    I believe this is Chef Art Smith’s place (Oprah’s former chef). Good food, average prices for sandwiches (entrees higher priced). Save room for the carrot cake!! We’ll be back.

    Mixed feelings here. The ambiance and service were excellent. Most of the food was wonderful. The cole slaw and the baked beans were the best I’ve ever had- and I’m 74 years old and have been in a LOT of barbecue restaurants. My wife’s brisket sandwich was large and flavorful, the brisket cooked perfectly. Here’s the drawback. I ordered a half slab of baby back ribs. What I received was the smallest portion of ribs I’ve ever seen outside a sampler plate. It was maybe a third of a slab, and that pared right down to the bones. What meat there was, and it wasn’t much, was also perfectly cooked and delicious but there was just too little of it. Price points were good and I have to recommend this place - just don’t order the ribs.

    Very overpriced for the food options and the waitstaff although nice was beyond pushy and came to table to clear plates waaaay to much, it was distracting.

    Food is excellent, tender meats, great flavor, comfort food. Cocktails were very good. Extensive whiskey menu, great place to try things hard to find. One of the best old fashioneds around. I so recall they had a bacon starter, I didn't see it on the menu but certainly it's missed.

    Charming yet sophisticated ambience. Wonderful service. Delicious food. Highly recommend hush puppies with aioli, pulled pork and smoked chicken. And the honey butter cornbread!

    The barbeque was good. Not great, but good. Sides were all excellent (cole slaw, beans, corn bread). But what really sealed the deal was our waiter, Mario. I was dining with two business colleagues from Korea. My intention was to give them a taste of US BBQ. One of my colleagues was asking what the steak of the evening was. Smooth as silk, Mario said, pointing to the BBQ section of the menu "Gentlemen - this is what we are known for. You can get a steak anywhere!" After I used hand gestures to explain what a half slab and a whole slab were, we ordered, and were very pleased.

    The Q had fantastic bbq options. We had the rib combo with brisket. The rib meat fell of the bone and was delicious. Our sides were tangy Cole slaw and their amazing mac and cheese with panko bead crumbs on top. We loved it!

    So happy with our experience! Great outdoor and indoor ambiance. Staff super friendly and timely with great recommendations. Food was fantastic, both their brunch options and dinner. I tried their happy hour for the first time and was not disappointed! Highly recommend!

    I was not as impressed as I used to be with Q. Brisket came warm. Portions seemed smaller than before. Cornbread was not as warm as before.

    HIGHLY recommend! The prime brisket sandwich, pulled chicken, and dry rub wings appetizer were all great. Casual dining but great ambiance and food.

    Great place for a date or family gathering. BBQ compares to Carson’s and that says a lot! I go here every couple months. If you live in Chicago you know Chicago Q for its quality and tasty food!

    On a prior visit, I had the sliced brisket and it was stellar. This visit, I had the St Louis ribs and they were not the greatest. I am staying with the brisket in the future. The mac and cheese was great both times.

    BBQ chicken and baby back ribs were very good. Ribs were somewhat chewy, not really fall off the bone. Very meaty. Chicken was moist and tender. Very good bbq sauces, one regular and one spicy, although not very spicy. Good honey mustard sauce. Good size portions. Homemade chips were flavorful but not great. Cornbread was good but served with hard, cold butter which made it very difficult to spread. Our server took a very long time to serve our drinks and didn't check back to see if everything was ok. Tables were spaced nicely. Our booth had a seat that was so torn up it was awful. The restaurant should never let their booths get in such bad shape.

    We ate outside. It was relaxing and delicious. We had pulled pork and blackened mahi mahi, which were both good. We had the happy hour drink specials which were great and good value. Our server was really nice and good at his job.
