   Chiko is a great restaurant. Inventive and delicious Japanese food with European influences. Surprisingly strong for a small Brooklyn restaurant. The food competes with the best restaurants in NYC.

   We very much enjoyed our time at Chiko. My wife and I went there on a Christmas date. We made a reservation at 9oclock and arrived to find out that we were the only ones sitting at that time (don’t worry, the sittings before were all filled). As a result we had a private tasting menu experience. While I can’t say that this will happen often, the chefs talent and creativity will undoubtedly remain for a full group of patrons. We really enjoyed all of the fresh fish, particularly the tuna and what the chef called “the Italian” which was red seabream. I liked the hamachi that had hazelnut and butter on it. While top to bottom we enjoyed the high quality food and experience, we didn’t feel that we had one of those “out of this world” reactions when you take a bite of something. Due to its ever evolving seasonal menu, I can’t imagine the chef won’t develop one of those dishes soon. The last thing I will mention is the value. Given its location and who it’s trying to cater to, we felt the cost per person was a little inflated. They should consider $115/person. Especially knowing that they’ll soon be getting a liquor license. We highly recommend this unique dining experience at Chiko. Get there before too many people hear about it!

   Come here if you want to try flavors that are not only new, interesting, but also delicious! I will definitely come back again. I was a bit reluctant at first, but most dishes were scrumptious. Worth the money!

   I was so pleasantly surprised with Chiko. I ate at Chef's Table at Brooklyn fair a month ago and I would have to say I preferred Chiko. Currently the only downside is no liquor license, but that is soon to be rectified. They offered 2 supplements to the tasting menu, which we got, and they were amazing. Every dish was great, yet some were exceptional. Highly recommended.

   We enjoyed very much our dinner. Cozy atmosphere, great service and delicious food prepared to perfection. We will definitely repeat the experience....

   Great food but very small portions hence the 13 course menu. Friendly service and they did a great job explaining each dish. Would definitely recommend for a date night or special occasion. Not good for groups.

    The experience we had at Chiko was spectacular. Taste of the food was amazing and would highly recommend you all to pay the visit here. Chef Xiao and the sous chef both pay attention to so much detail and do an amazing job at explaining every aspect of the dish they present to you. All the dishes were a work of art!
