recommended, will come again.
Excellent food and service! Wonderful selection of outstanding food choices at Sunday buffet and Dim Sum cart.
Wanted to have a quiet discussion. And we were able to
The food was excellent as always. The ambience is off putting.
The lighting is too bright and ruins the ambience. Candles on the tables would really help too...to create a more intimate dining experience.
Service was good.
We were recommend by a friend to try this. The food was great and dim sum was fantastic. Staff go overboard to make your experience one to remember.
I really like this place. The food is always fresh and the service is outstanding. The staff works very hard to ensure a great dining experience.
Four women spent a quiet noon-hour luncheon at Chilli Jiao yesterday. Our server was excellent, explaining patiently, the ordering process and making friendly but not overly aggressive suggestions for our meal. The luncheon special, at $15.99 was good value as was Dim Sum at $1.00 per piece.
We'll certainly be back.
The food was nothing special. Although the dim sum was good, if we went back we’d go back for the dim sum.
