Chico Malo Miami

It was wonderful! Beautiful restaurant and so delicious. It was perfect for our date night. We can’t wait to go back.

The service was very slow and there was a BEE in our drink! The manager said he would comp our bill and confirmed everything was taken care of at the end of the night but turns out only
1 drink was comped. The servers were in a rush to remove our plates before we were done eating but very slow to bring our drinks & food in the first place. Server only recommended the meat dishes, not seafood. Overpriced and not a good variety.

Food was good and service was very friendly and prompt. We were a big group and tried a few dishes, everything was really good. Favorites were queso fundido, elotes and birria tacos. Restaurant is beautiful and perfect for a date or a get together with family and friends.

The service was non existing, except for the Manager that noticed us and took care of us.

Food was cold & the server was not attentive.

The service was awful! Extremely slow and poor, we got there and waited more than 15 mins for someone to bring water and order drinks. The drinks took over 35 mins to arrive, by the time we wanted to order food, it was already an hour sitting there.
We wanted to order food for the kids first so that they could start eating, IMPOSSIBLE, they never came. Beautiful place with a very poor service. That’s beside the point that we made reservations so they should’ve been prepared. Not recommended nor will be visiting again.

The waitress only came to our table a total of 5 times in 2 hours. We would order items and had to remind her because she would forget after 45 minutes. Chicken quesadillas were dry. Churros we’re undercooked. Prices not worth the quality.

I loved this place. The table they originally sat us at was way too short. My thighs were touching the bottom of then table. I’m 5’8” and my husband is 6’2” so we needed to change tables. The staff was accommodating and changed us to a booth. The place is beautiful and later in the night they turn the music up. Very much a great place for a young couple or group.

Service is great, the food is very tasty and good, and the drinks are awesome. Best place for a nice brunch and to have some quality time.

We had a nice experience. The food was good and our waitress was very friendly.

My friend and I went here on a Saturday for brunch. We fully enjoyed our time. Had some bottomless mimosas which ends at 3. Our server, Jared, was super nice and also quite funny. Our glasses were never empty haha, the moment they realized our mimosas were done, they came over immediately.

Our food was great! We had the steak and fries with eggs and guacamole. Loved it! The setting is also really cute. It's a pretty and chill environment with cool and friendly servers.

It's fun if you want a lit place for brunch. Obviously it's a ig worthy place and it's fun, but the food wasn't the greatest. The drinks were on point.

We celebrated our Grandmothers birthday. Brian was our server and he was very pleasant, friendly and courteous! Food and atmosphere was great!

I would give it zero stars if I couldn’t. Not sure if this is the way this place is but if your looking for a good brunch this place is not it. They’re trying to be a club in the middle of the day. The music was so loud you had to yell to hear the person across the table. I don’t have a problem with a fun vibe and music but I don’t want to be yelling at brunch. Waitress took our drinks orders, brought it back and didn’t comeback for over 30 minutes. Over an hour in we still had not been able to order our meal, the music got even louder so we asked for the check and 45 minutes later (yes that’s how long it took to get the check and pay) we left. Went to brimstone downstairs and still enjoyed the music from Chico malo while being promptly attended to and having a fab meal.

Very disappointed I was looking forward to eating at Chico malo, their menu options look great. It’s a shame they atmosphere is trash.

The food is very mediocre here. The DJ is great and a great ambience but the food is below average. I wouldn’t go back or recommend.

I ordered the rib eye and the presentation was beautiful but the steak was 50% fat. Very low quality cut of meat for $48. Also, the margarita did not taste like fresh made from lime it tasted like a sweet mix or way too much simple syrup. Our waiter was wonderful and told me since I wasn’t happy with the drink he would take it off the bill. I didn’t ask, he offered. But the manager came over to talk to me after about the drink. I told him the drink was not what I expected and as I had already sent my credit card up with the check I wouldn’t be needing anything else. He seemed almost angry that I wouldn’t take a replacement drink instead. Very unlike how a manager should have acted. A simple I’m sorry you didn’t like the drink and please come again would have been fine.

The food was delicious, staff very friendly and the place was very clean and spacious. Very energetic as well and good music. If you want to enjoy and laugh too improv is next door.

The ambience was amazing service was amazing the manager Jarrod was kind and hospitable and able to get us in without a reservation on a busy day and made sure everything was perfect. The duck pastor was unique and different from anything you’ve had in Miami, I loved their rice and I’m not even a rice person, the way they mix flavors makes the food very tasty. It was incredible how quickly they brought out our food and it was sizzling just made, presentation was great and it’s a destination spot that’s worth the drive from Kendall.

I am terribly disappointed with this restaurant. I booked a dinner for 10 people for work & we were excited to have a fun taco Tuesday out & celebrate 2 birthdays-one birthday was mine. The overall vibe & decor is great and the DJ was good.
They had a condensed taco menu that looked good.
Service was HORRIBLE! 1 meal came out. Then 10 minutes later 5 more meals came out. 15 minutes later 1 more meal came out, then was snatched back 5 minutes later by a different server-saying it was the wrong order.
I asked to see Hector the manager, 5 minutes later her arrived & did very little to help the situation. 5 more minutes later food came out but if was the wrong orders.
We canceled the remaining orders at this point.
The server kept blaming the kitchen & Hector just kept clearing the table.
We were frustrated & just wanted our check.
Then the sparklers & birthday singing happened! We had one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a very long time & now sparklers!!!???
The server brought me the check & said we removed the meals you didn’t get. That’s was it!!! What!!???
I asked to see the Mgr again. 5 minutes later he said, oh I wasn’t done with your bill. Eventually they removed all the drinks & the top that was pre-factored in.
100% I would not go back & I would not recommend this restaurant unless you want an Instagram pic. Get the pic, then leave.

Too expensive, loud, poor offer for a mexican restaurant.

I would not recommend this place at all. First the chips were stale, second it took 45 minutes for the quesadilla to come out and it was not even the right meat. Had it sent back came out another 35 minutes later. Asked for sour cream another 35 minutes later after I finished the right quesadilla. At this point i was so done with the restaurant.

Food was absolutely not worth having. We both ordered churrasco- one with fries and the other with eggs, they were super fatty and bland. The service was just okay. On the way in one of the servers bumped me accidentally and didn’t even cross his mind to turn around and apologize. Then our waitress was just fine- it was so loud it was hard to communicate. She didn’t add to our experience but made sure our drinks were filled. It was extremely loud in there, no way to have a good conversation with someone. Essentially the place is a day club, lots of celebrations and constant birthday shoutouts. I don’t recommend at all. So many other options out there!

Amazing experience.! Went for my bestie birthday brunch and the experience was unforgettable. Amazing service. amazing ambiance. Amazing food!

Must try the churro waffles !!!

Been here several times and was very disappointed this time. Our drinks took forever or were actually forgotten about. Had to ask for chips several times to different people and never got them. Food came out and seemed and tasted as if it was sitting out for some time (cold). Place wasn’t packed so don’t know the reason it was horrible last night. Not even any apology for the delays.

I really wanted to like this place. Skirt steak over cooked, did not come as waitress described. Took 40 minutes to get our entrees. Quesadilla my boyfriend ordered was “meant to share” on menu but was half the size of a Taco Bell quesadilla and he was left hungry. We got what we could order because at 9pm on a Friday they ran out of half the entree items.

When I walked in for my reservation the place was dead! I had reservations and I asked to be seated at a booth and the hostess told me they were all reserved for larger parties which I found strange because not many adults can fit in the booth over 4. Also as we left there were still 5 booths available! So I thought it was weird but ok she sat me at like a decorative “picnic like” table in the middle and the tables were extremely uncomfortable so my husband came in and we asked a manager if we can move he said “sure take any booth you’d like”….. so we began to order food the food is pretty basic and I wouldn’t say I would come back for it. I also wanted to order the snapper and I was informed the snapper was unavailable because it wasn’t defrosted lol! No one who dined with me liked their food either. Chewing steak for over 5 mins isn’t fun. Maybe if you want to come here for a few photos and drinks it might work for you but overall it’s a very underwhelming experience.

Great food. Had a new server so service was not great.

The service was a little slow. However our waitress was very accommodating so I didn’t hold it against her. The food was very good. The presentation was very nice. The drinks were amazing. The DJ outside was probably unnecessary as it was too loud to hear anyone talking. The bar downstairs was less noisy lol. Overall a good experience though.

Cleanliness of restaurant, food was amazing, waiter was exceptional. Will definitely go again and recommend.
