   Guess is nice to try it out but definitely don't have to go back..food was ok...i will take waffle house over this

   Biscuits were either over-cooked or old. Not good at all compared to our last visit. Chicken-Fried-Steak and Chicken were over-done.

   My waffle was cold and toasted very hard that the butter wouldn’t even melt. When I sent it back I asked for French toast instead. They brought another waffle instead. At least she said sorry. My drinks took forever to be served. I love this place but this is the 3 rd time I had to send back the waffle. I think I will only order chicken and French toast

   We came here to brunch after having competed in a local track meet, so we were hungry. The restaurant was very noisy and lively, but we got seated right away. Our server brought us coffee. We wanted the crab cakes benedict I saw on the online menu, but it is not on their current menu, so we were disappointed. My husband and I both ordered the crab and crawfish omelette. I asked if I could have mine without artichoke hearts, since I do not care for artichokes, but our server told us that artichokes were in the mixture. I got it anyway and it tasted fine with all of the other flavors coming through.

   1st time we have eaten here. Breakfast was yummy. All 4 of us got a different dish so we could share and we were not disappointed. Would definitely return.

   It is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant! We enjoy dining there a couple of times per month. It is also a great place to take friends for a good meal and conversation!

   Overall, our experience was ridiculous. While the food was delicious, we waited over an hour to be seated when we had reservations. Once seated we waited another hour for our food to come out. Our server didn't check on us once, or refill our drinks (which took 30 minutes to come in the first place). There was no reason for the below average service because by the time we were seated it wasn't even that busy. Will not be returning.

   Historically we have had great experiences at C&E, however this Sunday brunch left a lot to be desired mainly due to service. We made a reservation and were seated at a small table next to a very large group instead of one of the multiple (and more private) booths (which remained unseated for nearly an hour). Our waiter was basically non-existent. He barely spoke above a whisper and displayed zero enthusiasm about being there. There was no explanation of the drinks offered beyond water nor any input on the food menu. Once food was served, there was no return to the table to check on us or to remove the tableware no longer needed. We even built a mountain of appetizer plates, main dishes and silverware in the middle of our tiny table to help. Beverage refills were offered only after the meal was finished. If the restaurant/waiter was overly busy, I could be more understanding, however I watched our waiter clear and clean 2 nearby tables for over 5 minutes before he walked off and still didn’t check in with us.

    Excellent food and service. The place can be a bit loud when full but otherwise incredible restaurant!
