Friends with Benefits welcomes chef Stephanie Izard Friends with Benefits was created by chef/owner Jorge Guzmán in 2023 as a way to cook with friends whom he rarely sees and gave him an opportunity to give back to the community. Chef Guzmán has invited some of the most notable chefs in the country to Minneapolis to just "hang out" and cook together all the while donating the proceeds to charity. If you ask him he'll say "selfishly i just wanted to cook with chefs I really admire and look up too and wouldn't have a chance to otherwise" and what a better way to raise awareness for charity and give back. Your ticket price is inclusive of gratuity. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase on-site. Menu Coming soon.

Elote was served cold and when we mentioned we were told it irks the “traditional” way to serve it - really, since when? Others than hat small issue, rest of the meal was heat. Lots of meat on the brisket and chicken dishes. Cheesecake and service by Keith as superb! Shoutout as well to the sweet lady who was refilling our water glasses on the patio - very attentive to hydration needs of humans as well as pets!

Experience was average. Food interesting & tasty but "nothing to write home about." Service good. Drinks expensive. Overall a very expensive evening for 6 people which included a mandatory 20% tip for 6 and above.

Best fish tacos I’ve ever had. Margaritas were very good. Not too sweet and tasted fresh. Didn’t taste like they came out of a machine. Service was friendly and they validate your parking.

Upon arriving, greeter was not friendly or too engaging. Had a VERY REPUTABLE person to dine in at this restaurant and they noticed it upon walking through the door. Waiter was friendly, but was all over the place. Once we received our food, no one ever came back to see if we were OK or if we needed anything else along with the meal. The only thing that made it worth potentially coming back was the manager coming over ONLY because the waitress had not been to the table and her telling us the Chef’s name being engaging with us, letting us know That we can look the Chef up for our own personal knowledge. But if she wouldn’t have came over and given us that pleasantry of engagement, I’m quite sure none of us would ever probably return. Very unfortunate because the restaurant has so much potential and if I’m not mistaken, it’s not that old of a restaurant maybe a year or so. But it still doesn’t Give the people that work there the right to not have proper knowledge on servicing people. If you’re going to be in the service industry, the company should have their staff be more engaging and knowledgeable. It’s gonna make the restaurant that much more better just for that reason alone. If service was on point if there was potentially anything wrong with someone’s food or an item I guarantee you that it probably would’ve been overlooked just because of the service was better that would be a reasoning for not complaining but because of the service it was very disappointing.

This was my 3rd time dining at Chilango, and it never disappoints. The quality and flavor of the food is at the highest level. We tried many different dishes, and they were all outstanding. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be either the NY strip al norteño or the camarones al diablo. The flavors are uncommonly good.

Strong smell of pot I believe from the hostess who sat us which lingered for awhile. Server was fine, not overly friendly. Some of the food was nice, the queso and guac in particular. But a couple dishes were so salty we struggled to eat them, including the chicken enchiladas and tuna tostadas. Wouldn’t bother with this place, overpriced for quality and service.
