Our waiter made the evening. Ask for Steve. It was my daughter's 18th birthday and he serenaded our table with a great rendition of "Fly me to the Moon". Thanks Steve!
The restaurant was wonderful we can not wait to go back!
Great Italian food. I have been here numerous times. Very good, consistent quality.
The waitress was good, but obviously overburdened by the number of tables she had. She had to move much too fast and forgot to refill drinks, etc... I don't eat meat so I ordered the cheese lasagna w/out the meat sauce. When I cut into it it looked like it was filled with meat. They took it back and it turned it out was just way overcooked, to the point where the cheese looked like meat... They made me a new dish and threw in a free dessert, but it surprised me that this could happen in this type of restaurant.
I have been to other Rosebud locations throughout Chicago and I have enjoyed the experience each time. The Schaumburg location was an absolute perfect destination for a quiet evening for two. The service was outstanding. Available when we were ready to order and distant when we wanted to have conversation. I made sure to point out to the manager what a fine job our server did. I would absolutely recommend Rosebud for anyone looking for a quiet romantic meal or even a dinner with friends.
Did a large group reservation on OpenTable and was given a time about 30 minutes away. We had to wait nearly an hour after our time. Other than that, the food was great.
the food was a little pricey but, but for the service that i got it was worth it.
As usual, service was excellent.
Their Shrimp Francese is the best!!!, It is not a regular on the menu, but if you ask for it, they'll make it :) The house cab was very good and reasonably priced!
In a word, the service was horrible.
A poor ambiance for a Rosebud restaurant; La Rosetta and Carmine's are better. This had the look and feel of a Cheesecake factory. Tables not put in any type of romantic of even normal fashion. This is first time tried a Rosebud in the suburbs. Food still great, but everything else is an utter failure.
The host and waiter were great and the waiter was right-on with his recommendations. Good spot for a business lunch in the Schaumburg area.
The drinks, food, atmosphere and service is without question five star. Some of the best Italian food in the Chicagoland area. My only criticism is the noise level makes it hard to hear the waiter.
Everything was very good but the noise level is extremely high! Almost impossible to converse with a group of ten. Should have more round tables for larger groups. Honored our reservation for the appropriate time, no waiting. Food was very good.
Food was wonderful Mussels were outstanding Very nice ambiance Service good, but very slow on a busy Saturday
It was a pleasure to have a wonderful dinner where the ambiance and noise level were excellent. We did not have to speak loudly to each other, the lighting was very good and not too dim. By the way the food was excellent. They had a bar lounge singer and the volume was excellent and not overbearing to others.
The service and food were excellent!
Too many tables in the room ( waiters could not wal thru without bumping the chairs) an the noise level was intolerable.
The restaurant really exceeded my expectations. The only downside, in my opinion, is that the main dining room is extremely noisy. The tables didn't seem to be too close together, so I can only attribute the noise to the acoustics of the room. Except for the noise, I would have classified the restaurant as Romantic.
We went on Sunday night of Labor Day weekend. Because of the cool weather, mgmt. was caught off-guard and unprepared for the unexpected walk-ins from taste of Schaumburg. The 6 servers and mgr. did yeoman duty to take care of a full house. Having never been impressed with Rosebud's interpratation of Italian food, we were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Other than their "wedding" soup, which will probably end in divorce, everything was hot and tasty.
We stopped by on a Saturday evening while we were in the area. The restaurant was busy that night but despite that the service was very slow and food turned out to be very average.
Best waitress I've ever had. Extremely good food. But extremely pricely. I spent $100+ for me and my girlfriend and a tip
The food is excellent. Everything that came out of the kitchen down to the bread rolls is fantastic with tons of flavor, the right amount of spice, and the presentation. The portion sizes are very big so sharing a couple of dishes is plenty. The service however has been terrible to two times I have been here. The first, time we had to wait over an hour for any food to come out. In addition, the food that did come out was not the food we ordered. The second time I went, the wait staff was again less than stellar. It is, therefore, better to order take out rather than dine in the restaurant.
Food was great. Really enjoyed our first-time experience. Will come back.
The calamari was unlike any I have ever had. It almost seemed as if it had been boiled. I prefer fried.
My lettuce in my salad was wilted. Really, that's just inexcusable. I wouldn't put that type of lettuce on my table at home.
The lasagna was heavy. I know that it's never light, but this was more like a brick.
Sorry. None of the three of us would ever go back. Perhaps the one on Taylor Street and Rosemont are better. At least, I recall that they were.
As far as the Open Table reservation process was concerned, it could not have been easier. I have used it in the past and will in the future.
Excellent food, excellent service as always. Have yet to go to Rosebud and leave disappointed. Definitely on my list of favorite restaurants and definitely will be returning there again.
We had a group of 5 that had dinner at Rosebud. The service was great. The food was generally well prepared. The Penna with vodka sauce could have had 30% of the sauce that it came with - it was literally swimming....which was not to my taste. Further, for Italian food, I found the prices a bit high.
Food was very good. Prices are reasonable.
Food was very good, but fish specials were expensive and pricing not noted on specials menu or provided by wait staff. Outdoor area comfortable but awkwardly placed where patrons and staff need to use main entrance and back kitchen entrance for trips to the reastrooms and for food delivery. No connection to mail restaurant. Had to continually ask for water and drink refills while wine and after dinner capacino orders were incorrect and replacements took extensive amount of time. Had better experience in previous visits and may consider not returning.
This was my first visit to the Schaumburg location. I've dined at several other Rosebuds. I read many negative reviews regarding this particular one in Schaumburg and almost cancelled my reservations. I'm glad I chose to form my own opinion. The only negative that I would agree with is the noise level is very loud. I was with a party of 3 and we are not by no means quiet so we were okay with this but I do think it can be a little annoying. Definitely not a romantic quiet spot for two. We didn't sit outside but it looked like a nice area to eat and quieter. I wouldn't rave about this location but would eat here again.
Great place for a business lunch.
Outside dining A+
The food was outstanding! The portions are very generous for the price. The meals are prepared to appeal to your taste buds and your eyes. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
Far too loud.
At a place known for huge portions, we were delighted to have a wonderful, fresh salad for lunch. Would not hesitate to recommend this alternative for those times when a lighter meal is just the ticket!
Great service and the food was just as good. I have added this to my favorites.
The Italian Wedding soup didn't look like any Italian wedding soup I've enjoyed in the past. I searched and search and finally found one little meatball. My friend sitting next to me even commented that it didn't look like Italian wedding soup. I had the veal braciole (sp?) for my entree. I was a bit disappointed. It was on the dry side with a very bland taste. Also, it took a long time for our food to arrive. We were seated by 7:00 P.M. We had already had a cocktail in the bar, so, maybe one drink was ordered at the table. Our food didn't arrive at the table until after 8:30 P.M.
the ambiance was horrible and when you walk in you feel you are walking into a bar it was so loud. The waiter had no clue as to what was the specials, and he told us he could not find the specials menu. Not the best customer service.
This was our first time there. My husband and I were celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary with our three children. We were very excited to be there. The excitement was deflated immediately when our waitress approached our table. She was rude and abrupt. She was distracted and did not pay attention to our order. One example of this was that I told her I was allergic to tomatoes and that I could not have them in my salad yet she brought them in my salad. This is just one example which could have been disasterous if i had eaten the salad.
We had a large party of 10 people, some from out of town. Everyone was so impreesed. The waitress was so attentive and the food was outstanding.
