Appetizers were very good, food and desert were ok…
Excellent service! Warm and welcoming ambiance.
The grilled oysters are a must. I can just eat those for a meal in itself.
They have a limited amount of sushi rolls, mostly doused in mayo or sauces and pretty expensive. The restaurant itself is great for a date night. Pretty romantic. Our server was timely but robotic and not very warm. The spicy edamame was excellent though.
Always enjoy Chicago Oyster House; love their grilled oysters and they have a nice selection of sushi, sashimi and main entree alternatives such as steak, lobster tail and lamb chops. There is something available for all tastes.
Not many restaurants near the McCormick Place convention center. Chicago Oyster House is a short walk from the Marriott and a bit farther from the Hyatt. Inside is small and cosy, with an electric fireplace. Only a few people there early on a Monday evening. Prices are on the high side. A glass of wine, cup of clam chowder and sushi appetizer was $65 after they included a 20% gratuity (first time I have seen this for a party of one). Food was very good and service was attentive. Would recommend to those with deep pockets or a business credit card.
The food was absolutely delicious. Incredibly rewarding experience. Everything was fresh and amazing!!
Chicago Oyster House is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. Everything from the ambiance, customer service and the food is always a 10!! The food is always on point.
Made reservations for a table for two and was seated at the sushi bar. Was told that there’s was a convention that book reservations so we would have to sit at the sushi bar. Food was pretty good, however the service was rushed throughout the night. Also, we were charged gratuity upfront for two people. Not a big fan of this considering the service was subpar. Probably not going back.
It was a wonderful opportunity for our family to enjoy some thing special this weekend. Our server was excellent!
We really enjoyed the service and the food. We will come back.
Please be aware of their policy of charging 50% of the item if you are unsatisfied for any reason including quality.
Service was very slow for the amount of patrons in the restaurant. It would have been helpful to have staff come by to let us know about delays. Price of food was quite expensive along with mandatory service charge of 20 percent. Quality of food was fine.
Great high-end restaurant with amazing staff and food. The oysters, Sushi, and prime rib were all spectacular!
Rosie the bartender was perfect
Excellent food and service. A bit expensive per the quantity however. Would definitely visit again though!
Great date night dinner spot for two or double date!
The food was very good. The menu is quite varied, so it is easy to pick out interesting items. My only quibble was that the waitress not very attentive (because she was also working at the bar) and we had to talk with other waitstaff about what we needed.
Room temperature raw oysters, dysfunctional service and a tab for $300+…. We will never return.
The food was amazing, the service was outstanding. The restaurant is smaller than expected but overall everything was excellent.
The oysters were disappointing while the rest of the items (sushi, maki rolls, and calamari) was simply just ok.
We had a delicious dinner at the Chicago Oysters House and the service was top notch! Highly recommend it.
The ambience was excellent, food was excellent, and service was Superb.
Great fresh oysters! Made reservations and was seated in reasonably time. I always enjoy my meals here!
Our server was friendly and professional. Our food was perfect... and I mean perfect. We had the NY Strip (medium) The wagyu (medium rare) and the lamb chops (med) and . All were cooked to perfection. I must admit that the wagyu was the most tender steak I've ever had. That said, I am more used to the flavor profile of a traditional American cut of beef and I prefer it. Still I'm glad to have experienced the wagyu. The star of the meal was the Lamb Chops and I highly, highly recommend them. The drinks were f'ing excellent, also.
NOW, this restaurant is a seafood house but my date was allergic to shellfish so, we decided to skip all fish and shellfish altogether.
FINDING PARKING WAS RIDICULOUS
OVERALL: highly recommend
Everything was delicious, I wish I could eat here everyday.
Oysters were very good here. So was the big eye tuna. Coworker got a steak and said it was over cooked. Good dinning experience
Our entire experience was perfect from start to finish. Our waiter was so attentive and patient. Our waitress was equally attentive and patient. My food, scallops, steamed rice and sautéed broccolini. Every bite was perfect. It is honestly the best meal I have ever had. I am gluten free due to allergies and everything was carefully prepared. Definitely a must visit.
Great food! Great experience!
Great oysters of all kinds, delicious steaks and lobster.
The Chicago Oyster House is one of our favorites. Always enjoy it!
They have an automatic 20% gratuity for parties over 2 people. In my opinion this incentivizes poor service. Indeed we had horrible service with many mistakes and overcharges. The food took WAY TOO long.
I had the filet, it was not good or of high quality. Our server seemed overwhelmed and wasn’t attentive despite only having a couple tables. It was for our first wedding anniversary so it was very disappointing.
The restaurant is small and it was hot. The food and service was excellent! The cocktails were not good. Destiny our waitress was awesome and accommodating.
Such a great meal. Staff and service were excellent! Fresh seafood as good as you can get in the Midwest.
Service was fairly good, salmon and chowder were excellent, but price for a couple drinks ($24) rediculous
A high-class dining experience in a comfortable environment. The food and service do not disappoint!
The food was just ok. But it was overpriced for the quality received
Great ambience! It was my birthday and I had the best service. The oysters and sushi were amazing!
