I went for Mother’s Day 2021 and it was amazing! The food was delicious! I had The Rockefeller and the Delaware Bay Oysters along with the lamb chops, wasabi mashed potato’s, Sautéed mushroom with sake, sauté baby spinach with garlic, also an oyster shooter with sake
FABULOUS service and the food was delicious!! A little pricey but totally worth it, I will be back!!!!
Food was amazing and delicious! Colossal shrimp, Lobster tail, sautéed garlic spinach. The Mrs had Lamb chops. Service was great. Went on Saturday night before Mother’s Day. Almost forgot about the oysters entrees were so good: pricey but well worth it! First time, definitely will be back!
Oysters and service was good
Great service and the oysters were great. The only problem I had this time was with the seared tuna. It was very tough. Other than that, it was great.
They were great. Food, service were excellent. Lil pricey but worth it.
I felt rushed although there were not many guests I felt rushed. The food was mediocre at best especially for the price. I will not be dining there again. The service was good though.
Amazing experience. Great service.
The food was excellent with the exception of the garden salad which was average. We had both raw and grilled oysters for an appetizer. Both were great. My wife had the grilled prawns which were seasoned and grilled properly. I had the sushi deluxe dinner which was excellent- generous proportions of fish.
Absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Excellent service. Calm, relaxing atmosphere. Delicious food and drinks. Five stars.
Great food great service. Fun and different menu accommodates many different tastes.
The ambience was very nice quiet intimate the waiters and service with very good very Attentive And patient The food was OK fair I've had better however the seafood appetiser options are well priced their meat selection like the lamb chops are overpriced and were not that good had a very sweet taste to them not very well seasoned The entrees are little more bland so you would definitely need to extra season Nice selection of drinks from all levels Hi into low a little overpriced but reasonable for the South loop
The food was delicious!
Excellent all around Service was incredible food better
I wanted CHAR GRILLED OYSTERS. The ones I had here ARE NOT THAT. Other than that, it was cool.
First off this
I think the food was good. Blue Point Oysters were really small. Lobster wasn't that good, a little over cooked. Filet Mignon was excellent had it prepared medium rare. Drinks weren't that great and way over priced. The waitress was very good. Parking was an issue.
First date and he wasn’t bug on seafood
Food was delicious, service was wonderful. Would definitely recommend.
My birthday, it was awesome
Tried Chicago oyster house when they first opened, the food was excellent some construction was still taking place. Several years later decided to try it for restaurant week and very pleased with the renovations, the ambience and the food!
Great food and staff, keep up the great work!
Waitress was very kind, food was fresh and delicious. 2nd time there will return.
Awesome, definitely will be going back! Thanks Chicago Restaurant week
Great food and great service. The staff was very attentive. Great value for your money during restaurant week.
Delicious seafood! My brother and I stopped here for restaurant week and it was our first time. Definitely worth the stop and will have to try it out again soon! The ambiance is nice and great quality seafood.
I love the relaxed feel of this place, but I don't think that we will be returning any time soon. The clam chowder was just ok. We got the tiger prawn shrimp and it wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be. There was really no flavor. The sautéed mushrooms were good and we used the dipping sauce from the shrimp shumai to add flavor to the shrimp. Service was ok but not as good as the service the first time we went.
Our waitress was great Becky loved her personality. We went for restaurant week and what we picked wasn’t that great but will go back again because we have been there before and loved it. Their clam chowder soup is the bomb. We wanted to try something new but maybe should have stuck with what we know already.
Classy little hidden restaurant. Honestly I was expecting a lot more. Reserved a table for two at 5:45 on Friday night. I came for the Restaurant Week pre fixe menu but I saw the oyster shooters on the main menu and ordered those. It was delicious and my mouth wanted more. The clam chowder was spot on. Not at all grainy but creamy and smooth and buttery and super delicious. For the price we paid I expected handmade shumai at least. Our entrees were the salmon and the surf and turf sushi. Both were just fine. The salmon was presented nicely and was cooked to a buttery flakey deliciousness. But it lacked pizzaz. Same with the sushi roll. I was allured to the idea of slices of steak atop a blue crab sushi roll. The meat was cooked perfectly medium rare, but also lacking flavor. It was just fine. I would come here again for ONLY the oysters and even then 1 oyster is around $3.50 and minimum orders are 6 oysters. Dessert was a key lime pie slice and a NY cheesecake slice. Felt like eating those assortment cake slices from the grocery store. I ordered the lychee martini (spot on! Delish and perfect lychee taste!) if I ever go back I’ll be ordering the oyster shooters, a clam chowder and two rounds of oysters and that’s it! Total bill was $270 (2x $55 dinner menu, 2x $18 martinis, 2x $6 oyster shooters, 20% service fee) I loved the appearance of the restaurant, the decorations were cool.
I enjoyed everything. Only wished my blackened fish had more flavor, spice and less bland
From the start everything was great! The food, The drinks and the service! I can't wait to go back
Staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially Becky. They follow COVID protocols and we always feel safe going there. The oysters are the star of the show and they don’t disappoint.
Beckie was the best. It seems as if she was the only waitress seeing to multiple tables. This was also a great restaurant to try oysters. I suggest the ICHI oysters. I would definitely visit again.
Food and service were fantastic! Ambiance was devine.
It was a perfect placement and evening for a date night.
Always enjoyed this little neighborhood gem. Very nice waitstaff and good food. Glad they have survived Covid. We will be back
Our waitress was very attentive and helpful.
Oysters have no seasoning and are not good at all
